Video Games Hot Takes

I'll never forgive EA for what they did to Command and Conquer, and Star Wars games, and Dead Space, and Mass Effect, and Crysis, and Dragon Age, and Medal of Honor, and Skate, and Titanfall, and Dungeon Keeper, and Oddwor- nevermind, that one's still alive luckily.
Dead Space Remake
Star Wars: Jedi Order/Survivor
Even the evil company can release a goodie for once

i hate modern video game devs making a sequel or remake and then only focusing on the pvp aspect and ignoring the pve aspect i hate modern video game devs making a sequel or remake and then only focusing on the pvp aspect and ignoring the pve aspect i hate modern video game devs making a sequel or remake and then only focusing on the pvp aspect and ignoring the pve aspect i hate modern video game devs making a sequel or remake and then only focusing on the pvp aspect and ignoring the pve aspect i hate modern video game devs making a sequel or remake and then only focusing on the pvp aspect and ignoring the pve aspect

@Shmooply Does this have to do with a certain game made by a company named after an arctic natural disaster that does a hero shooter series?
Does this have to do with having to endure an entire decade of developers ignoring the PVE and other aspects of their game to promote and enhance their multiplayer stuff? Does this have to do with your already low expectations with the company-named-after-an-arctic-natural-disaster shattering like glass? Does this have to do with watching from the sidelines as it doesn't update one of its most popular games for four years to develop on the PVE gamemode for its sequel, and then watching the executives of company-named-after-an-arctic-natural-disaster order its developers to stop working on the PVE gamemode because turns out they didn't make enough money from their stupid battlepass to help support the development of said PVE gamemode? Does this have to do with hearing the announcement, then suddenly the company-named-after-a-dangerous-activity-involving-bridges approaches you to tell you that they're remaking one of their classics? Does this have to do with hoping they'll do the remake justice, only for company-named-after-a-dangerous-activity-involving-bridges to gut punch you and tell you that the remake will remove all the PVE aspects, and only focus on the PVP?

Maybe.

Wait what game is this referring to lol, this sounds awful.

You're asking someone from former Yugoslavia this. Take a good, loooong guess.
@Shmooply wtf is with you and boomer ass shooter series. 🗿
Bruh... for once internet peeps are actually making me feel young, so thanks I guess?

Tbh I've got little interest in FPS, I gave them a fair shot but between seeing my friends turn a dog NPC into blood soup while playing CoD, getting bored playing OW while seeing content creators go mad over it and still trying to understand what exactly Apex Legends is doing, it's pretty evident it's a video game genre that on a fundamental level I will never truly enjoy.

Fr fr completely agree though I still play overwatch and fortnite with my gf but really shooter games are kinda seriously mid asf

I can't fathom how some people cannot do anything other than multi-player gaming and have complete trouble sitting down with single player games

The only shooter game I like is Splatoon, and that comes out of good aim not being particularly required to be a good player, and the game shifting more into a platformer as well, giving it a quite unique aestetic and way more variety than just shooting the opponent.
Oh yeah splatoon is good shit any day as well

For me, I only play shooter game when I go to a game center with my friends, as really that's the only time it is fun. Though, most of the fun comes from knifing your friend in a gun-game (ie a mode where you get a new weapon every kill, but knife kills demotes the weapon of the dude you killed), and just hearing them rage as they go down 5 weapons.

Then again, we could quite literally play the shittiest game ever and still have fun as long as all of us are there (Not online, as in physically there)

Though, online multi-player shooter games can disappear for all I care about. I tried OW, fortnite, apex legends, ******* pubg, and I couldn't get into them at all.

Have I mentioned this one already? Dont think so.

I need more mecha games. I want more Armored Core on the PC. I want sweaty nerdy mech building. I want brain meltingly fast PvP Mech combat. I want cheesy military sim story lines ala Ace Combat, Metal Gear Solid and Armored Core on PC. I want a new Publisher and Developer take over Cosmic Break because ****. Cyber. Step. I want those Japanese Salarymen to STOP BEING STUCK IN THE 20's YOU GUYS ARE NOT NINTENDO. GET ON WITH THE TIMES. Please publish more games on the PC. And stop producing shovelware Gundam games for ***** sake. Dont exclusivly produce Gundam games, look at their poor sales and conclude that no one want Mech games, because **** me how many people do you know that watched more than just 3 episodes of any Gundam series, not me included.

Honestly this rant woudnt had to happen if Cyberstep stopped being such a incompetent company and properly helm Cosmic Break. WHY DOES YOUR "GLOBAL" VERSION ONLY HAVE SERVERS IN JAPAN FOR ***** SAKE???

Play Kingdom Hearts, there's a surprisingly deep minigame in each numbered game of doing spaceships with blocks and driving them around
