Stars of Cinder • RP Thread (ON HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)

Kentoria didn't mind the dark, she'd worked enough in it to note a few things, and even if her sight didn't much work here, her other senses certainly did, and so she walked effectively

Relama moved to the middle of the group, frowning at the notion of using Olorin as bait

"L-like using you as bait on Zodd it might be needed..." Olorin murmured to Elis, not liking it herself but knowing the possibility might arise, while Talandar said nothing, the lights on his person making trying to sneak around quite hard

Brownie walked while concentrated, drills the atmosphere with his nose in search of some surprise that is in the air, such as an invisible entities, air contaminated with some types of chemical that induces an adverse effect, traps or something.

His instincts to the maximum

Charlotte silently moved behind Timcanpy, walking a foot or so behind the golem. Her body still trembled beneath her radiation suit, frustration, anger, and despair combining into a whirlpool of stress as the woman walked.

"...I'm a professional..." Charlotte repeated in her mind. She breathed out quietly, her fingers brushing against Phoebe's Joy within her pocket. Her footsteps were silent, using what stealth she had picked up from years of working in the slums to mask the noise of her movements. Like Brownie, she was concentrating on her senses, her Spatial Awareness extending to cover a large portion of the base as they walked, the geometry of the structure imprinting itself into her mind.

The demon incubi had his extrasensory perception of predicting the future seconds in advance and sensing supernatural energies, as well as his telepathic abilities already in use for any incoming surprises from enemies

The Stars of Cinder would soon come towards a matrix of hallways, with multiple facilities and various cells, akin to the base they had tried to raid last time. It appeared that the geographical structure of the bases weren't all to different, at least from what they saw so far.

Valkiria closed her eyes, knowing there would be blood and not wanting to have any... "issues".

"What the..." Elis looked around and covered her mouth and nose, the smell of dry flesh invading her nostrils. Most of the corpses seemed to have been, to her surprise, drained of their blood completely, their wrists and necks slit open. "Why are they draining their blood...?" She murmured to herself.

Brownie heard Elis's words, it is a cult that worships the use of extreme torture and dark rituals capable of distorting reality, it is clear that they are looking for a benefit, either by bringing something to this world/Universe, enhance their abilities through draining the blood and soul of the tormented or creating an eclipse, well that's what the black beast thought.

Kentoria looked at some of the bodies, examining them... "Adrian... how strong do you think their blood magic is...?" Kentoria quietly asked him while Skarr got in front of Valkiria to assist in covering her eyes cause I forgot he existed lol

Olorin squeezed her eyes shut and put her face as best she could into Elis's shoulder, disturbed to an extreme degree by the sight

"Wouldn't know... Never really fought any Blood Magic users barring Valkiria, personally... And since she originally comes from this sect of the cult... damnit..." Adrian said, turning away from the bodies and grunting. Kirby closed her eyes tightly, clinging to Adrian's neck as she sat on his shoulder in human form.

Elis breathed out, shaking her head as she examined the bodies to find any information she could, keeping her senses keen.

Charlotte looked down at the bodies, her gaze cold, emotionless. She considered their death almost a blessing, in a way, knowing full well that the cultists were capable of inflicting fates worse than death.

"...Save's us the trouble of putting them out of their misery..." Charlotte thought to herself. Slowly, she crouched down, focusing her Spatial Awareness on a few corpses, closely examining the individual particles that made up their bodies.

"We need to be extremely careful..." Kentoria muttered as she took a couple steps back to guard Elis and Olorin while Relama looked away from the bodies as best he could

"They still died, Dean... We shouldn't undermine their deaths... They were innocent..." Elis grumbled, clenching her fists a bit before she breathed out. She expanded her senses a few dozen meters, "Let's... keep moving. See why their draining all this blood."

With that's words said, Brownie walked calmly from time to time looking at a corpse, waiting to see if one of them would rise up and try to attack him so he could vaporize it.

"They still died, Dean... We shouldn't undermine their deaths... They were innocent..." Elis grumbled, clenching her fists a bit before she breathed out. She expanded her senses a few dozen meters, "Let's... keep moving. See why their draining all this blood."
"Young lady Elis...i seen innocents with deaths which makes these ones seem tame in comparison, but i suppose for me it is striking different then it does to you"

Responded while they continued to move

"There are little words in few languages I can utilize to describe how much I don't care, Dean..." Elis grumbled.

As the group moved, they'd come towards a series of hallways, pathways with small viewing windows on the walls that allowed for view into various facilities, or well, torture chambers... Various cultists could be seen with ceremonial dagger in hand, with people, men, women, old, young, being hung by their ankles, their necks and wrists slit open and their blood drained into large containers slowly.

Olorin didn't look, while Kentoria did her best to make herself hidden as she tried to get what information she could as she scowled, while Relama focused on moving forward

"So harsh....."

Murmurs at her reply as he continued walking

Charlotte stared out the window for a brief moment, her hands slowly clenching into fists. They were distracted. It would be all too easy to teleport inside, to bash their skulls open, to paint the ground with their bloody remains as she watched the life fade from their eyes. Her body began to shake, her hand inching towards the window, almost pressing against it. She imagined slamming her fist against a cultist’s face, over, and over and over and over and over, unrelenting until they were as twisted and mangled as they were on the inside. For only a moment…Charlotte considered simply abandoning the mission entirely….

“…….” Charlotte said nothing, before slowly, quietly breathing out.

“…I’m a professional.” She thought. It was the single, grounding thought that kept her sane, the last semblance of her pride. With a shaky breath, she turned away from the window, silently following the group.

"Dont let the thirst for blood get over you"

Says Dean to Charlotte, without turning his head or looking at her to say it, then continued

"It will consume your thoughts without realizing...miss Charlotte"

Valkiria could be seen trembling rather violently, clenching her eyes shut as tightly as possible. "Mm.. H...hn... f-****..." She groaned as she walked, her knees buckling beneath her.

"Keep it together, Val..." Elis said as they moved.

"I... hn... gr... haa... I'll be fine... Just... need to breathe... So much... bl-... Don't say it... Don't say anything..." Valkiria murmured, her nose scrunching up. It was either the smell of blood making her do that, or something was coming...

Valkiria's eyes would suddenly widen as the group came up to a hallway, her trembling and shaking beginning to intensify.

"hide... Hide Hide Hide...!" She heaved out as she trembled, breathing intensifying as it was clear she could barely stand both from the immense amounts of blood in the area, and from fear...

Kentoria immediately looked around, trying to find a hiding spot instantly, while Olorin began clinging to Elis to follow her into a hiding spot, Skarr moved to guide Valkiria into any hiding spot he could find that was good immediately, Talandar was assisted by Relama with a device that turned him invisible and his his lights, so he could hide in front of Elis and Olorin to take any hits

Charlotte, who had been focused on keeping her emotions in check, was suddenly snapped from her thoughts as she heard Valkiria's words. Wordlessly, she sprang into action, pushing herself into a dark corner of the hall, Pheobe's Fist already curling around her arm. She scanned the perimeter, using her Spatial Awareness in an attempt to locate what exactly Valkiria had sensed.
