God, Lightning and Lasers better not get a sibling with Radio waves.

Whats everyone's opinion on DB being superlax on lightning & laser dodging? I don't like it.

I agree. I think the biggest example is Esdeath vs Gray? Where they stated both had comparable speed as they scale to lightning dodging. Despite the former being MHS while the latter is Sub-Rel

This is not super lax on lightning and light dodging. This is blatant ignorance upon a certain feat on another verse.

The real lax is Shoto Todoroki vs Zuko, where they honestly believed Kaminari's electric attacks as travelling at lightning speed (at least 98000 m/s).

The premise of the game sounds awesome, but like, i don't even know what to think of it, i know is too early but i wonder how will it play out since it seems we can play as cell, and he seems to have access to his nuke arsenal, so i wonder how they will balance that out.

Ngl, playing as cell to drink people and blow up stuff sounds fun, actually having destructive freedom would probably make a awesome dbz game.

Steven Universe was basically "I will make Hitler (white diamond), Goebbles (yellow diamond), Göring (red diamond) and Himmler (blue diamond) gemstones, and all they do is whine how misreable they are, even thought they are genocidal facist in every way!)

Both Athletic Japanese high schoolers who fight enemies that threaten their society under their alter ego (Skull and Sailor Jupiter respectively), alongside a squad of fellow fighters that use similar tools to them (the Phantom Thieves and the Sailor Guardians respectively). Both are among their team's physically strongest members, specialize in electricity and gain new states of being as their journeys progress (Ryuji awakening to more powerful Personas and Makoto gaining new forms throughout her journey). They're also frequently mistaken for delinquents due to their appearances and are missing at least one parental figure in their life (Ryuji's dad abandoning him and his mother and Makoto's parents dying in a plane crash), both of which lead to them developing problems in their behavior (Ryuji becoming far more irritable and even violent towards anyone who mocks his home life and Makoto developing a fear of planes).

I mean, lightning dodging is fine to be pretty lax about as long as it isn't an outlier.

I'm mixed on lasers, though. Specifically Danny's in Jake vs Danny, since they're never stated to be lasers or lightspeed, they just show many of the qualities of actual light.

IMO Spider-Man having lightspeed reactions isn't that unreasonable considering he's directly fought two separate characters who very specifically use actual light-based attacks (One of whom directly referring to Spider-Man as the fastest thing they've ever seen), as long as he dosn't have any major consistent anti-feats I don't know about beyond the typical "Writer dosn't know how fast a character is so they get hit by bullets" stuff.

I agree with BlackDarkness that it should be calced instead of just giving them the raw speed, however.
 
Speaking about DB, i have found this weird MU on r/deathbattle (Yeah, this subreddit is a great source for ****** up MUs with surprisingly alright connections).
Also, iirc someone bringed up how Goofy (specifically Supergoof) was kinda OP in the comics and asked who can he fight
Well, here's the anwser, i guess:

Connections:

  • Iconic, orange-clad, animated characters who have a two syllable name that begins with Go, though this is not their birth name (Kakarot and George).

  • Both are very kind but incredibly dumb, which is known to sometimes get them and their friends in trouble.

  • When they’re not going on adventures, they are working various jobs (Goku being forced to get a job by Chi Chi and Goofy having many occupations throughout his career).

  • In their friend group, there is their short, blue-clad friend with severe anger issues (Vegeta and Donald) and an even shorter, kind and optimistic friend (Krillin and Mickey). The shortest one has the most stable and loving relationship of the three (Android 18 and Minnie), the blue friend often fights with their partner but still really loves them (Bulma and Daisy), and the orange hero has the most unstable relationship (Chi Chi who is always yelling at Goku and Mrs. Goof was very promiscuous and presumably left or died).

  • They have a son who is a lot smarter and not as goofy as their father (Gohan and Max). The father really loves their son, but they often don’t see eye to eye with them due to their differences.

  • They at times force their kid into situations that isn’t in their son’s best interest (Goku forcing Gohan to fight Cell and Goofy forcing Max to go on a road trip with him).

  • They do eventually learn that they don’t always know what is best for them and that they need to give them some space (Goku staying in the afterlife to keep his family safe and Goofy realizing that his son should go do the things he wants without him). This in turn makes the bond with their son stronger.

  • They do eventually come back into their sons life though, which causes new problems (Goku coming back to life and Goofy going to Max’s college).

  • Their son is best friends with the son of their former enemy (Vegeta’s son Trunks and Pete’s son PJ). Despite this former enemy now being a family man, they don’t always get along with the hero and can be very competitive.

  • They have “super” forms that greatly enhance their strength (Super Saiyan and Super Goof).
