I'd say you're right, but imagine if this is what their researchers ACTUALLY believe as well. It'd be funny as absolute hell if this wasn't just a throwaway line, and that when the death battle comes out, to the shock of like, what? 99% of the audience, Reverse-Flash ends up taking an L. The result would be wrong as hell, but it'd be the single funniest meltdown we'd probably ever see, coming right from the DC side for once.

Tbh looking at the reason he was removed it's kinda not explained, like there's some investigations but unlike with Activision/Blizzard situation, there doesn't seem to be evidences.
Like, even in something less popular cases, like situation with CEO of Nintendo RU, there was evidences but there he just claimed to be by a few people.
