Hajime no Ippo isn't an Anime mainstream in the USA (for what i'm aware of it) and i'm pretty sure none of the DB's crew have ever see the series.
Meaning the chances to appearance in a fight are little to none.

But at same time, Little Mac vs Ippo gained good popularity and is still quite requested on DB community. It features Little Mac a character who people know at least because of famous hardest boss Mike Tyson and/or Smash. And most importantly we previously had characters from unpopular series, as well as there's no statements of it not happening (like with MLP unfortunately). So I can see it happening.
Even if you'll accept DMC bunks Nero will still win, that's how much Yang is basically dead here.

Agreed while I usually pass on RWBY DBs on principle, the recent RWBY commissions are borderline spite MUs. Penny dies (Yet again...) to P3s best girl, Ruby gets nuked by essentially a digital magical girl and Yang either gets roasted by an ape or sliced to ribbons by a pretty boy.
I know DB and stomps are pretty synonymous with each other but at least have some "debatable" MUs (That don't require astronomical leaps of logic to be considered "close").

Little Mac is at least notable in the USA.
And yeah with Balrog vs TJ Combo already dished out as a half-hell half-heaven piece Ippo vs Little Mac is the notable boxer matchup remaining.
Unless we go for Balrog (Street Fighter) vs Little Mac or Ippo Makunouchi.

He does have a lot of broken hax that could overcome a massive dura/AP disadvantage assuming inflated DB jojo speed allows him to keep up.
Connection wise it's really hard to imagine another character with compatible backstories and good connections to him other than weather powers. And if we're talking entirely about weather powers, Ichirin Kumoi would be better, since tbh Unzan is basically a cloud punch ghost, similar to Weather Report.Even if it's an ungodly stomp for Ichirin.
