I know I can't speak for every DB fan out there, but I know that one of my favorite parts of the episodes is learning about characters I don't know about and seeing research on a verse I'm not familiar with. Fanboys are gonna fanboy and the bigger the franchise DB uses the more fanboys with vocal opinions (for better or worse) will see it and speak up on matches/characters.

Ahhhh good point. I forgot that it was those that had the bigger part of the morale issue. Been watching too many meme run challenges on Total War: Warhammer 3 and forgot not every Skaven unit is a coward. Just a good chunk of them :V
Well, every Skaven except a very select few is a coward, Buffy just has to kill Ikit.
This is also a big issue I’ve been having that I forgot to touch on. I care far more about if the characters are misrepresented character or narrative wise than anything scaling related. And you know for a fact that certain members of the community just go off DB’s interpretation no matter if it’s in character or not.
Same, Soul Eater has a special place in my heart, it was one of the first manga i ever read and its what got me into the genre in the first place. Its one of my favorites and it bothers me to no end to see it misrepreseted the way it has been the past few months.
