Haven't really been vocal about it on the wiki but I talked a lot on discord about it but the rampant and widespread disrespect Sonic has been getting off site on twitter and etc. Has been ******* nuts

Literally can't have shit gets obscenely downplayed to the ground for this bowser Matchup and for this metal sonic matchup, metal ******* sweeps even with these DB goons not knowing whats canon from whats not and people say Sonic's overhyped and wanked, I'll be satisfied if Bowser is dealt a swift defeat because otherwise lots of goons are gonna be really insufferable 🫡

And what world are you living in where sonic is glazed off site and isn't constantly not berated or downplayed to hell because I'd love to live there😭😭
 
Sonic scaling to me feels like two sides 1 side glazed him too far higher than I think he should be while the other downplays him to oblivion and ignores clear feats.

For example, Mario could do a hyperversal feat, and people would be far more likely to scale him up to that level, but if Sonic had a similar feat, people would just ignore it and call it an outlier, which is fine but at least consistent about it.

Yeah but tbf the sonic super wank is so obvious and it doesn't happen nearly as much as like Mario for your example, I've seena few mfers say 26d or whatever sonic and its fun to watch and be like this ***** cap but the video is entertaining lol.

Mario literally is exactly in the light you say peeps genuinely treat him like some outerversal gag character (the fact that so many say he's gag character and instantly wins most matchups kills me) offsite people would say tier 5 and 4 sonic is outliers when modern goons have like a two dozen or so 3-A to low 2-C feats in base😭😭

I actually didnt save all the previous notes, but OmnimanBardock is at 1.8 mil atm and was 1.4 mil in a week which is decent for modern DB. Ill refer to WayBack Machine info.

No way in hell that people on this thread believed that Sonic high tier arguments are more contested in comparison to Mario, I knew that Sonic fans like to play the victim a lot, but this is a new low, Mario is always see by the majority of the audience as just an atletic guy that beats a ´´super dumb turtle´´, while Sonic is generally seen as the furry flash that beats up entire armies of murder robots

Was already kinda talked about with my last post, but there's a really bad bias for what you directly experience.

I don't ever see the levels of Mario wank I see complained about. I only see the complaining.

Very easy to get stuck in your negativity when it's festered by the environment you sit in. I seem to only be in groups that massively wank and excessively give things to Sonic, to the point where it skewed how I was thinking about the community before I took a step back.

It was very much giving me the opposite concerns. That regardless of the outcome, the Sonic 'Goons' were going to be the insufferable ones, because I'd already watched their behavior, got sick of it...Win they'll probably be annoying, loss they'll likely throw a fit.

It was seriously ruining my excitement for the fight, not irony or jokes, but...lotta stepping away from the keyboard and I found my center.

I haven't stopped thinking those people in particular are unpleasant and I don't want to be around them, but it's been my very polar opposite experience.

The double standards here are beyond blatant. People love to complain about outerversal Mario arguments and other shit, yet happily ignore the endless posts, reels, videos, and blogs pushing for outerversal Sonic. If anything, some people treat Mario as he’s just a regular human, while Sonic’s highest-end showings are praised to no end (This is peak victim mentality if you say this doesn't happen)
Let's face it, both Mario and Sonic are wanked and downplayed. Mario’s higher-tier arguments also met with intense pushback, while Sonic’s can also be blindly tolerated.if you’re claiming consistency for Sonic and ignoring his clear anti-feats, especially in IDW, you’re just playing favorites, both have comparable amounts of anti-feats

Also claiming Mario was empowered by a Grand Star is outright lying. At this point.
 
I'm going by what I remember and what people around me has gone with and people has been going around with what I followed for Mario arguments. Again it is dependent on which environment there is. I'm just merely stating my stuff. Like I had to endure someone saying "Eggman isn't planet level" arguments downplay

I may have misremember for galaxy stuff. So that is my fault for misremembering. So I'm leaving that part out.

You need to take a step outside this wiki and go somewhere else because this is the only place where Sonic "goons" are complaining about this fight or thinking Eggman wins. Everywhere else is a Bowser sweep.
