DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I am extremely sympathetic to that opinion towards this site, after Dragon Ball had to scratch and claw for hypertimeline shit, fighting through conveniently timed standard changes as soon as it got accepted.
I think the absolute worst part of that time period was how long it took for VBW to accept Immeasurable speed DBH.

Because every time it happened, as you said, the standards for immeasurable changed right as it got accepted and it would be nullified. And the fact that it happened twice is very sus in my opinion.

And that's ignoring other instances like 2-C Super/GT, multiple universe sized macrocosms, Moon level Roshi, and Tier 1 DB in any capacity.

I keep forgetting that we had Roshi at like city level or something until, I think it was the very end of 2020 or the start of 2021.
It took Seth the Programmer bullying and mocking VBW on stream to get Roshi to Moon Level. I mean it sucks that it took bad publicity and humiliation to correct such an objective wrong, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Seth is a POS but he kept this site in line.

We semi recently had an attempt to try and make charged attacks scale way beyond physicals in an attempt to get 8C physicals 5C Kamehameha, or High 4C physicals 4B Kamehameha.

That shit gone thankfully but there was an attempt to kind of bring that type of crap back

Seth is a massive dumbass but he'll sometimes say something true when the time calls for it. But then he'll falter whenever he's an unfiltered idiot.

His video going over moon roshi thread was fcking hilarious ngl, dude was saying certain mods had fat c*cks for pointing out how stupid the outlier arguement was

Entertaining af

Apparently that seems to still be in effect for one profile (BoS Roshi having 8-C SS and Dura but a 5-C Kamehameha)

BORBA IS BACK LET'S GOOOOOOOOO

Don't forget no Infinite Speed for DBS, despite the many quotes of infinite size Living World for databooks which refer to canon and not just Toei.
But don't you see? Those quotes were clearly meant to be hyperbole and poetry, not actually meant to be taken seriously!

The discourse against canon DB is so crazy, that it's practically the reason why I focus on the games side of things

The Kamehameha is a fcking quintillion times multiplier, got it. Let's apply that to the rest of the series👍

What even is or isn't an outlier? Is there any agreed upon standard?
Honestly, I am confused about this as well. We disregard a lot of things on lower ends as simple anti-feats or inconsistencies (unless you're Mario), but when a high end pops up, no matter how removed from the consistent previous showing is, everything will scale to it.

So just to to put a summary for what to look forward to:
  • 27 full minutes, making this one of the longest episodes to date and the longest episode we've had in years
  • vocal soundtrack performed by VICTOR BORBA [I am the storm that is approaching!]
  • 4k animation cooked by MORØ
  • OriginTheHero is in the production (part in Billcord)
This ep is gonna be so Hype! little over 24 hours

Its kinda case by case really, goku isnt the strongest there and not even top 5 either, so him getting that while nobody else has anything on that level in canon is like not consistent in that instance
That isn't grounds for an outlier. That just means everyone upscales.

If Kyle can punch through drywall, and his dad and uncle are stated to be stronger but we've never seen them punch through drywall, that doesn't make Kyle's feat an outlier.
