Metatron crossed his arms, "Creating artificial angels... No, I've never heard of something like that. Doing something like that should be impossible, but, it seems our enemy can do the impossible as well..." Metatron murmured, rubbing his chin in thought.

"....Are we sure these angels are....artificially created? Is it possible he's simply found some way to corrupt existing ones....?" Lance asked, breathing heavily.

Rory shook her head, "Like I said, we don't know anything about that... Gabriel couldn't give us any more info cause of the pain."

Metatron would let out a sigh, "******* great..."

“I suppose we have more unanswered questions then…” Lance sighed. He looked upward, glancing at Metatron.

“…let us…conclude our training for today, Metatron…I’ll do more next time to compensate…”

Metatron sighed, getting off of Lance. "Fine." He said, floating in the air as he retracted his wings.

"Need me to carry you, Lance?" Kiara asked, looking down at Lance.

Lance tried to get up, managing to stand for a split second before his legs buckled underneath him, Lance falling with a soft thud onto the ground. His arms hung loosely by his side, clearly too exhausted to move him any further for the moment.

"...That would be...much appreciated, my friend..." Lance said, flashing a tired smile at Kiara.

Kiara smiled, picking Lance up like a princess. "Just so yknow, that was a rhetorical question, I was gonna carry you anyway!" Kiara said, snickering devilishly, or at least, she thought she was being mischievous, but her view on that was clearly somewhat childish.

Rory merely snickered, "For now, we should regroup and see if Gabriel can uh... Get some more info..."

Lance chuckled, clearly amused.

"Alright, Kiara...I'm grateful for that, I suppose." He said.

David smiled at the display, before nodding.

"...Let's not push Gabriel too hard. Considering how she looked earlier, she might need more rest..." David said.

Kiara turned to David and Rory with Lance in her arms, "Oh yeah, how bad was she after...? I was training, so... I don't really know how bad getting that info left her off..."

David said nothing for a moment.

"...It was....pretty bad..." David muttered.

"...she was...writhing in agony for a bit...and she...could barely move afterward..." David said quietly, looking away from Kiara.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"And the only one who can truly tell us besides Adam himself is unable to speak about it..." Imperius muttered angrily before speaking clearly

"Gabriel endured it, but I see little reason to put her through more just for scraps of information, useful as they are." Imperius said

Rory would sigh, "I get what you're saying, Imperius... I do... But we need the info... Ugh... So we're going in blind...?"

"I, for one, care not much for the Archangel's well-being, but Imperius is right that potentially risking her life for mere scraps of info is... unnecessary," Metatron said.

David nodded, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Yeah...I'd...rather go in blind than subject Gabriel to something like that again..." David said, scratching his head.

"..let's just...go off the information we already have for now...alright?"

"Which obviously isn't a lot, is it?" Metatron said as he sighed, "Do we even have a location...?"

 

[DaReaperMan]

"Not yet... let's find Cullthane, no doubt sulking in a corner somewhere writing a book." Imperius said

Metatron would heave another sigh, "Yes, we should... I assume we'll be facing some sort of magic he'll need to inform us about?"

Rory nodded, "Yeah... Some sort of dark or corruption magic."

"...I wish I could help...but dark magic isn't exactly my area of expertise" Masayoshi sighed.

"...bet ol' Eonara would have been useful if she was around...she's one of those dark magic mages..." David muttered, shaking his head.

"..Let's go find Cullthane..."

Kiara nodded, wincing a bit. She sighed, turning to Rory. "You alright...?"

"I'm just worried, that's all... Yeah, let's go find Cullthane..." Rory responded, simply sighing.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"There's little time to waste, out of everyone here, Metatron, you know Cullthane the best, where would he "hang out"?" Imperius asked Metatron

Kiara nodded, wincing a bit. She sighed, turning to Rory. "You alright...?"

"I'm just worried, that's all... Yeah, let's go find Cullthane..." Rory responded, simply sighing.

Metatron rubbed his chin, "Most likely somewhere quiet or somewhere with reading material. Or both. If not those sorts of places, he's probably keeping watch over the Archangel..."

