Ragnarök-RP Thread

Zonolo walked, suddenly stopping as he detected someone's presence by him. He turned around, giving an apathetic look on his face toward his pursuer.

"Did one of those freaks put you up to following me?" He asked them. The hooded individual revealed their hand, gripping a handle of some sort.

"I know not of the 'freaks' of which you speak... But I seek strength and vengeance... I can sense the power hidden inside of you, and the power of another that approaches... Only when I have attained enough strength shall I be able to achieve vengeance!"

Something was different about this individual. It wasn't like Kiara or Belial or any of the other individuals that he had encountered thus far. It felt like strength was exuding off the individual. He knew that if he could hardly keep up with Kiara, he definitely wouldn't be able to keep up with this opponent. He would need a massive increase in his power to even remotely keep up.

A yellowish aura enveloped Zonolo's body as tattoos began to form around him. A steam emanated from his body as he looked toward the pursuer.

Fire_Force_Season_2_Episode_09_Figure_05.jpg

"Strength, huh?" Zonolo said, "This should be enough, if that's what you're looking for..."

The hooded figure looked up, revealing an oni mask, and swung the handle to reveal a kanabo. This individual had the same weapon as the Goddess of Power, though it clearly was not her. The complexion of the arm was lighter, and the arm was skinnier. Even if Zonolo knew who Val was, he would have known it wasn't her. The hooded figure rushed toward Zonolo, and Zonolo did the same, launching a punch that went straight through the hooded figure.

(This is the music I envision for this fight.)

Or so he thought. The only thing his fist went through was the hood itself, incinerating it in the process. His foe was right behind him, revealing a kimono and white and blue hair. Swinging the kanabo, Zonolo's adversary launched an attack imbued with black and reddish lightning toward his face, sending him flying miles away. Naturally, Zonolo got up shortly afterwards, flinging himself back toward his opponent and launching a barrage of punches, to which his foe responded with their own.

"Are you playing games with me? Why are you hiding the strength I want you to unleash?" The person asked angrily.

"You want a stronger opponent? Fine! Your funeral!"

Zonolo lept off the foe's kanabo and went into the air. His fists ignited as he created a massive ball of flaming energy hurling it toward his enemy at full strength. The eyes of his opponent began to glow through their mask, dissipating the ball before it could even singe a single hair.

One-Piece-Yamato.jpg

"Is that all? I need more!" The individual said. In boredom, the adversary yawned, creating mass amounts of desolation, and a terrifying noise and chilling sensation that could be felt and heard throughout the Dream World.

Zonolo lifted rubble off him, still not appearing to be damaged, but also unsure of how to win. The foe swung their kanabo again, creating another burst of red and black lightning that launched toward Zonolo. The dreamer raised his arms to block the strike so he wouldn't be blown backward. Struggling against the lightning, he managed to deflect it into the space beyond. As he finishes the motion involved for this, the oni appeared in front of him, bringing down the kanabo. However, Zonolo was fast enough to react to it now, catching it between his hands. He smirked, looking toward his foe.

"Is this more to your liking?" He asked his opponent. After this question, the oni swiftly let go of the kanabo, rotating backward and kicking the handle up. The kanabo shot up out of his hands, and the oni sprung up on their hands, propelling into the air to launch a downward axe kick toward Zonolo. He sidestepped the kick, but the oni had caught the kanabo, swinging it at him and launching him into the air. Leaping upward, the oni prepared to engage in aerial combat, swinging the kanabo in a flurry of blows, Zonolo responded by igniting his arms to to block the kanabo, along with any area of his body that would be hit when he couldn't block the hits. The plan was to melt the kanabo, but that didn't appear to be working. Eventually, Zonolo began taking more hits, even though that wasn't much of a sacrifice or detriment to him due to the nature of his abilities. He started only blocking with his left hand, pointing his right hand at the ground below and firing a bunch of flames. The flames dug into the ground, carrying pieces of earth and merging it into an island of sorts. The flames lifted the island at high speeds, slamming into the oni as Zonolo dropped down and let gravity take him from there.

(For reference of the island lifting.)

As Zonolo fell, he used the flames to compact the island around his foe to incapacitate them, using his flames to seal it and keep the oni trapped. He smirked at the idea.

7482256-0049963089-VVpNc.png

However, that was until the oni broke out near immediately afterwards, diving down toward Zonolo. The dreamer shot up toward the oni, attempting to throw a punch to the face. His strike was evaded, and the oni attempted to capitalize by launching a punch of its own. However, Zonolo caught it, dragging its arm toward him and attacking with a headbutt. After the strike, he grips the oni's arm with both hands, spinning and throwing his foe higher into the air, where the rubble from his makeshift seal had shattered. Zonolo then appeared above the oni as it turned around to see him ignite his fist and launch a powerful punch to send the oni reeling down to the earth below. The punch should have definitely incinerated some of the oni.

