I just want to know why SB is so damn allergic to power scaling, especially with scaling Sonic to the potency of the Chaos Emeralds since he's being powered by the damn things and is beating characters with these planet to universal feats by being powered by them.
It's kinda weird though to claim that he isn't getting that much power when if he's winning against said planet to universal characters, then it's fair to say that he's getting power equal to or above that

Going for the controversial takes, its the bad usage of power scaling that probably makes people hate it.
"This guy one time destroyed a planet but this other guy hurt him so he must also be planet level teehee". Without proper knowledge of context this would be bad scaling.
I kinda hate bad power scaling too (haha comics duo) but also just ignoring it is... bad as well.

That's fair in all honesty, I mean quite frankly there's a massive issue with practically most forms of fictional debates not giving context to these feats which is kinda suspicious and could lead to people lying about a character's strength.
But if I may give my take on Sonic power scaling, I think I can safely get away with exclaiming that the scaling of him and Super Sonic is pretty consistent since even the Adventure games, which makes what Smash Bracket says all the more frustrating but to each his own I guess

I think improper scaling is the result of a lack of context, like if you don't explain why A is greater then B and what B did to warrant B's tier then it becomes all the more questionable

i can see Kratos get very nifty Hax as usual in the latest game and maybe something to soldify the nine realm scaling

I see it as pretty much "Iconic" sort of match. Like, slaher genre rivarly, inspiration, that kind of stuff.
Though maybe there's also connections(?). There's probably which makes battle more iconic.

*Both are the half-human sons of legendary figures (Zeus and Sparda) that overthrew the previous hierarchy (Chronos and Mundus).
*Both had to "kill" their brothers.
*Both are well known for their "massive" arsenal of weapons, abilities, items, etc.
*Both had some pretty messed up childhoods (including their mother's getting killed) that affected the kind of person they would eventually become.
*Both are masters at fighting as well as killing supernatural beings ripped straight from real life mythology (gods and demons).
*Both are well known for simply not dying and surviving some pretty crazy stuff (impalement first comes to mind for both of them).
There's probably more but that's all I can think of, right now.

Mainly games, it was idea to find out who wins when Smash fighters fight.
But they started a new series that had Sephiroth beat Bill Cipher, so buckle up.
I think they are doing Asura vs Hulk eventually on that series.

Kratos's mother didn't die but both her and Deimos had been taken away from Kratos (while he was still a boy) due of Zeus fearing the prophecy of the Marked Warrior.
It would be more accurate to say that both had traumatic experience in their childhoods due of their heredity (Kratos be Zeus's son and Dante be Sparda's son).
