Pirate's Rise • RP Thread

"What is your current standing with the government?" Finn ask.
"Hell if I know, I never really participated in the more political things, I probably have kept my standing with my father, mainly because chasing dreams is something he approves of, but from what I know the big world nobles hated me, my sister, and my parents mainly because my father, when he actually has to, does keep them a bit in check via just brute force alone." Magnus responded

"I meant more in regards to if there are extra consequences if things go south are they going to punish us under assumptions like we encouraged you to become a pirate, do they have grounds to assume we kidnapped you, I would just like to know." Finn explains.

"Seeing as I left a note, and the fact that if anyone of this crew was brought before a judge my father would damn well be there... no. Knowing him he might even break them out." Magnus said with a shrug

"By the way, since we're about to venture to the Grand Line, I presume you prepared a good navigator?" Ask Drake
"That's actually something I'm hoping to find on Kezan, since I couldn't find any, and we aren't going to the grand line without one, that's for damn sure." Magnus said

"But luck should be on our side!"

(Yes I have a Navigator prepared lol)

"Well I damn hope this navigator is good, in both navigating and combat wise." Says Drake

(good meta rp-ing)

Meanwhile...

A woman stood in the darkness, the sounds of organs being spilled on the ground filled her hearing, she'd heard it seven times before, and it sickened her each time, she scurried out of her hiding spot, and saw her last defender and an attacker bleeding out on the ground and she rushed over, her tank top and shorts allowing her better mobility "no... not you..." She murmured

Her defender, a large burly man coughed, and pulled himself up to face her "This is the end for me, Peridot, heh, and it was worth every second, I love this place, and I enjoyed my time with you greatly...!" He said with a smile

"I... I'm sorry I couldn't help you... I..." Peridot murmured

"Keep going, you'll find that Balthasar didn't consider you a great navigator for nothing!" He said before he expired, holding out his bag of platinum for Peridot, which she took and murmured "I'm sorry, thankful you... for everything..." before scampering off through the pitch black alleys before she came upon a building, she'd visited it many times before, and she even knew the secret back door

Taking a key out of her pocket she undid the complex lock and went in, making sure to lock it behind her, and walked down the staircase to the basement of the building...

As Peridot walked into the backdoor…a man stumbled out one of the rooms, his eyes panicked. Blood covered several open wounds decorating his body, and a deep bruise spread across his exposed chest, his shirt ripped to tatters by what appeared to be a bladed weapon. The man shambled away, seemingly not noticing Peridot’s presence as he dragged himself up the stairs toward the main entrance.

“One week. If you don’t pay up by then, I’ll break every ******* bone in your ******* body, you hear?!!” The voice growled. It was deep, gravelly, a slight trill echoing from the bottom of his throat, almost as if he was speaking underwater. A moment later, a loud smash could be heard from the room, accompanied by an exasperated sigh.

“…******* apes…” The voice muttered.

Peridot didn't flinch but she did wince a bit, she didn't like it, but it wasn't exactly a new thing for her to see as she walked forward and let her shadow darken the doorway "Dusik?" She asked, her skinny frame was definitely belonging to the right person at least

As Peridot stood in the doorway, she could see what seemed to be a…normal office. Wooden tile decorated the floor, and a thick purple rug covered a large portion of the room. The walls themselves were decorated by a variety of intricate seashells, either attached to the walls themselves, or sitting atop the several shelves present on either side of the room. It smelled…strange, to say the least, a mixture of the salty scent of the sea, combined with the stench of cigarette smoke. The lingering, acrid smell of blood still painted the interior, further intensifying the strange environment.

At the center of the room, stood a plain, wooden desk. Documents and contracts littered the surface, a small Den Den Mushi sitting near its edge. Near the front, stood a nametag, "Dusik Ebisu" scribbled roughly across the surface.

Behind it…stood a monster. A massive, humanoid shark, clad in an ill-fitting business suit, appeared before her, his massive figure seeming to make the rest of the room seem small in comparison. His hands rested against the desk, fresh blood pouring from his thick, scaly fists. His sharp, intense gaze shifted towards Peridot, made only slightly more bearable by the sunglasses covering his eyes.

As he saw Peridot come in, his expression shifted, his sharp teeth flashing as he gave her a toothy grin.

"..Ms. Moonstone, my friend! Come in, come in!" The shark said. He raised a hand, beckoning her into the room, inadvertently flicking stray bits of blood across his desk.

"B-business as usual, I'm guessing?" Peridot asked, stepping into the room, she seemed nervous and shaken, the lack of anyone accompanying her definitely said a few things about her current situation

"Just a little...business dispute. You know how it is." Dusik said. He grabbed a towel from nearby, nonchalantly wiping some blood from his hands. He looked back up at Peridot, raising an eyebrow.

