My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

even subsonic is silly to use for a dodging a magical dream world truck moving at a completely unguessable speed
It’s not a “dream world” though, it’s a world formed from memories. And no one is expecting any good results, it’s just neat to have A feat for a quirkless person that blatantly shows they’re still superhuman without quirks.

Yknow… ignoring the hundreds of other ones… like anything Endeavour does without his fire…

Well that's what almost everyone predicted. All For one is back. I hope they do something like Tenko gives back Deku all the quirks he took + new order as his last redeeming act while AFO kills the Tenko's consciousness and fully takes over Tomura so we can have one final round back in the real world. But I have a feeling that's this is gonna end in the vestige world.

Izuku finally sees what happen in Tomura's past and tries to hold off Tenko. The lie he's told himself ever since the Liberation Army Arc is coming undone, that he wanted to kill his family and that it wasn't a tragedy. The central reason for it all is simple, if he didn't want to destroy them, why was he born like this in the first place?

Once again, we get it pointed out that Izuku doesn't know what to do against Shigaraki to end this all. But at the very least, he'll understand him and be there for him. That's why Izuku Midoriya is here. He's going to keep his hand out for whoever needs it, because these "villains" are also people as well.

But I love Tomura's take after that. It's one of the main themes of MHA, shown best in Izuku vs Gentle Criminal, but can be found elsewhere. People have dreams and live to make them come true, but sometimes a dream becomes more than just something you have.

Sometimes you have people to support, help, and even share in your dream. Izuku's dream is no longer his own anymore, it's become something bigger than himself. He doesn't just want to make his dream come true, Izuku wants to be the guy that lives up to the expectations of everyone who believes in him.

He wants to show them all a bright future.

Tomura is the same now, even if he doesn't fully realize that or not. He admits that even if all of his hatred went away, he can't stop moving. Because his dream isn't his own anymore, he wants to give his friends the future they believed he could bring. Tomura straight up says he wants to be their hero.

His ideals have spread beyond him and become something more. He doesn't want to let his friends down. These people want the current world destroyed so that something better can be made and he's fine with getting rid of it all so they can make their own world. A world better than what they got.

Tomura is about to come to a realization soon and AFO will be in for a big surprise when his last ditch effort completely fails.

Note: The idea that AFO became "friends" with Kotaro just to find some way of messing up his life to get back at Nana and All Might is so petty that it's funny. Got to imagine how Kotaro would feel knowing this guy was the reason his mother had to leave him in the first place, and ended up killing her too.

Sure AFO is getting a moment and it'll start as big, but we all know this is going to fall down the drain like everything else. Can't wait to see him have another mental break down over losing again. This is man is getting more L's even after he's dead, how is that even possible.

Truly amazing.

I think I know how all of this is ending, I can't wait to see what Horikoshi has in store for us next chapter because this has been going up and up for me.

I can’t believe I ever thought the final battle was gonna be over like 5 chapters ago… This is just non-stop peak