"That's more like it!" The oni spoke, the mask now crumbling and the kimono burning away. It revealed his foe's hair was not blue, but white, with aqua green tips at the end. The glowing red eyes were actually orange. The individual also possessed gold hoop earrings on both ears and horns, much like the Goddess of Power, though her horns were red in color instead of white. Underneath the now incinerated robe were a pair of red hakama pants and sandals, and a large purple and white nio-daisuki behind the back.

"You're doing better, but you're still not where I want you to further my growth...." The woman said, "You're nowhere near it..."

(The music I pictured for this portion of the fight scene.)

"Unfazed? OK...." Zonolo said to himself. He made this state to keep up with and be able to do something against this foe. And he didn't deal a hint of damage at all... He began to get frustrated, partially because he was trying to take this person out. He didn't have time to deal with a stalker who wanted to keep fighting him all the time. Even if he wouldn't take damage, it would still be annoying, and would distract him from trying to get back home... His eyes flickered from glowing all yellow to silver.

"There it is... I can tell that power's about to come out... So show me!" She shouted.

Zonolo ignited his left arm, which flickered back and forth from yellow to white. Holding out his arm, he sent pillars of flames to drag his foe to another planet, flying toward where she would end up. He would then wave his ignited arm, using the flames to drag her across the surface of the planet while causing parts of the planet to combust and explode to damage her.

Diving down toward his opponent, Zonolo created a ball of flaming energy in each hand, his tattoos still flickering in color from yellow to white. The spheres of energy turned white hot, and he launched a barrage of them toward his foe. However, the woman was rushing toward him, swatting away several of the balls.

"She got even faster and stronger?!" Zonolo thought, right before getting swatted by her kanabo and crashing down on the planet's surface.

The woman smiled, diving down as she infused her kanabo with her black and red lightning, swinging her kanabo toward his face, creating another wave of impact with greater impact than the yawn she gave that could be felt across the Dream World.

When the dust settled, the waters resided, and the smoke cleared, it wasn't the Zonolo she had faced before, but the one in the state that had been used in an attempt to skewer Kiara earlier. The kanabo didn't even budge his head when he was it with it. He rotated his head, a mask appearing over his face as the woman grinned.

"There it is, that's the power I was looking for!" She said excitedly.

The masked Zonolo drew one of his blades, clashing with the kanabo as the oni swung again. This time, as barrages of swings were exchanged, the dreamer wasn't on the backfoot. As a matter of fact, he was applying more and more offensive pressure to his opponent, forcing her to grow and evolve to contend with him. This was exactly what the woman wanted. She swung her kanabo once more, which Zonolo blocked effortlessly, parrying the strike with a light hand flick. As the woman was off-balance, she lept backwards, performing a back handspring before flinging herself at Zonolo once more. Blade in his other hand, Zonolo slashed the woman, sending her flying backwards. His foe got up, albeit with an egregious slash wound. However, the wound began to heal relatively quickly. Faster and stronger than before, she rushed back toward Zonolo.

Blows and slashes continued to be exchanged, but the advantage was held throughout the fight by the one who couldn't take damage. Eventually, Zonolo parried her strike again, taking immediate advantage of this by pinning her to the ground.

"Enough of this..." Zonolo said, a much deeper voice present than his usual one, "Who are you?"

"I have often been called Fenrir by the one I seek to get my revenge on, and Surtur by those in her domain," She said, "However, seeing as you are one of the only other individuals to best me, I shall give you the privilege of giving me a new name..."

"I don't care about renaming you. Who are you out to kill?"

"Valdagyðja, the Goddess of Power," She answered, "I am her Summoning Dream..."

"Summoning Dream?"

"Dreamers like yourself have the abilities to create allies and weapons to aid you in battle known as Summoning Dreams. I was the Summoning Dream of the Goddess of Power herself. I thought that power of yours was initially a Summoning Dream as well, but it doesn't appear to be..." She responded, giving a little chuckle, "I don't even think you know what it is..."

"That's what I was trying to figure out before you came along..."

"And our fight helped you draw it out. I'd say you would owe me for bringing you a step closer to understanding it... And I'd consider clearing your debt to me if you help me kill Valdagyðja..."

