No, really. Ever Crisis shows a 15 year old Sephiroth dreaming repeatedly of having a mother that loves him and welcoming him after dangerous missions. It flies past creepy and just becomes depressing.

I can see the appeal, especially between them following very similar western anti-hero archetypes (despite Jack being from Japanese origin). The variety of the Force can also lead to a lot of interactions with Magic and other Job skills.
Not a jab at OPM, and I don't think it's wrong to like a verse for scaling, tbh, but I still think it sucks that the hype of a verse relies so much on a "my dad can beat your dad" mindset.

It wasnt about which episodes got backlash for character treatment or which episodes had bad verdict points ala Kratos MFTL+ Helios light.
It was about winner "stealing" loser's moment, in this case, Kratos did Asura's "stop a planet sized being's fist attack", and this specifically is mentioned as being a bad thing because they made Kratos do Asura's thing.
I cant recall other episodes doing this kind of stealing. Besides ASilver literally stealing the Key Sword and the various absorptions, but these are stealing powers & weapons, not replicating moments.
