Equal Stats Tournament 2022: Rex Salazar vs Garou (Semi-Final 1)

Again, no...That's not how equal stats tournament works.

You're literally going in circles now.

But the problem is, is that He'd have to see the abilities in action BEFORE he adapts, which Garou would have torn him apart by then, since he doesn't even need to hit to do damage with one of his styles either, and Garou can constantly change styles

Agreed. I'm well aware of this. But the same could be said for Rex.

However, Rex's only begins when the opponent poses an issue to him. Does Garou's adaptive evolution happen even when he's fine and comfortable? Because I can only recall this stuff happening in battles worth his time (Or battles where he is pre-exhausted prior hand)

and since Garou can blend all his styles into one at the same time, it's not far off to say that even if that indiviual style isn't, that the blended style would do that

I'm not sure about the whole dust argument, frankly that seems iffy to me.

I do still have to officially vote for Garou now, though.
Rex has pretty good wincons with dura-neg and adaption of his own, but I simply see Garou adapting way faster and ending the battle before it becomes a problem.

It's pretty much the same technique that turns things to dust if I recall correctly

I thought Garou's whole shtick was just "Kill me quick before I turn you into paste"

.....Which is why every single Martial Artist ability he has is supercharged and roided up. I didn't know that attack counted as a passive attack

it's definitely not passive

Even if Rex could adapt to it, I don't think that he'd be able to land a hit on Garou once he starts speed amping, and eventually garou would break through and overpower Rex

Garou FRA, but the 800x figure for his Adaptation speed is definitely wanked. That's entirely dependent on fan calcs which can change any second, it's not concrete or anything of the sort.
THANK YOU

Anyways yeah, even after seeing the new arguments, and disregarding the wankish 800x shit, Garou still seem to hold the upper edge, and the skill difference is apparent. Garou FRA.

You're saying Garou's adaptive evolution is going to skyrocket over the multipliers provided by Super saiyans 1 through Blue? And Ultra Instinct? Seriously?
He went from massively Hypersonic to FTL in a few seconds

He can sense killing intent

like if anyone in the area(even ones he can’t visibly see) has any internet to kill Him he will be alerted to it
And wtf? Sensing killing intent is still just enhanced senses, he still doesn't know their location

Which is why he needed to literally make a hole to see

I still don't see garou having a chance to adapt and grow in stats when this is all it takes plus being invisible, not only that garou has no way of avoiding it at the beginning as he could can only sense the area of his location and or sense that he has swung something which garou has no idea what it does or what happens. Garou would likely think it's just a normal sword

He has to actually hit Garou in the head for it to work, which is unlikely given Garou's reactions and skill. Not to mention it only cut through a single atom so I'm not even sure if it counts.

Btw it doesn't seem that Rex uses invisibility with his sword. That seems out of character for him. Also you guys are betting on Rex to use two specific things from his very expansive arsenal. That being his invisibility and his sword, which he doesn't even seem to start with in most cases.

It seems way more likely for Garou to just overwhelm him with skill, vibrations, and RE.

No he needed to make the hole and he needed the the guide book In order to see WHO exactly was after him

He still knew he had been surrendered by multiple people based off sensing their killing intent before he could see who they were

"You can't just counter the concept of martial arts"

Uhhhhh lets see.

An ability to passively absorb kinetic force and momentum and return it, Total Friction manipulation, Energy stagnation - Do I go on?....

He can literally make a build that makes punching, kicking or whatever physical strike irrelevant to him technically if that's what the Nanites dictate so.......Yeah.

To be fair, Garou shouldn't even have been used for this tournament

Garou wouldn't give him that chance, since it'd be over with a single hit

Need these to be addressed. I'm getting far too many mixed implications here that doesn't correlate well.

Not even going to address the Garou adaptation number scale that was attempted because that doesn't even work for a variety of reasons, but you guys already covered that for me.

Jag, Your literally arguing something old at this point, your "Rex perfectly adapts to counter anything" argument is such bullshit too

The styles are irrelevant. Rex's Nanites attack the /CORE/ aspect of the opponent's ability. In this case being Garou's martial arts prowess. He would have to find a way to overcome that very concept itself.
What do you mean by two things at once? And how does that correlate to the power creep overcoming Rex's powers?

The only KNOWN Weaknesses to the Nanites adaptability would be.

1: Insane stats gap from the start...Which...Isn't a factor to an equal stats tournament.

2: Some incalculable, laws of physics, super-meta BS. Like a gag character with toon force or some ability that bends the laws of realty or yada yada. Stuff like that
