Oh yeah, that's absolutely "big fear" feelings for me on a few of my matchups as well.
Like, would I love for Fate's Gilgamesh to appear on the show? Absolutely! Am I afraid that the episode would distill him down to his FSN personality only and 'Mongrel' jokes? Entirely!
Heck as much as I love Rubyaka, my biggest gripe that isn't post-analysis nitpicks is the whole narrative for the fight. Why is Maka with her damn near top-of-the-verse Soul Perception not able to tell that Ruby isn't a corrupted soul until after she's killed her? As much as I love how well they got Maka and Soul's dynamic with each other the crux for the fight itself is a tad bit annoying. But I can at least put it aside a little because, I mean this is Death Battle. Some conceits have to be made, but even still they've written better interactions in the past.

No you're absolutely right. The 'Eggman Army Agenda' posting and likewise for Bowser absolutely kicked off and carried on during that period. It's one of those things you could chart on a timeline with damn near 100% accuracy.

I don't think stuff like "Agenda Piece" gradually getting popular throughout 2022 - 2023 and then agenda stuff in general having a massive boom in 2024 due to the potential man meme helped either.
Like, Agenda posting is funny in most fandoms because there's a lot of things you can discuss or joke about outside of that, but for a fandom that is pretty much based entirely on power scaling it ends up making the sheer amount of posts like that annoying.

@SpecterSkater Does remind me of one Sonic scaler who tried to argue DB was completely wrong on Eggman vs Bowser and he tried to scale Infinite above Solaris based on a random one off statement, which everyone in his comment section roasted him.
@Dust_Collector I've seen so many stupid potential man memes done on characters where half of the "slander" I have to ask the people who made them if they actually payed attention to the series at all.

I would want all 5 members of the Stick Gang to appear to fight the Party from Epic Battle Fantasy. Pretty much a battle between the most powerful Newgrounds animation quintet and the most powerful Newgrounds game quintet where both series are full of reference humor.

I'm pretty sure there was also a thread to get Dragon Ball Heroes (I believe) to Low 1-C, which also caused the standards for Tier 1 to change (I think).
Though, it's not like Dragon Ball is the only series that causes these big, site-wide changes (though, it does seem like it's the most common franchise to cause it). I remember when Bleach went through two or three threads to get upgraded to Low 2-C, only for threads to be made right after that made the reasons they got to Low 2-C much harder to get (the page for stabilization feats was made directly in response to the Bleach upgrades, from what I recall).
