idk their own animators can do whatever they want. Origin is doing animation for Smash Bracket as well, so he could his own yugi vs ash fight if he wanted to.

Death Battle doesn't really closely stick to their own theme for seasons, it's more like a guideline.
They said every episode in Season 8 would be finale-worthy and look how that turned out lmao.
