DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I get the appeal but not feeling it rather Asta fight someone who isn't a brick merchant after that mess with Deku
Mash actually isn't that much of a brick merchant, he has a fair bit of goofy abilities due to his Saitama-like strength and borderline toonforce skill. He unironically has more hax and skill than Deku could wish for.

Unless you mean "I want Asta to fight someone who actually uses magic", Mash is a very good choice thanks to both connections and his ridiculous versatility

Eh not really sold on it
And yes that's what I mean don't feel like here it'll matter as much

I do appreciate how they pointed out the '9,800 iq' thing was just a boast on Bowser's part. I mean, I could see him being really smart, what with making the galaxy engine and all, but he does do dumb things, kind of a Doctor Doofenshmirtz lite.
IQ isn't indicative of overall intelligence anyway, you can literally train for IQ tests.

I said this a couple pages, but I will paraphrase what I said: Bowser is undeniably a very intelligent and cunning character, but he comes off as being dumb because Bowser's tactics involve him getting up close and using his physical capabilities compared to other villains like Eggman.

Of course Bowser can be and has demonstrated smart cunning, he's more of a blunt and straightforward type thinker then thinking multiple steps ahead of his enemies.

Oh don’t worry though, they think it’s only a small minority that’s upset, like thor vs vegeta, apparently.
Comparing this to Thor vs Vegeta is laughable as hell considering damn near everyone and there mother bitched about the outcome and there were shit tons of debunks on the episode on YouTube let's alone everywhere else

Shit the only salt I saw for Thor vs Vegeta was about Vegeta scaling other than that everyone knew Thor was gonna win and Vegeta was Deadman walking in there were hardly any salt on that

God he really needs his profile updated. His current one needs to have his stats match up to Domina, and he needs a whole new one for his post training and post purgatory states. And the latter needs a calculation for the continent push, though he'd probably end up and small planetary to planetary anyways.

the fight is very even in all honesty, and could go either way. Not to mention the connections are rock solid. But yeah I can understand the disappointment for fighting another magicless character without being able to show the anti magic.

I've noticed something, death battle and fans of death battle put more time and energy complaining about criticism and debunks than actually working towards remedying the underlying issues causing them. You don't like how people are pointing out the janky moments in the animations? Instead of complaining about people pointing out the jank, work towards not having the jank.

Of course, there will always be someone who disagrees with an outcome, nothing will change that no matter the matchup or verdict. But if you don't like people breaking down why the analysis for omniman vs bardock was wrong, why are you reposting their videos to bitch about them existing. If you think they're wrong, actually work to debunk their logic and reasoning. All reposting the video with the caption "Why is blud yapping, it's peak! 💀"or whatever the zoomers on twitter are saying at the moment tells me is that you cannot actually find their reasoning wrong so you're mocking it to try to make it look bad. When even your own hugbox discord think's your wrong then something should be telling you that you may have ****** up.

When literally the only people on your side are the twitter accounts and youtubers who review death battle, and even then, most of them are saying "the research doesn't matter" then you've ****** up.

I don't even care about them getting it wrong, it's this complete dismissiveness towards a fanbase who are willing to directly give them money to save their show.

True, but

"Why is blud yapping, it's peak! 💀"

Seven Deadly pedophiles
That hurts considering I actually enjoyed some of the concepts, characters and ideas it had then it got creepy with the questionable romantic subplots/fanservice then the Demon King being all over the place as a villain which lead to chaotic deus ex machina villain coming out at the and and ofc the seven deadly frames anime adaption in S3 with the censored milk coloured blood on Netflix.

7DS is actually another reason I don't dislike Fairy Tail anymore and have some respect to it's fans.

If I ever get through the never-ending hole that is the Lupin III revisions, I may decide to do it myself if those profiles have still yet to be updated
It's nice to have some more supporters here. The only reason things have been slow is because

1. The main person who made profiles and calculated feats doesn't seem to be all too interested in the verse now
2. My computer is fried and the screen remains dark despite it turning on
3. Quantifying feats from the fanbook such as Adam Jobs supposedly being able to destroy the entire world with his darkness magic, the same kind of magic that vaporizes shit if it's void statement isn't looked at

Mind sending me that fanbook? It'd be nice to have it on hand whenever I decide to start helping out

Fanbase is parasocial, can't handle the staff being criticized period lol. Didn't we already realize that when fans kept bitching about the Kickstarter losing $3?

I don’t respect any of them tbh, I’m kinda jaded
