It's been almost a month since I've last commented on this thread, and I just wanted to say that holy **** was that a god awful episode. I think that Gru vs Megamind may be one of the worst episodes of Death Battle I've ever seen since I began watching the show, without any hesitation to say so.

This surpasses Kratosura holy shit. I don’t wanna be mean to the newbie 3D animator, but WHY were they given such an anticipated death battle? Megamind lost which I already hate but everything about it makes it my least favorite episode of modern death battle.

Not to mention I'm pretty sure Megamind doesn't cap out just a lightning timer either, what the hell. Just 'assuming' that those were nukes because of the cloud they left without showing literally any other signs of them being nukes is some amazing reasoning. This one was just really bad, I'm sorry for all the fans that were really looking forward to this. Not to mention not a single reference to the Brainbots having the cages that can keep Minions out of the fight with their superior numbers this was just like a season 2 episode through and through.

The ending of the battle was pretty funny but other than that this episode was kind of mid. As for the next time Chainsaw man fans are eating good though (or bad if this is another L) because only having to wait an episode for their next death battle is GREEDY.

Nah, I'm not blaming the animators for this one. Since they're new to the show, then it's unfair for me to judge them when they're starting their tenure.

But even outside the animation being not good, everything else around this episode was horrendous. I thought that Kratos vs Asura had its problems, but Gru vs Megamind makes that shit look like Bowser vs Eggman.

This is actually the first Death Battle I pressed the dislike button on since Ben 10 VS Green Lantern. Oh my God, it was so bad it is upsetting.

Luckily probably doesn't seem so. The main thread already has a near half balance of people saying they were disappointed with the other half being '7/10 but it made me laugh'

Also I think this one was probably my least favorite 'writing consists of references' episode in a while. No offense to the VA but you're not gonna outdo Ferrel's original line delivery of that.
