Death Battle Season Seven Discussion Thread (19) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

So I'm assuming that Hulk is gonna be the winner of this season finale? Because even if they scale him to those higher end feats, Broly would be able to adapt fast enough to overwhelm and as far as I'm aware he would be stronger still.
 
This is also the first battle we've had where the question of universal Marvel heralds REALLY matters, so I'm interested to see how they handle it. That's like, the only thing I'm interested in tho lol.

TOBA is an entirely a different Enity not something Hulk goes into 24/7
Venom didn’t get all his cates shit they the codex that folks thought that were gonna give him a W
And Wally had Multiversal Feats long before he was Unmoored

They did give Venom Cates stuff lol. The scaling for higher stuff just didn't hold up since apparently some people were over bloating his feats (for one, Carnage had let Venom kill him, despite what was being said). He also didn't scale to Thor, who one shot him. Dunno how the G1 blog misinterpreted that looking back.

Also, multiversal feats or not, Unmoored was still the year lol.

Either way, the causal normie audience will enjoy Hulk Vs Broly because of the lowest common denominator and the animation spectacle. Either way this season was overall pretty bland however unlike this site DB actually acknowledges tier 2 heralds so Hulk Vs Broly would've been debatable but immortal Hulk pretty much invalidates that and then some. Unfortunately this season's finale (as a VS debater) is the pinnacle of salt mining where either; ANOTHER popular Marvel character gets brought back just to die against an anime character (again) OR DB once again draws in the ire of the DBZ/S fandom. This was ill thought out imho.

Not that it matters lol!
 
Salt is good for business honestly, gets people talking. Spreads awareness about the episode.

Pretty much. Like I said before, I'm curious on how they tackle uni heralds for Marvel, since it really matters here. We already know what they believe for DC
 
What a ******* disappointment of a season finale, Asura vs Broly could have been visually far more interesting fight to see, and for what it looks like the animation seen to be nothing special.

But i guess a character from a japanese videogame that it isn't mainstream like Super Mario or Pokemon, is worth less than a character from a well known worldwide character from Marvel.

Indeed, this is a dream match for all the normies fans on youtube, but a very bland and boring one for anyone who had good taste.

Don't count on it, DB is an USA based show whose main target demographic are american men ages 21 to 40 (judging by the beer and viagra ads) and ofc DC/Marvel are still BIG in the states for their legacy as well as cultural impact.

If DB was a japanese or even an european VS show then ofc there would be less DC/Marvel bias (due cultural appropriation) but I digress.
 
Well it could've been a whole lot worse, imagine if by some unholy miracle it was Goku vs Superman 3 so even though this matchup is just stupid it's still better then anything else people have asked for.

Like i say, Hulk was just far too mainstream for not to be chosen, even if Asura vs Broly was a popular match that the core fans wanted for a long time.

But it clear that they didn't care about that, this was made of attract the viewers of casuals/normies, a Marvel is just far more know than Asura's Wrath.

The “Casual wanted X shit” is piss poor excuse
Causals wanted Ben to fight Danny or Beast Boy yet they picked Hal to face him
Causals wanted Carnage against Dart Maul or Alex Mercer yet they picked Lucy a character long forgotten
They picked Galaxia for Beerus when the latter Had Arceus,Thanos,Phoenix or whatever Character Normies were familiar with.

This proves without a shadow of a doubt Ben and Chad are grade A ******* morons who don’t know how to book for shit and lucky to have an IQ to reach double digits
 
Can we please look at the positives Tipper? Salt was one thing, but now it’s lost it’s fun. I’m really hoping they give hulk more than what we have on this site, perhaps his universal clap, and fight with the nameless one.
