No, there is like 30 years between Jason Drowning and the first movie, and they explicitly say in the film that Pamela has been secretly killing and sabotaging every attempt to open Camp Crystal Lake up until the movie so they got plenty of material, they also might have Jason play a part as he was roaming the forest and growing up into an adult up until that point where he sees his mother killed.

So what do you imagine the tone of the show being? A murder thriller with Pamela killing people and all that jazz?

Likely something similar to Bates Motel, or Hannibal I'd think, psychological drama, with Pamela becoming more desperate and vengeful with each time she has to step in stop the camp from opening, initially starts with the two murders, and her guilt and torment over that, then to her poisoning the water supply to scare people off, and as it goes on, she convinces herself she is more and more justified in her actions until she is the murderous mother in Friday the 13th

Well, can't say I'm surprised they're putting all their eggs into the RWBY basket. Aside from Death Battle, that's basically the one thing stopping RT from going under (for better or worse)...

Watched Jason VS Michael Myers and it's....yeah, okay. I do like the atmosphere, the setting and going with the slasher film plot. But it's underwhelming in some areas. Felt short, focused on one teen a little bit longer and really didn't give Jason and Michael most of their toolkit. I know these two aren't expert martial fighters but you gotta give them a bit more. Also Jason' preview felt short, maybe they could've delve a little bit more in the comics and movie a little in-depth. Music is neat at least, campfire setup is a fitting change of pace and the kill is pretty good, though Jason left for too long and I thought there's more to it but...guess not.

Not the worst fight overall but somewhere one of the weaker ones in this season. At least Jason made his Mama proud.

Like that apply to all media in my opinion. You can have some of the best animation but if your trying to tell a story and that story is dog shit filled with plot contrivances and poorly written characters then animation can only do so much.

Female Knight vs Lumine is slowly getting far, for now it's definitely a Mu that few know exists.

Anyway whisper is that character from Sonic the comics idw specifically.