Zonolo unhanded 'Fenrir', reverting to his normal state. He also manifested a new shirt for himself as the one he had was burnt to a crisp earlier in the fight.

"I guess I could help you train. Strengthening my abilities could also help me get back to my family...." He said.

"Then it's settled. When we are ready, we will siege Valhalla and defeat Valdagyðja..."

Meanwhile, they were being watched from a distance...

"So resolute and clear on their purposes and motivations...." Mira said, referring to the two, "Perhaps I could learn from them about what my purpose should be...."

In Valhalla, as she trained, a yawn was heard. Valdagyðja smiled, knowing that a rematch with an old rival was coming.

"I'll be waiting for you... Fenrir..." The Goddess of Power thought to herself.
Piles of calamity corpses were scattered throughout various planets. Atop the largest mounds present on a planet many galaxies away were none other than Zonolo and his new ally. The latter laughed at the defeated foes.

"Pathetic! They weren't even worth being a workout!" She exclaimed as Zonolo sat silently, deep in thought, "Eh? What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing, just thinking about... people I wanna see again, that's all..." He answered, snapping back into reality, or at least, the reality of the Dream World, "So, tell me more about Summoning Dreams..."

"I'll tell you about as much as I know... Summoning Dreams like myself are made up of energy in the Dream World, taking form only due to contracts with Dreamers. Breaching that contract means that the Summoning Dream returns to energy until another contract is made..."

"Wouldn't betraying your Dreamer breach that contract?"

"Unless the contract allows for it..."

"So what was your contract with Valdy... Valda-"

"Valdagyðja. My contract with her was to fight by her side and to be her sparring partner."

"So, you technically breached the contract by turning on her, didn't you?"

"Ay, I did. Fortunately, I made a contract with another, allowing me the freedom to exact my revenge on her..."

"And how would someone go about getting a Summoning Dream?"

"I dunno. It's different from person to person. You have to figure that out."

Zonolo thought about that for a second. Why not just try making a Summoning Dream? It'd be worth a shot. He just thought of one of the coolest looking characters he could think of at the moment, and used that as the base for it. Suddenly, a beam of light descended from the sky, as a bluish figured landed on the planet, reducing the calamities to ashes. He stood up, his singular eye gazing down at Zonolo.

maxresdefault.jpg

"So, you want a Summoning Dream?" He spoke, his fearsome and bursting aura still raging, "What are your terms?"

"I just want a Summoning Dream."

"This has got to be a game of some sorts. That's it? That's your only request?"

"Pretty much, I'm not going to force you to stick around against your will like some slave. If you want to be my Summoning Dream, be my guest. If you don't, there are plenty of other Summoning Dreams I could ask, aren't there?"

"I suppose I owe you some gratitude for taking me out of my limbo and giving me a physical body... I suppose I'll oblige as your Summoning Dream. For now. And your name is?"

"Zonolo. What's yours?"

"It is one I don't believe you can comprehend, so I will grant you the honor of bestowing me with a new name..."

"The Dominator of the Universe, Lord Boros."

"Boros... Lord Boros.... And a fitting epithet as well for someone of my power..."

"Well, the contract's terms have been set, Boros. I think."

"Very well... Zonolo...."

"Well, this was a lucky turn of events..." Zonolo thought to himself, turning toward his other ally, "Yamato."

"Huh?" She answered.

"You said I should give you a new name, so I decided to name you Yamato..."

"Yamato, huh? Has a nice ring to it! I like it!"

"Glad you like it," He answered, turning to Boros, "Boros, we're getting ready to go to another planet for more training. Join us."

"I suppose I could warm up... It's been ages since I've had a body!" Boros said.

And with that, the three headed to another galaxy in the Dream World, intending to kill more calamities as light training before sparring with one another and individual training.

“Emerald City?” King Tiger asked.

“I think I heard of that place…or at least I’ve heard tales of it. Why do you want to go?”
"..Follow me." Belial said as he walked with King Tiger to Kiara's room, who's condition was slowly getting worse. "Ah.. Ha.. B- Bel.." Her speech was interrupted by her incessant coughing... "Don't talk." He said, to which she obliged before attempting to continue.

"Wh..--Y. Do- you.. look s-..so sad..?" She said, noticing the emptiness in Belial's eyes. "...I'm fine." Belial turned to King Tiger, "If not to find my mother, I want to help Kiara with what's troubling her. Normal medicine doesn't work, and I can't cure her with my abilities either."

"Yeah.." Kiara continued to cough as Belial picked her up, princess carry style. "W-wait.. You might get sick.." She said to him. "Don't worry about that for now," Belial said. "I did some research into it while you guys were in Shinjuku... We'll need to go by boat." Belial said before creating a portal.

