All-purpose request thread (New forum)

our upcoming DC cosmology project will hopefully create a different foundation for these revision threads to work from in the first place.
Our upcoming DC Cosmology project has been upcoming for a couple of years. To ban everything until it's done or we have some hard "must be completed date" seems weird to me. If we've provided enough counterarguments to dismiss something for an upgrade or downgrade, then it shouldn't be a massive task to take those and just make some basic thing we can use until a better one is made.

Maybe a discussion rule or something idk.

Can Thanos' page be unlocked as per this CRT?

I have done so. Tell me here when you are done please.

Well, that was only part of the reasoning. There also seemed to be a lot of repetition and stonewalling going on.

Requesting this thread to be closed. It's been effectively answered and I believe it's mostly been done by a user who is inexperienced with the profiles.

Requesting another thread to be closed. Uses the AoE fallacy as the basis of the downgrade for a profile that already has more detailed upcoming reworks in the plans (But the main premise of the OP will never be accepted either now or in the future because it is simply too fallacious to boot).

Bump.

Maverick handled it.

Thank you.
No problem. 🙏
oh sorry i'm still confused by the function of all the threads, i'll look for the right one next time, anyway thanks for the help
See here:

Minor minor thing but Crzer07 is retired right? (Bless their soul). They still have the content mod tag and are still listed in the staff member section on the forum.

Super snitchy thing I know, but it might be confusing for newer users to see someone being tagged as a mod when they arent anymore

Yes, thank you for the information. I will inform AKM sama about it.

Normally I'd make a thread for this but it's really minor and frankly non-controversial, so...
Uh... it seems we have a redundant Editing Rule:

The following should be removed:
  • Regarding Verse-specific Powers and Abilities, keep in mind that these pages should only be made when a significant number of characters possess the relevant ability, and that said ability should cover several other powers and abilities, in order to avoid redundant repetitions in character profiles. Some examples: Puella Magi Physiology, Nen, Haki, Servant Physiology
    • Before creating this type of page, please make sure to have its addition accepted in a thread in the Content Revisions forum. This is because verse-specific powers and abilities often tend to be controversial and they should be scrutinized by the staff and the community before being published.
Why? Because there's already this (And is the updated version out of linked revisions) lower on the same page:

  • Regarding Verse-specific Powers and Abilities, keep in mind that these pages should only be made when at least 5 characters in total possess the relevant ability or a resistance to it, while also being indexed with them in this wiki, and said ability includes at least 10 other powers and abilities, in order to avoid redundant repetitions in character profiles. The required number of powers and abilities for qualifying can be lowered to 5 for cases that require particularly large explanations for their powers and abilities, without bloating with information unrelated to our purposes. Some examples: Puella Magi Physiology, Nen, Haki, Sword Logic.
    • Verse-specific powers and abilities that have several subtypes for certain kinds of characters should only have them if the power as a whole is related enought to them, as such it is inappropiate to merge several verse-specific powers and abilities into a single page if separate pages would be a better alternative, especially if this is being done to bloat a page in content to qualify.
    • Before creating this type of page, please make sure to have its addition accepted in a thread in our Content Revisions forum. This is because verse-specific powers and abilities often tend to be controversial and they should be scrutinized by our staff and community before being published.

I handled this btw. Thanks for pointing out.
