DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

It's going to really hurt seeing Yusuke get wrecked by Ichigo. They'll probably pull a ChiefSlayer and make the stats look even but it wouldn't matter since Ichigo has too many forms and hax for Yusuke to keep up with.
ichigo is more of a brick being real and only has TS and HOS with bankai(which we never seen due to yhwach) as form goes

What? How the **** is Goku vs Superman 3 anywhere close to being worse than GVS2? Not only did they argue that Superman was basically infallible and limitless, but they completely slandered and mischaracterized Goku's character so badly that it left a notable stain for awhile after GVS2 came out. Polar opposites of the third episode, which highly respected Goku and Superman and gave well put together reasons as to why Superman beat Goku without downplaying the latter.

It's really difficult for me to articulate just how nonsensical and stupid this makes you sound right now, dude. Like just get over it already.
GvS 3 did so much damage to Goku and his character that it basically killed Dragon Ball in VS. The entire episode except his surprisingly good analysis was a massive middle finger to Dragon Ball and its fanbase.

every time i come in chat its js you and weekly fighting man
Me and him cant even see each other posts anymore for a while now due to staff taking care of it

Meanwhile Sean throws tantrum over death battle fights ruining franchises or disrespecting them, you just throw surface level commentary on whatever you happen to catch in the moment around

Thoughts on YHVH vs Arceus?
YHVH mentions always make me want to post my edit.

Tbh does YHVH have much animation references for fighting? Might not be ideal MU.

Never figured out who should Arceus fight, but it does seem it has been requested a lot. Might actually happen some day.

Ichigo has presence erasure with Sonido and Gran Ray Cero can warp space. Not to mention his Hollow powers have regenerated an entire missing organ before.

He's less of a brick than Yusuke.

He has an army and like abuncha avatars

Yusuke vs Ichigo? Who's idea was this on Death Battle...?
I love YYH and Yusuke's still the goat, but he is not surviving this.

What damage? That Goku doesn't solo everyone?
To Goku's character. If Goku had an opponent he knew he could never beat he would be over the fcking moon because that means he always has a horizon to look to. He wouldn't just give up, and he certainly wouldn't need a lecture from King Kai about all this shit either.

Plus there's the attacking someone who doesn't want to fight, or the 'get off my planet' shit.

This shit combined with DBZA's prevalence at the time, as well as DBS, kick started this made up version of Goku whose a complete blood knight that doesn't give a shit about anything other than fighting.

Despite what DBZA, and Goku himself thinks, the decisions he makes that are the most reckless are the ones he makes out of forgiveness, showing good faith and trust to people and situations he should not, (not going after Gero preemptively lead to Cell, his belief in the future generation made him not kill Buu when he thought he could).

Sean's yapping but Death Battle horrifically butchered Goku's character on a fundmental level. Not to say Super escaped unharmed but it wasn't nearly to the same extent as Goku, despite how bad Superman fans try to act like they are on veteran difficulty.

You'd have a point if Sean was dunking on GvS 2, but no, they're dunking on GvS 3, and saying 2 was better than it

You know, GvS 2, the episode that actually butchered both characters, that episode

They were talking about GvS3 (2023)
Sean was arguing that GvS3 (2023) killed Dragon Ball in VS

if it killed dragon ball in vs, why do so many people complain about omnidock then?

Jesus its big 26 and we're still talking Goku vs Superman ☠️
Db back folks sean move on from this shit and complain about something else

And he wasnt even mountain level, they said Goku was durable to withstand a bit below planet busting via Android 16 self destruct made for him specifically
Also the first GvS had them outright deny the very concept of scaling which is where like 90% of all Dragon Ball feats come from. Death Battle just had a completely different way of measuring a character’s stats back then.
Wiz: We cannot judge Goku by his power level, nor can we through power scaling, the theory that he can achieve the same feats as lesser Dragon Ballcharacters. Goku's abilities are tailored to his personal training and experiences, not to mention anatomy.

The episode that perfectly characterized Goku, gave him immeasurable speeds and said he was strong enough to destroy his own cosmology several times over killed Dragon Ball in VS? You serious?
