Ragnarök-RP Thread

"But this is of most particular interest to you, listen." Cullthane said, poking the crystal which played Metatron's agonizingly long and drawn out sorry(the full thing lol)

"I think this will be useful." Cullthane said, his voice was more reminiscent of the old Cullthane, friendly, serious, and joking all at the same time

"Well, I feel myself being drawn to some place, but I can stay around for as long as I please. Probably worth investigating, but the situation of the cracks still must be solved..." Cullthane said, pausing for a moment and tilting his head to one side

"By the way, who is Belial? the demon I knew that bore that name is long dead." Cullthane said

"Type:Belial?" Metatron said, "Well, I think it's just Belial. From what I have gathered, he was a calamity born from the dread of a dead human taking the form of a child. He had some authority over demon-kind, as well." Metatron said.

"Also, I believe the Apoptosis, Rory the 6th, named him Belial for some unknown reason..."

"True. He also has something to do with that accursed graveyard Ulric... Supposedly he's its ruler. Then again, I haven't been to the place in ages and considering nobody would be able to climb the damn thing in this age, it's preposterous to think he rules it." Metatron said, shrugging.

"Hm. It wasn't designed to be ruled, though..." Metatron said, "Hah. I guess he really did climb the unclimbable after all. Amusing. I think I want to meet him again after he went completely awol." Metatron said, "But since he's currently getting his shit kicked in by The Ultimate Evil... I don't believe our chance will come anytime soon."

"She's already reached a level of smug previously that unreachable, please don't give her more grounds to **** with me..." Metatron said, sighing.

"Done with the brotherly bonding, you two?" Antares said, telepathically speaking to them both.

"Yeah, I think we're just about done... Speak, Child of Jormungandr." Metatron responded.

"We've got a big problem. Or well, at least a problem of concern that I think you two should know about. Head to my location." He said.

"Of course you do," Antares said as Cullthane teleported over to him. "What's this about, Antares?" Metatron asked.

"First, I'll call the others. Then I'll explain in the best detail possible." Antares said as Kiara teleported behind him. "Boo!"

"Kiara, stop being immature. This is serious. Besides, we all knew you were there before you even got here." Antares said, sighing.

"I know I know. I just wanted to lighten the mood! Things have been kinda glum ever since Gabriel nearly vaporized David..." Kiara said.

David walked into one of the nearby cabins, collapsing onto one of the beds, deep in thought.

“that was poorly timed, wasn’t it?” David realized

“Gabriel was already stressed by the shit that happened with Diablo. And I haven’t been around nearly long enough to convince her I’ve become any better as a person…especially since she already hates my guts…” David thought.

“I shouldn't have done that. Should’ve waited…or never talked to her at all…” David muttered, cursing his own stupidity and insensitivity towards Gabriel’s situation.

David shook his head. He suddenly felt…tired. The events with Diablo and the group, on top of the years he spent training without rest, suddenly catching up to him.

“…maybe…I should have just went with Fafnir…” David muttered

He closed his eyes. Drifting into a light sleep.
(Look alive Midas!)

(Oh lol)

David groggily rolled out of bed, hearing Antares's call. the light sleep he had failed to make him feel any less tired, nor did it lighten his mood.

He opened a portal, before stepping through it, silently standing a few feet away from the others, looking at the ground.

Lance teleported to the group, appearing in a puff of smoke.

"What's going on?" Lance asked.

"I honestly don't know what I'm seeing here..." Antares produced the hologram structure of the multiverse he did before, but this time, there was an enormous fracture in it.

"In any case, that shouldn't be there. It's weird... No normal cracks in time and space should happen at such a scale, even if due to Kill-Gaia and Belial's fight. Could Dante be interfering? No, he doesn't have the power to create something like this..." Antares muttered to himself, beginning to trail off.

"Basically, it is similar to the Copy of Egypt where David killed all those people. A failed version of history formed into an alternate dimension, per se. A complete branch off from the Greater History of Man, or even existence itself, that shouldn't exist, just like that Egypt you went to. We'll call it a Lostbelt, for now." Fafnir said.

"For what reason would I be interested...?" Gabriel asked, slowly floating over to the group.

"In any case, this is the only one that we have on our radar and I don't believe it involves Gabriel as of now. How it came to be, though, and how much more dangerous it'll get, we don't know." Antares said, the hologram structure disappearing.

"David, if you wish to bail on this mission, feel free to do so." Antares said, "You should try to avoid being a workaholic like me or Kiara."

"Hey! ...I'm not a workaholic..." Kiara muttered.

"Yeah, you kind of are, dear." Rory said, walking up to the group.

David rubbed his eyes with his hands. He opened a portal, and began to step through it, before stopping himself.

"...no....no" David muttered.

"...It would be selfish of me to sit another mission out. Especially if it's important....I'll......" David trailed off.

"...I'll be careful" David finished, gazing at the ground.

Lance spoke up.

"Are these...Lostbelts...in any way related to the Singularities you guys refer to sometimes? those also involve altered points in history, do they not?" Lance asked.

"The singularities? Yes, they are similar, in a way..." Antares said, rubbing his chin as if he was pondering something.

Lance glanced at him

"Something the matter, Antares?" Lance asked,
"Nothing the matter, per se. But this... Lostbelt, as we'll call it, is suspicious to me. How it came to this size isn't something that should be possible without outside interference, but whose interference, I know not. It most certainly wasn't Kill-Gaia or Belial, so who..." Antares said.

Lance thought for a moment, before speaking.

"It wasn't Diablo, was it? He was quite the powerful demon, perhaps he had a hand in this" Lance asked.

"David... Calm down. The last thing we need is for you to be a ball of nerves going into a mission this important. Breathe..." Masayoshi said to him before turning to Cullthane, "Could you help me out with something? I think I might be able to see what caused it, but I'm going to need to get to a place where I could actually perceive those events, as I have very little experience finding spatio-temporal anomalies. That's what I call lostbelts, by the way. That term makes me think the Dream World can't keep its pants up...."

"Alright then. Masayoshi, I'll be assigning you to the scouting team for this mission with Da Vinci." Antares said.

"Da Vinci? Leonardo Da Vinci...?" Rory asked.

"Yeah. Time Travel is a bitch." Antares said, "This version of Leonardo Da Vinci is actually a specialist in these types of anomalies, and also magic. We'll need her help for this."

"Her....???!" Rory asked.

"Yes." Antares said bluntly.

"You guys are right... Time Travel really is a bitch." Rory said.

"Y-your right..." David muttered.

"I...I know your right..." David repeated, he breathed in, and breathed out, his whole body shaking.

"...I...I just need to...calm down a bit..." David said. he leaned against a nearby wall, nearly collapsing, breathing heavily. images of the desert continuing to flash into his mind.

"...good luck on your...scouting mission honey..." David said, flashing her a shaky smile.
