DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

How it feels to agree with Weekly on Yugi beating Ash.

Ok but fr in what world would Ash tell his gengar to rip out someone Soul. A lot of ash wincons feel very situational vs Yugi whose win cons are easier to argue.
Agenda
I mean, its super, super blatant in Yugi's case. Like they straight up have Yubel, the character with the power to destroy 12 universes, directly say that Yugi is stronger than them
iirc one of the researchers buy 5d yugi

One of Death Battle's rules is that neither character has any moral restraints against killing someone, so unless Ash really likes to play around he'll try to win by any means necessary

And by DB's own reasoning Dante had a notable speed edge (11X FTL vs 3X FTL) and was stronger since he stomps his universal opponents several times over while Clive struggled heavily against his at his peak with humanity's willpower behind him. Never mind their conclusion being based on selective use of gameplay mechanics and headcanon, or one of Dante's primary weapons having Absolute Zero as an instant wincon.

But yeah, uninspiring matchup, bad and even self-contradictory research, wrong outcome, signs of the outcome being predetermined and the research being twisted to fit that outcome, just standard stuff really.
Uh they brought up the fact Clive beat a stronger version of that universal god in his base form, tho? Not saying Clive wins, but you are leaving out details on his scaling

Also, 11xvs 3x is such a big gap, Idk what they were thinking when they said they are equal in speed lol.

As a matchup Dante vs Clive is kinda peak, just not that popular.

I genuinely dont think i'll ever understand why people think me portraying RWBY accurately is wank
I mean, I vividly recall you trying to make all RWBY's DC crossovers canon, despite them contradicting one another, which does fit the definition of wank I think.

No? The only one ive ever argued is canon is the two films, because the writers directly said that they are

Hatsune Miku and Henry Stickman are probably the characters left that I'm least excited to see, mostly cause I'm really sure who'll they will face off against.

Everyone else I have a vague idea, but not for those two

I don't know about you and RWBY, but my experience with accusations of "wank" (because we absolutely must use sexual innuendoes to communicate apparently) is that it is applied to anything even remotely higher than what the accuser accepts, regardless of evidence or anything else. Time was City Block level DMC and God of War was labelled as the height of "wank" and viciously attacked as too high.
