  • Both character's parents were killed when they were children by a purple ****** (Ridley and Purprill). Both would also eventually avenge their parents.
  • Both characters were then raised by a non-human (Aile was raised by Girouette, a reploid, while Samus was raised by the Chozo)
  • Both are hybrids, part human and part the species that raised them (All humans are given robotic parts to make them closer to robots in Mega Man ZX's time, while Samus got Chozo DNA)
  • Both have the DNA of major antagonists that were once believed to be noble (Aile has the DNA of Master Albert, while Samus has Raven Beak's DNA), allowing them to utilize several armors with various abilities.
  • Each can use an "Evil" suit (Model O for Aile and the Phazon Suit/The Metroid Suit as of Dread for Samus)
 
Biggest connections for Samus and X off the top of my head are that they use Arm Cannons and their villains/archenemies (Ridley/Sigma) come back form the dead constantly without explanation. Sigma's a robot so putting his brain in a new robot body fine enough.

Well, does this means Ridley vs Vile unironically have more connections...

Like seriously:
  • Villains with a personal connection to the protagonist
  • Returned from the dead multiple times
  • Criminals who work under the main villains (Mother Brain/Sigma) who commit their violent acts for personal fulfilment, rather than monetary gain ·
  • Psychotic killers who adore death and destruction
  • Based on live-action sci-fi movie villains from the 70’s (Xenomorph, Bubba Zanetti)
  • Cybernetic augmentations and Purple color scheme
  • Responsible for molding the protagonist’s path at the beginning of their games with unwinnable boss fights
  • Have successfully gotten the better of the protagonist, and on at least one occasion would have killed them if not for outside intervention from an antagonist turned ally (Zero/Baby Metroid)

Wouldn't surprise me at this point, would get a good chuckle out of me though. Haloid/Monty have had a big effect on Death Battle so having Samus vs Chief somewhere in Season 8 would make sense, even though Samus and Chief both have better opponents.

What episode has highest number of incorrect statements?

Just having one single major mistake doesn't count, it has to be a number count. It might just be Pikachu vs Blanka? Or maybe Goku vs Supes 1.

If Al vs Dio didn't garner that much salt, I doubt this will. But who knows? Maybe enough people bought Seth's horrendous wank and will be upset to see Korra get stomped. I doubt it, but its possible, I guess.

Also, the thing is Robbie Rotten isn't really Stefan Karl, he's a character played by Stefan Karl, i know that may sound dumb, considering wrestling is just a bunch of buff guys playing some characters and suplexing each other, but wrestling characters are more close to the people that portray them, the biggest example i can think of is when Jim Hellvig, the Ultimate Warrior, changed his legal name to just "Warrior", there are probably more examples of that, but it's the biggest one i can think of

That’s partly true, but then what do we do for sprites and models at this point?

Imagine for a moment that Obi-Wan vs Kakashi wasn’t made till later, and George Lucas (or whoever played that model of Obi Wan, can’t remember who and I can’t be bothered to look it up) kicked the bucket in that time. Would you use the same model? What would the implication be at that point?

Korra vs Storm wasn't a Random MU it existed for years and was a CDB only to be overshadowed by Rey and Delsin latter on
Blue Beatle vs Samus is way too random and not among each other MU list don't look at DBFW as evidence

As busy as I am from work right now... Master Chief VS Samus Aran has mostly died down (except for the very few remaining who by themselves know this will be boring but just want to do it because "of legacy" and "just because") and Captain America VS Kamen Rider Ichigo... at least we finally see Kamen Rider representatives.

ironic considering Samus Aran vs Mega Man X and Mega Man (Star Force) vs Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) (Post-Crisis) exist as popular (if not straight legacy) matchups and look at least fun on paper.

Tetsuo Shima vs. Shinji Ikari: I know Tets has Magneto and Mewtwo and Shinji has Godzillia and Gundam but I really enjoy the fight for the very fact that this could a David vs. Goliath style matchup and the fact that it's thematic and the music track could be killer af.

Akuma vs. Garou: It would've been cool to see Oni vs. Monster Garou, man.

Satsuki Kiryuin vs. Death the Kid: A kick ass mu with guns blazing and swords clashing. And there are great connections for this fight.

Shirou Emiya vs. Hyde Kido: It's a very niche matchup but I would really be happy if this cam to be.

Little Mac VS Ippo Makunouchi (Punch-Out!! VS Hajime no Ippo)
Dimentio VS Kefka Palazzo (Super Mario VS Final Fantasy VI)
Daisuke Jigen VS Revolver Ocelot (Lupin III VS Metal Gear)
Scion VS Lavos (Parahumans VS Chrono Trigger)
Shirou Ogami VS Bigby Wolf (Brand New Animal VS Fable)
