Death Battle Season Eight Discussion Thread (2) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I’m thinking about writing my own VS series. Though it would just be writing since I can’t animate and would mainly focus on the fight itself, with a small summary at the end to explain why x beats y. Are there any requests? I’m looking to write ten episodes. Here’s what I have so far. Also it won’t always result in a death. It really depends on the character used.

1. Morag vs Winter Schnee (Xenoblade vs RWBY) [Completed]
2. Neo Politan vs Toga Himiko (RWBY vs My Hero Academia)
3. Kasen vs Fleetway Sonic (Touhou vs Fleetway Comics)

10. Monika vs Yukari Yakumo (Doki Doki Literature Club vs Touhou) [Season finale]
 
Since Galactus vs Unicron has been made public that it isn't the season finale, I'll include it in the Season 9 prediction blog.

Speaking of which, if I upload the blog as is (pretty incomplete atm), would anyone be interested in helping plug the gaps with it/argue for different rankings/bring matchups I may have forgotten?

My guess is they are gonna ignore/misinterpret many of Popeye's feats and wank Saitama to oblivion, saying he is also a gag or something idk this match seems way too stompish for a valid win con for Saitama. Unless DB goes back to the old ways and pulls out an NLF which i doubt they will do.
 
So uh how do y’all feel about Saitama vs Popeye being the finale? Personally I’m good with it as I very much enjoy OPM and Popeye. Did anyone from the DB team give there reason for why they settle on this being the finale?

They don’t wank characters via narrative arguments anymore so there’s no need to worry about another Goku vs Superman 2.

We know they shown interest in This MU plus it was a CDB last year
 
Chuck and Segata was amazingly fun, and a tie was the only natural way to end it with a fight built solely around their memetic potential.

I would honestly be kinda sour if we got another tie in that same vein of 'there's no winner because they're both too unstoppable'.

I genuinely hope that's not the route they go for, and this is a more typical Death Battle instead with a clear answer and winner.

and how the **** does popeye somehow have infinite spinach inside him. (something about how he can keep pulling out spinach). is it hammerspace?

Depends on the Toon Force user. Some can nosell damage, but others aren't as effective.

It's a character sensative power, no different than most resistances or ways to avoid damage.
