So was saying "superman had limits" pre gvs3 while dong the 6D shit out of context and saying theyd use Heroesku (when ******* nothing in the episode implied or showed heroesku's experience or unique powers)

Well you see. Technically Gogeta is only half Goku and the winner Vegito is also only half Goku. Therefore Goku only really has a 0.25 win on death battle because he was half the win and half the loss

Animation does not correlate to the research 100% of the time. You can have things mentioned in the research, but end up doing jack shit in the animation proper. They still gave him stats of his Heroes counterpart, but no casual is going to recognize that stuff.
And yeah? 6-D is a limit? Battleboard brain rot is off the charts nowadays but 6-D is still a limit. And that was them being generous for Supes considering we recently got 12.5D lanterns, which he would scale to.
There's nothing wrong with acknowledging how things have went down when you have a character look-alike

How I view it:
Base Sonic in the IDW comics is wall level and supersonic, and going with Ian Flynn’s conception Super Sonic is planetary and FTL.
Mario is athlete-level speed but building level strength-wise, he’s more of a cartoon with all his powerups and revives and would outlast Super before throwing base Sonic into space (as he dies without air) or whatever. Mario wins.
You’re not redpilled enough to agree with my take. Mario vs Sonic 3 WILL be this.

Alright let's unpack that. Are we really going to pretend after Bowser vs Eggman that Death Battle has no effect on character perception? Don't get me wrong Death Battle is very far from the sole determiner of how a character is perceived however to imply it has no meaningful influence is far-fetched especially on casuals who's first exposure to a character might be Death Battle.
Also why are you so certain that Sonic fans as a collective want Sonic to be more respected than Mario and Goku specifically and not just more respected in general? And for that matter while a small fraction of them might be asses about it, as is the case with literally any large community why would a desire for Sonic to be more respected be a bad thing? Like it really seems you're going out of your way to villify Sonic fans over random outliers that you'd find in any community or by the desire for something they care about to be respected that is frankly normal.

I wanted to comment on this specific point because it raises a question: why does Sonic need to win in some random internet show that A) is fanfiction and B) not everyone knows about in order to gain respect? I mean it's not like Sonic has gone through one of the most surprising redemption arc in terms of reputation thanks to a string of well made games, a very successful trilogy of movies and a spin off show, a high quality (subjectively speaking) comic book series that stands on its own from the Archie comics, multiple crossovers, and a SEGA that seems to be taking Sonic as a franchise seriously instead of as a meme or anything like that.
No....apparently all of that means nothing, and the only way to earn respect is from some random internet show that pits fictional characters against each other in fights to the death that only a small group of people know about.

Yeah. This Death Battle topic aside the Sonic Renaissance has been amazing. There really hasn't been a better time to be a Sonic fan aside from the 90s.