 

[DaReaperMan]

"Then he's likely in the library section of the castle, as that seems like somewhere that'd be quiet enough for reading, otherwise we could check the area around Gabriel and Terevion." Imperius said, his usual tone returning to him

Kiara and Rory nodded simultaneously as Kiara looked down at Lance, "Can you walk?" Kiara asked.

"We'll check the library, then.." Metatron said.

"...I think I've rested enough to walk for a bit." Lance nodded, slowly getting out of Kiara's arms. He staggered, nearly falling again as his knees buckled, before slowly regaining his footing.

David nodded at Metatrons words, walking towards Lance to help stabilize him for a few moments as he regained his footing.

Imperius just led the way to the library, only really glancing at Lance to make sure he could walk before eventually arriving at the castle and bee-lining towards the library, where Way up in the opposite corner of where the entrance was a crystal formation signified where Cullthane was

Kiara and Rory nodded simultaneously as Kiara looked down at Lance, "Can you walk?" Kiara asked.

"We'll check the library, then.." Metatron said.

"...I think I've rested enough to walk for a bit." Lance nodded, slowly getting out of Kiara's arms. He staggered, nearly falling again as his knees buckled, before slowly regaining his footing.

David nodded at Metatrons words, walking towards Lance to help stabilize him for a few moments as he regained his footing.

Kiara and Metatron moved ahead of the group, "Cullthane, we need to talk." Metatron said as he walked towards the area where Cullthane was to face his brother.

 

[DaReaperMan]

The Formation faded as Cullthane floated down to the ground and stood

"I believe I already know what you want to talk about, but you should tell me anyway." Cullthane said

"Yeah yeah, we're facing dark magic and or corruption magic if we somehow find the location of this Adam. I'm sure you're already aware of the Archangel's supposed near-death experience trying to get that info." Metatron said sternly.

 

[DaReaperMan]

"I am not. Regardless Adam's magic is actually not all that high on the food chain, is it powerful? Apsolutely. But if used on say, you or that dragon it wouldn't be effective at all, however, it's most effective if used on those without divinity, this includes your contractor and the girl standing next to you. And as Gabriel and the Evil of Humanity possess moderate amounts of divinity, it could effect them but it'd be difficult." Cullthane explained, pulling his gaze to look at each individual who was present as he spoke of them

David sighed.

“This…corruption. Do ya know how it works? Like…how does it affect the body when ya exposed to it?” David asked.

Metatron sighed at Cullthane and David, "We know that it can make the body do things against its will like it did with Artorias... It can also mutate the body violently like it did when it made Sif grow in size as well, and so far, that's all we know.."

 

[DaReaperMan]

"What Metatron said. It can spread with further use of said magic or just passively as it attacks and infects further individuals, a powerful enough light magic user can purify this in the early stages however, this would include both myself and that Evil of Humanity." Cullthane responded

David scratched his chin, thinking for a moment.

“I...have pretty good control over my body. And can freely mutate and alter my own biology. Do you think that would allow me to resist the effects of the corruption somewhat if I came in contact with it?” David asked.

"We could test that theory if we got a sample of it and used it on you..." Metatron murmured.

"How about no?" Kiara said bluntly, crossing her arms.

David scratched his head.

“I’m tempted. I do want to test how my body does against somethin’ like this…” David said, shrugging a bit.

“But…Kiara’s right, that’s probably too risky…”

"It is both a natural and supernatural affliction, you may be able to work the natural part out but the supernatural would remain." Cullthane informed

"Regardless, I have my own preparations to commence, I'll be playing "support" for most of this." Cullthane said, turning and opening an air pocket to begin making a potion, herbs so ancient that nobody but Metatron would possibly recognize them being perfectly made into potions at a quick pace while Imperius turned to Rory

"We could test that theory if we got a sample of it and used it on you..." Metatron murmured.

"How about no?" Kiara said bluntly, crossing her arms.

David scratched his head.

“I’m tempted. I do want to test how my body does against somethin’ like this…” David said, shrugging a bit.
