I think they're making Strange seem like a red herring to make Wanda seem like the real threat but she ends up being a red herring to Strange, who truly is 'the greatest threat to the world,' more than she is. A red herring of a red herring.
After all, while Wanda is the Scarlet Witch—Nexus of Chaos—Strange is the greatest threat to the multiverse.

I really hope that the movie consists of something along the lines of multiverse 'balancers' pursuing Strange and maybe, or the reason being, the darker version of Strange, with Wanda being a red herring.

What purpose would Raimi-verse Venom serve besides being an absolute menace to the Spider-Man of this foreign universe? Green Goblin already did exactly that