(Dude these ******* ads can suck my dick.)

Kiara smiled, still sweating and coughing. "Thank you.." She said as Belial walked through the portal, holding her. The place that stood behind the portal was a large port city, mostly made of wood and permeated with the smell of aquatic life.

"Ugh, it smells like fish..." Belial said, pinching his nose. Kiara chuckled, "Wh- whaaaat...? You don't like fi- fis-" Belial flicked her on the forehead, "I keep telling you to quit talking, it aggravates your condition." He said.

"Condition!? You landlubbers are planning to bring a sick chick onto a boat!?" A woman yelled out to them, jumping down from one of the buildings and landing in front of the group.

"Ain't got no meds on the boats in this port." She said to which Belial responded, "The place we want to go does have them, though.."

“Well that’s where we need to go” King Tiger said, crossing his arms.

“so unless you know a short cut or somethin, we have to take the risk. We can’t just leave her to die”
"Haha! Risk-takers I see." She said, laughing out loud. "Tha' name's Drake, sonny. You want yer friend to last the trip? I know me a doctor 'round these parts. They'll provide some meds to keep your lassy friend goin' for the trip." Belial tilted his head.

"And, that's it..? No price?" Drake shrugged, "Well, maybe so, maybe not, I don't decide nothin' boyo. I'll lead the way for yah."

Belial continued to carry Kiara as they followed Drake to wherever she was leading. The city itself was quite busy.

"That's good! Just a bit more!" Yelled a project manager

Heavy construction work was going on, which included repairing multiple buildings, draining water from them, etc.

"What happened here?" Belial asked Drake. "Sea Monster attack. Happens frequently. The plagues that keep plowing through the bowels of the city also don't help." She answered.

They walked through the city until they came up to an alleyway. "Should be down here!" Drake yelled out. But Belial noticed something going down in the alley..

"Please, I just need more time! I'll have the money!" Pleaded the woman. The man clenched his fists.

"If I could give you more time I would... But you've come up short.. You ain't the only one of us affected by the plagues!" The man yelled as he kicked the pleading woman in the stomach, causing her to gag.

"This vaccine ain't cheap... I can't keep giving it away for free. These are trying times. Sell yourself out or whatever, just have my money!" The man yelled.

"What's going on?" Belial asked as Drake crossed her arms. "It's as he said, these are trying times, boyo. Plagues are ailing us, similar to the one that affected yer dear lassy there." Drake responded.

"So... This is what they have to do to survive?" Belial asked, and Drake nodded. "That's humanity for yah." She said.

“This is…awful” King Tiger said, taken aback at the sight before him. He walked over to the man who had kicked the women.

“how much does that vaccine cost? I’ll pay it for her” King Tiger said, anger in his voice. he was retraining himself from punching the man in the face, after what he saw.

he created a portal nearby and dropped a large stack of coins in front of the man.

"Huh, you know her or something!?" He said before he saw the enormous stack of coins, chuckling. "You serious...? No funny business...?" The man asked, completely prepared to attempt to stab David.

The man smiled, nodding immediately. "Yeah, we've got a deal.." The man said before picking up as many coins as he could, running away..

"You little shit!" Drake yelled, swiftly pulling out a flintlock pistol and blowing out both his kneecaps.

"****! Agh, Drake you BITCH!" Drake chuckled. "You're a greedy little land lubber." The man yelled out.

"**** off! You think I'm gonna just sit around while money is plopped in front of me!? I've got a family too, I've got priorities!"

King Tiger walked forward, and crouched down to the man.

“Give the women her vaccine. If you do that, I can heal your injuries. I can even throw in some extra money for your family.” King Tiger said. Anger was still in his voice, but the mention of family brought him some degree of sympathy.

Drake simply shot him in the head, killing him instantly and painlessly. "Was that really necessary...?" Kiara said, attempting to talk.

"Kiara, quit it with the talking.." Drake chuckled a bit. "People like him can't be reasoned with. I could see it, he was gonna try and run away again." Drake rummaged through his pockets, giving the woman her vaccine.

"Bless you, Drake..!" The woman smiled before running off. Belial stared at the man's corpse. "Are you sure you made the right call...?"

"I'm a local government official in this here town! I'll help his family." She said.

"Yeah, yeah. You wanted to help yer lass friend there, right?" She said, referring to Kiara. "Then keep yer mouth shut, ay?" Belial looked at her.

"Fine... It isn't like we knew him anyway." He said as he went back to staring at his corpse. "You aren't a very good person, are you Drake?" Belial said. She chuckled.

