Halo General Revision Thread.

Railgun rounds move at such tremendous speed that it is enveloped by plasma while in flight. How fast would this make them?

Also im going to be splitting up the Prometheans (Halo) page into their separate classes as having them all on the same pages is the equivalent of putting every race of the covenant on one page

@Weekly

I was tought about that a long time ago but my lazyness won me over, also should Mythic Knights scale to Warden?

That scene looks extremely difficult to calc; especially since the screen was scrolling. However, I'm pretty sure Sticky grenades are 9-A since it's stated to being able to vaporize targets; which is 300 Megajoules at least. Also consistent with the damage it does to Spartans. But we really shouldn't use game mechanics for weapons that chip damage shields for those shields to scale to those weaker weapons; that's reverse power scaling.

The Lightrifle being 9-A seems legit, but the Suppressor is actually the weakest Forerunner weapon. It gives even less damage than the Assault Rifle, but makes up with it for its 900 rounds per minute. Pretty sure giving less damage than Assault Rifle is just game mechanics, but at the same time, I think it's actually weaker than the Bolt Shot. Speaking of Boltshot, I do vaguely recall it disintegrating small targets. Disintegrate doesn't always mean vaporization or ionization, but if it is, it might be above Wall level, but no higher than 9-A. Suppressor on the other hand, I don't think is any higher than 9-B.

As for speed of a Railgun, that I'm not sure. I don't know how fast handheld Railguns are, heard something about 1500 m/s. Tank Railguns generally range from 2000 to 3500 m/s so I hear, but that refers more to the time of rail gun that's equipped to tanks, planes, or fortes; not the ones carried by people.

Also, I can agree on splitting up the Prometheans page. But I do not think the Knight Bannerman should scale from Warden Eternal. Edit: I need to get some sleep, so I'll be here tomorrow, and even more time after the work shift.

I know this is kind of a pet peeve but the weapon and promethean names are just wrong, I get those are their actual names and names like Railgun are nicknames but I feel they should be how they call them in-game since those names are far more popular and easy to write/understand, with promethean I would prefer if they are called something like: Crawlers (Halo), Knights (Halo), Watchers (Halo), etc... since those are also more recognizable names.

Putting it that way sounds to non-specific though; I prefer putting Promethean before those Crawler, Soldier, Knight names. Also, we don't want to always put the (Name of Franchise) part unless they're simply known by a common name; wouldn't hurt though. But I still prefer Promethean being placed before those names.

I mean, Prometheans are fine but I would seriously prefer that we change the weapon names, they are very specific and only people who check the verse category would be able to find them.

I personally wish Weekly would make sure to update the verse page for the weapon profiles he makes. As for the names, actually, we named them simple weapons such as Boltshot, Plasma pistol, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, ect. The full name is just what they are displayed on the Verse page weapons section. Though, images in a similar format to how Glassman does for a lot of verses would be best.

I'll do all that when i make the last two promethean pages, then i gotta finish the UNSC weapons and then their and the promethean vehicles

Not doing the big ships though, dont know enough about them

Oh yeah, it was also agreed a while back to delete the SPARTAN-III Program and ORION Project profiles. Both of them are heavily outdated and quite messy; additionally, it Reppuzan made it clear that each Spartan should preferably have their own profile, so having a general Spartan profile seems unnecessary. We generally agreed with Rep regarding those issues.

Those pictures look incomplete though; you see how John and Noble 6's pictures look? Or how the characters on Golden Sun (Verse) page look? That's what we want to see, with the names underneath the images on top of that.

Quote from the fall of reach.

"The Master Chief got up and ran through the shattered remains of the poles. Napalm and sonic grenades popped around him, but he moved so fast he left the worst of the damage in his wake."-

It's implied that he outran the blastwave of the mines here.

Looking for more respect thread feats, stay tuned

Well, it says he ran through it, not away from it. But he still seemingly reaction to the Sonic grenade, so that would still be another justification for Supersonic speed. Not sure how fast a Napalm's explosion is, but he ran fast enough to not be hit by the worst of the explosion. It's not really the same thing as running faster than the explosion. As for the Drop Pod feat, free falling/terminal velocity is 53 m/s according to this.

Okay, the velocity of an explosion can be found based off the size of the explosive. I'll take time to try and figure it out later.

Is it just me? Or am I seeing ablation on the pod?

Also, I'm calcing a feat for the Plasma grenade. I think I've got a result of 2.08 tons. Gonna post it in a bit.

He wasn't in the epicenter. But yeah, he did. I'll see if I can try and figure out how far he was from the blast later.

I highly doubt it was point blank, plasma grenades typically one shot everything. But distance from the blast seems plausible, but I did leave a comment in the blog.

If High 8C Chief becomes a Thing I'm tossing him at a RWBY character
Unless he gets a powerup in Halo Infinite where he fights Cortana in her current form, I doubt it will be a thing. But if that does happen, it could since Cortana disentigrated multiple Warden Eternals.

@DDM. For ashes, would just using the vaporization of water be better? I'll go aska calc group member.

It's not really Supernatural, just more natural luck/PIS. Supernatural Luck is given to people who are described as having the ability to manipulate probability iirc.

Titanium alloy outer shell/chest-arms-legs - Provides limited protection against kinetic and DEW.

Titanium alloy outer shell/waist - Waist plating contains ammunition/utility pouches.

Magnetic weapon holder strips - Magnetic strips on the waist, legs, and back of the suit used to hold equipment. Also present on the boots for zero G environments.

Energy shield system (only on Mark V & VI) - Energy shield device is reversed engineered from Jackal shield gauntlets.

Fail-safe detonation system (only on Mark V) - Produces a reactor overload that burns everything within a ten-meter radius, then produces a large blast to prevent the suit from falling into enemy hands.

Thruster Pack - Propels the user over short distances and helps maneuver in zero G environments.

Titanium nanocomposite bodysuit - Armored, black body suit under the outer metal plates, provides limited protection against ballistics and is coated with a heat resistant material to disperse heat from plasma weapons.

Inner skinsuit - Controls the temperature inside the suit. Hydrostatic gel - Pressurizes the suit to protect user against high G forces.

Pressure seal - Keeps the suit airtight underwater or in space.

Automatic Biofoam injectors (only on Mark VI) - Seals wounds and stops internal bleeding.

Lockdown system aka Armor Lock - Locks the suit in a rigid position to protect against high-impact (E.g. Falling at terminal velocity)

Quantum mirror - Part of the suit's motion tracker system. Auto-repair and bypass nodes - Nanobots that repair the armor.

I can get Regen, Magnetism Manip., A feat for Self-Destruction, etc...
