(Ya know up until now I forgot teleportation can be used extremely offensively to pull shit like that lol)

It definitely wasn't over, as Rory's own instincts made her jump forward after he had teleported to avoid her spine and neck being grabbed, on guard for any other feints or attempts at teleportation as she maintained perfect balance even without one of her legs, her footwork being impossible to pull off for most even with two legs.

(Yeah lol. I also love how this spar is giving me the opportunity to pump Rory full of endurance and skill feats lol.)

Imperius didn't seem at all stalled by this, Teleporting again to catch Rory's jump forward with an extremely hard punch while firey orange particles began to hover in the air

Rory would simply sigh as she blocked the punch with her sword, multiple cracks forming on it that she instantly repaired it and delivered another counter-attack, clearly having already been prepared for his teleporting.

Imperius easily maneuvered around the counterattack, his wings connecting with Rory and burning her on contact as Imperius made a move to end the spar, Summoning Solarian in its open form to perfectly, yet tightly, fit Rory's neck into it as he put a speak of his own to touch Rory's throat, simply staring into her eyes and daring her to make a move

Rory was unbothered by the burns, merely raising her sword to block Solarian from grabbing onto her neck as she simply let out a sigh, allowing herself to be forced to the ground. "Alright Alright, I give. You win." She said casually with a shrug.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"Something is bothering you." Imperius said, allowing the heat of his armor to fade and let the cool water rush in around them again

 

[azontr]

"I mean, I'm sorta peeved that I lost, but other than that, not really..." Rory murmured as she slowly got up.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"You should talk with Kiara before we depart, she would understand what you have to say." Imperius said, handing Rory her arm and leg before flying off

 

[azontr]

Rory shrugged, "Thanks." She said, attaching her leg to the stump and connecting it by solidifying them together with ice, doing the same for her arm until they could be properly healed/reattached as she began walking back towards where the rest of the group was.

(Now we wait for Midas lol.)

 

[DaReaperMan]

Rhongomyniad had wandered out onto a path to just sit down, one hand on her forehead as she was muttering something intellible

(Or we can have a character moment while we wait lol)

(Or I can vaporize the tri-state area!)

Rory walked over to Rhongomyniad, waving at her with her healthy arm. "Yo, Rhongo. You good? You seem a bit distressed." Rory asked casually as she sat down next to the Evil of Humanity.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"H-huh?!" Rhongomyniad jolted, not having noticed Rory walk up before breathing out shakily, noticing Rory's injuries immediately and began healing them like clockwork

Due to the limbs already being connected with ice they were much easier to heal, the ice promptly melting as Rory stretched out a bit. "Thanks, Rhongo. Back to what I was saying though... Are you alright?" Rory asked once more.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"...physically yes. Mentally..." Rhongomyniad murmured in response

 

[azontr]

"Yeah, I was obviously referring to your mental state, heh... What's on your mind?" Rory asked.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"... ...I'm cursed..." Rhongomyniad said quietly, clearly entering an episode as she thought about it, her fear obvious

 

[azontr]

"Your... cursed...? Oop, your having an episode-" Rory said, clearly extremely familiar with them as she sighed, patting Rhongomyniad on the back.

"Talk slow, Rhongomyniad. What happened?"

 

[DaReaperMan]

"It's... always... the same fate..." Rhongomyniad said out, clearly still in an episode but coming back from it

"Just..." Rhongomyniad completely paused and breathed out, looking at the ground

 

[azontr]

Rory seemed to be trying to read Rhongomyniad, letting out a sigh. "Well... I'm assuming this fate your talking about is death, right...? Did someone die in your past or whatever...?"

 

[DaReaperMan]

"..." Rhongomyniad just went silent as she opened her mouth, going nearly limp for a bit before speaking quietly

"... too many... all of them... those I even began to care for... those that began to care for me..."

 

[azontr]

"And you think your cursed cause of this...?" Rory said, "Well, I mean, that's definitely understandable but... It doesn't mean your cursed..."

 

[DaReaperMan]

Rhongomyniad was silent, beginning to tear up as she thought about it further, breathing in and out at an erratic pace

 

[azontr]

Rory would bring Rhongomyniad in for a hug, "Alright, I got yah... Ain't nobody here dying anytime soon, Rhongomyniad..." Rory said softly, trying to gently comfort her.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"... thank you..." Rhongomyniad said, deepening her erratic breaths to try and calm down

 

[azontr]

Rory simply nodded, "It's fine, aye. You tried talking to Kinzer? You two seem to be hanging out more."

 

[DaReaperMan]

"I just... wanted to get away for a bit... I'll try talking with him though..." Rhongomyniad said in response while she visibly calmed herself down on the outside

 

[azontr]

Rory nodded, smiling as she broke away from the hug. "Alright. I think I saw him hanging out at the edges of the city, where Lance and Metatron train, I think. He seems to like the seclusion."

 

[DaReaperMan]

"Thank you..." Rhongomyniad murmured in response as she stood up, nodding at Rory before walking off to find the area, clearly having a ton on her mind

 

[azontr]

Kinzer could be seen leaning against a rock in the distance while reading a book, casually weaving runes and magical circles into the air to both train and entertain himself, immediately noticing Rhongomyniad was getting close to him and waving with a light shrug.

 

[DaReaperMan]

Rhongomyniad waved back silently, beginning to tremble again before stopping herself, not really knowing what to say to Kinzer

 

[azontr]

"I'm sensing you probably just had another episode." Kinzer said to her telepathically before slowly getting up, walking over to her so they could speak face to face.

Meanwhile.

David seeing that Imperius and Rory had left to spar, left the area by himself, Masayoshi deciding to linger and watch Cullthane craft his potions, obviously impressed by his skill in the arcane arts.

Slowly, he began looking around for Gabriel, floating around the city in hopes he could find her. He didn’t care if she couldn’t give them any more information. He simply wanted to check if she was alright.

 

[azontr]

Gabriel was aimlessly floating above the city, watching over everything as she covered herself with her wings, visible to anybody who took a moment to just look up. "...."

David slowly floated down next to her, crossing his legs into a sitting position as he looked at her.

"Hey, Gabriel...." David said softly, waving at her.

 

[azontr]

Gabriel uncovered herself a bit, turning to David with an unreadable expression on her face. "...Hi." She said hoarsely.

 

[The_man_with_the_Midas_touch]

David scratched his head, unsure how to interpret her actions. Concern flashed in his eyes, as he began speaking.

"...Hope I ain't bothering ya. I just wanted to check if ya were feeling any better..." David said.

"I'm not." Gabriel said bluntly, covering herself up again. "Everything still hurts..."

David closed his eyes, nodding.

"...I'm sorry Gabriel..." he said quietly.

"...is there anything I can do to help? Maybe...you could...transfer some of your pain onto me somehow..." David offered. vaguely remembering something similar happening in the last Lostbelt.
