"Pokémon Legends: Arceus" Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)

Also interesting is that Arceus kinda asks you to show him what you perceive the part of himself he gives to you as, which I'm guessing is the llama god form?

I suppose this means his true form is incomprehensible to humans. Again, not necessarily new info but it's actual confirmation
His true form is the thing you see, which still looks like a llama, just glowing with no details. I think you guys need to wait for more.

Palkia and Dialga new forms/evolutions in the ArceusLegend game :

......

Any chance anyone can compile a list of the dialogue that might be interesting for this site?

Seeing all the talk about who the player character is. Chances are they could just be a version of Dawn/Lucas from a world where Pokemon don't exist.

Is low 1-C Arceus feasible with what we know about the game so far?
You could argue it, you likely won't succeed though.

Reading through the text shows that their likely isn't any major upgrades coming soon. Not much we didn't already know here. Even the Origin Forms don't give any clear upgrade in power.

Those forms are specifically made to mimic arceus, and i'm pretty sure we never saw their birth in the games.

Probably not yet, they are kind building it up though but the closest thing for tier 1 is a poem about arceus creating the world via being aware of it, from what i understand, you could argue it means the world is on his imagination but i'd wait until the game is out since dialogue and lore could be way bigger

Arceus basically tests you (aka Boss Battle)
The player does not catch him, he joins your team directly after congratulating you for basically beating the game.

…aw man. I was hoping it was an Omnitype thing, that would’ve been epic (and Zygarde would’ve been the perfect counter for it)
Instead it’s a ‘Optimal Type’ thing? Due to how types work, is there really an optimal type for every situation?
In reference to this

I think it consists of automatically changing to the best type before attacking with Judgement

looks kinda disappointing tbh. Like yeah cool he stands there and shoots you. It's probably a hard fight but it basically just roll -> throw - > repeat. I guess the CT hold back when they see that they are fighting a kid or sth, as otherwise they'd just fly up and nuke the shit out of you.

-you're playing it safe with a sableye who has one weakness
-Arceus, k bro (changes typing to fairy) you are so screwed

It's clearly a test, the thing you throw at Arceus is something he gives you before you start.

Apparently after fighting Arceus he just joins your party. You don't catch him or throw a pokeball, he's just there

Anyways i like how in most games you fight gods in the end of the game, kill them to restore peace or whatever, constantly murdering whatever created you and then there's Pokemon where Arceus sees a child he likes and just sends them on an adventure and then joins their party afterwards and just chills there.