"Not really." Drake then continued walking, issuing for them to continue following her.

Belial stared forward blankly as they followed Drake. He then posed her a question, "Why did you kill that man?" She turned to Belial as he continued. "There were plenty of other ways to defuse the situation. Why did you kill him?" Drake looked at him with a sad look in her eyes.

"You've lost a lot, haven't you boy?"

Belial's eyes remained empty and stagnant, "Answer the question." He demanded. Drake responded, "What do you think is evil, boy?" Belial answered immediately. "I don't really know anymore.." Drake continued, crossing her arms.

"He kicked a pleading woman in the stomach and then attempted to run away with the vaccine she needed. Is that not evil?" Belial responded, "...He was trying to help his family." Drake responded, nodding in agreement. "True. So, is he really evil then? He could've murdered or stolen to protect his family, but he has a family, so he isn't evil, right?" Belial's eyes widened.

"What are you trying to say..?" Drake laughed a bit, "You're an interesting kid, I'll give yah that much, haha! But honestly, any answer I give yah won't be the right one." Their journey ended at a wooden door. "Call me crazy for killing that guy, but in the end, evil doesn't exist, boyo. The person your looking for is in here."

“Evil does exist.” King Tiger said, coldly. He remembered his encounter in the singularity with the Phantom. How the man has created his machine army at the cost of eternally torture the people within them. He remembered Kill-Gaia, and everything he’s done to him and the dream world. He remembered Rory the 7th, how she had slaughtered trillions of people, including women and children.

“I’ve seen evil men. Ive seen what they can do when left unchecked. That man was a piece of shit, but he wasn’t evil. He didn’t need to die.” King Tiger said. He walked towards the door. He knocked once, and waited.

"Good for you," Drake said as Belial's eyes remained widened as he pondered what he was told. He probably was in no condition to be lectured about morality or good and evil. The door slowly opened.

"Nightingale, we've got some visitors!" Drake then tilted her head to dodge an incoming knife that flew out the door and scratched King Tiger's cheek, causing him to bleed.

"I do believe I told you to call me Head Nurse, pirate. What do you want?"

7499282d5738c0666cc418748fb82689.png

"You know exactly what I want, 'Head Nurse'," Drake said, smiling at her. "More vaccine..? Drake, I have no idea how many times I need to tell you this, but I cannot just pull medicine out of my ass and hand it over." Nightingale then turned to King Tiger and Belial. "Who are they?"

"It's the people who I need the medicine for. Their friend is sick." Belial nodded, snapping himself out of his trance. "Y-yes..! We need some medicine to help my friend make it to Emerald City." He said, referring to Kiara. "D-D- o..n't mind me..!" Belial sighed.

"Kiara, stop talking."

King Tiger wiped the blood from his cheek, unconcerned with the injury.

“guess everyone here is ******* insane” he thought to himself. He looked at the women, and spoke.

“kids right. The trip is long and our friend is gravely ill. We’ll need enough medicine to last her until we get to the city. We’ll pay any price you ask”. King Tiger said.

"You sound like the last 300 people this week..." Head Nurse sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose in frustration as they noticed the various bags under her eyes. "First, all of your money to fund the expedition team." Belial tilted his head.

"Expedition..? What do you mean?" Head Nurse responded swiftly, "The medicine I'm manufacturing requires nectar from a rare flower... It doesn't grow in the land, but underwater." Head Nurse walked over to Belial, "The girl. Hand her over. I'll take care of her." Belial nodded, gently lifting Kiara and plopping her into Head Nurse's arms.

"Once I've got the money, you'll need suits. The water that surrounds the flower negates most forms of underwater breathing, so not even normal fish can swim around there." Belial lightly tapped the wooden ground with his foot. "This port... It's just a wooden island, isn't it?" Drake nodded.

"Yep! Ain't got no land 'round these parts, just a big fat slap O' ocean til' yah hit Emerald City."

“Consider it done” King Tiger said. He opened a portal and, reaching both hands in, took out a gigantic sack of coins, larger than King Tiger himself. It was all the money Horus had given him a while back. He dropped it heavily on the ground in front of her.

“I hope this is enough to cover the expedition and suit cost.” King Tiger said

"Good enough." Head Nurse easily dragged the bag of money into a pile full of bags of money, although most of them were smaller than the one that King Tiger provided. "Don't expect to be able to do much in there without starting a planet-wide earthquake, it's unstable down there." Head Nurse warned them.

Belial shrugged, "I already couldn't use my primary abilities in small spaces, so this is fine."