"Don't you usually have some...goons with you? Could've sworn you traveled with muscle." He said.

"Yeah... usually." Peridot said and then sighed, her shoulders slumping, clearly things were not kind to them, to say the least as Peridot shook her head quickly, even the slightest noise causing a large and thick black gem to manifest at the direction of the sound, clearly an Onyx

"I'm just jumpy right now... well, Im sure you don't want to listen to my woes, but if you are then ill talk, if not I have some information and something that's actually business-related." Peridot said, opening her eyes, now that she was in solid light and actively had it was clear she had Heterochromia, her left eye was white with a black outline with the opposite for her right eye; Black with a white outline. And the pouch she had in her hand definitely was a part of that business

Dusik raised an eyebrow behind his sunglasses, regarding Peridot for a moment.

"...Let's get down to business first." He said. He fished around in his suit, grabbing a cigar from his pocket.

"...What's this information about? The Marines aren't starting a crackdown, are they?" He asked. His eyes narrowed slightly, hoping he wouldn't need to deal with any more officers breathing down his neck.

"I'm not quite sure of the reason, but apparently the "Hero of the Marines" is coming to the island, with only one ship, so it can't be that big of a crackdown, if one at all, but, they have to be coming here of all places for something specific right?" Peridot said, she hadn't heard too much, but she knew it wasn't a rumor at least

Dusik grimaced, accidentally crushing the cigar in his fingers as his fists clenched.

"Damn it...Having a hotshot like her around is bad for business either way." He muttered angrily. He took a deep breath, tossing the crushed cigar into a trash bin nearby.

"You got any clue what this is about?"

"No, which does worry me, honestly I was hoping you knew something on the hero of the marines as a whole, I barely know anything except she took down some big hotshot pirate before I was born..." Peridot responded

Dusik breathed out.

"...A while back, I had this...deal going on with a big-time pirate crew. Won't bore you with the specifics, but... I'll just say they're the type I wouldn't mess with if the money wasn't good." He said. He leaned back, his hands resting on the table.

"...Well, one day, I hear word that not just the captain, but the entire damn FLEET had been destroyed, in a single afternoon. Completely gone. Imagine my shock, huh." He said.

"...Ain't know for sure...but I reckon it had to be her, or one of her lackeys. Either way, she ain't someone to mess with."

"Wh-whoah..." Peridot murmured, seeming a little more jumpy now before shaking her head quickly "I-Ill try to stay out of her way then..."

"W-well, I want to deposit some money for the future, incase th-things don't go well one way or another..." Peridot murmured after giving Dusik a chance to respond, she wasn't trembling, but she certainly didn't like having nobody around to back her up- at least she had experience in the streets enough to get in and out quickly

Dusik's yellow eyes lowered to the pouch in her hand, a small, wolfish grin creeping onto his face.

"Now...that's music to my ears! How much is the deposit?" He asked.

"Seven Platinum." Peridot said, it was a third of what she had, but it was definitely a healthy sum seeing as Platinum, in our terms, was 100,000 US Dollars a pop

Dusik's eyes widened visibly. He hesitated for a moment, before taking out some paperwork, grabbing a severely undersized pencil before beginning to write the necessary information for the transaction.

"...You got guts, walking around with that much cash on ya. People would kill for even a single of those..." Duisk's said. He finished the paperwork with familiar skill, before sliding it across the desk for her to sign.

"I know, it's why I keep cash in my bag usually." Peridot murmured, opending the punch and putting out seven platinum, reading over everything in detail, making sure everything was in order on instinct before signing it

The contract was a standard one, guaranteeing the safe storage of her money, alongside reimbursement in the event it was lost or stolen. It wasn't beneath Dusik to scam his clientele, but it was clear he had no such plan for Peridot.

Dusik nodded at the girl as she read it over, raising a claw to scratch his thick, scaly skin.

"...Still. I'll admit I'm a bit worried about you walking all on your own. Don't get me wrong, it would be great for business if you keeled over so I could keep the platinum, but...I'd rather not lose you..." He said, leaning back in his chair.

"I did eat a Angel fruit, even if I am weak, push comes to shove I can use it to distract an attacker while I escape..." Peridot murmured, her eyes were rested on the table and she didn't meet Dusik's gaze

After taking his time, Miles finished the meal and called the crew, also taking out alcohol, water, and orange juice in case they wanted.
Angelica promptly responded, gifts of food and drink motivating the large, scarred woman to move quicker than she normally would. When she arrived to the kitchen, ducking under the door to enter, she rested her hand on one of her swords, which was still coated in a chipped sheathe, many structural bruises visible on the formation.

"What do yah got? I'm hungry as ****." She said, her stomach growling.
