Pikachu has some matchups on the list: vs Jibanyan, vs Agumon or Patamon (no evolution), vs Zatch Bell, vs Stitch...
Also we have Pikachu Libre (?) vs Rainbow Mika or John Cena

Dunno why but i dislike Mickey vs Bugs. I get it's the battle of the mascots but i still don't like it that much...

Bugs vs The Mask: Censored Slapstick vs Gruesome Slapstick. Both have DC crossovers & the Mask has even some priror knowledge on Bugs

Mickey vs Bugs: THE Western Cartoon mascots that have lasted decades.
I know they dont have raw pure "connections", but my god its a big rivalry, at least way back then.
I think I've said it before, while DBs should have connections, exceptions can be made to rivalries, and Mickey vs Bugs is a massive one if done right.

Doesn't Popeye have the same reasons+more? He has rivaled Mickey before Bugs was even created.

Mickey and Bugs being animals, as well as mascots for big corporations helps it more. Sure, Popeye is underrated giant... but compared to Disney and Warner Bros? No chance.
Also Mickey and Bugs cartoon shenanigans have closer fighting styles. Bugs eats carrots, but isnt buffed by them like Spinach does to Popeye. Popeye is also a brawler, so you'd need someOne who could Punch him well, Man.

Did you forgot The Super Carrots? Those do amp Bugs. Technically both Bugs & Mickey have picked up boxxing, judo & other forms of h2h combat. But your point still stands, cause unlike Popeye, they don't throw hands as often as he does & would rather use weapons instead. I'll scratch this one from the list

But those are not really a staple of Bugs' powers, even when DB might give them to him. Its honestly things like this that bothers me, you can attempt to compare Supercarrots to Spinach, but those carrots are so not part of Bugs like Spinach is to Popeye.
These kinds of comparisons seem pop up in general and if matchup only has connections like these, then thats when I think MU is a stretch.

IIRC there was a line for even the normal carrot making him strong too and he has weaponized his carrots multiple times. Bugs cultivated a garden full of those super carrots(DC Crossovers), was said to have an unlimited amount of them(World of Mayhem Comics) & uses them as a last resort. Usually Popeye uses his Spinach boost near the end of the episode too.
Edit: DB gave Scrooge obscure rayguns that he has used only in like 2 issues

Yeah except Mickey vs Bugs is an iconic rivalry and has legacy to it. It was basically Mario vs Sonic before Mario vs Sonic. All of those matchups you listed don't come close to having the legacy. And a few of the characters don't need to come back.

Its less about not using obscure stuff, its more about that supercarrots are not integral to Bugs, which is important because thats apparently one of major connections with Popeye.
If Popeye gets a redo, Arale would fit as 2nd best match.

He's never needed to, but there's no reason he couldn't when it's considered possible for him to make a Lantern Construct replica of the Source Wall.
