Godzilla vs Hulk is currently sitting at 1.7 million views at the time of this comment, rivaling Tom vs Wile and it's likely that it'll surpass the latter in views some time this week. That's pretty good by DB standards, I'd wager.

By classic line up, 5 to 6. They're definitely haxxier, but stats wise, I wouldn't say they're that much higher than the Sinister Six. I'd argue they're fairly even speed wise even if the rogues have an edge.

I will say also that DB is very... weird with Outer scaling right now. They make it a point that Godzilla and Hulk are equal in power, despite the fact that very clearly Marvel cosmology outscales the **** out of Godzilla - but then bring up this black box in the post analysis
It's like they treat all forms of Outer, Low 1-A - High 1-A, as the same level to start but if power is the deciding factor they just give it to the higher Outer anyways

From my perspective: it seems that Death Battle's logic is that Hulk is objectively more powerful than Godzilla and even the Entity/IT, but because the Entity/IT runs off of R>F shenanigans then cosmology scaling is irrelevant to it and thus is negligible to say Hulk out scales it when it's safe to assume they'll always be even with each other.I will say also that DB is very... weird with Outer scaling right now. So instead of it being a matter of how powerful Hulk was, it was a matter of Hulk's range affecting a bigger cosmology in order to interact with the Entity/IT in the first place.

@SpecterSkater I mean Liam was mostly reading off of the vs battle wiki stuff for Noel and admits his knowledge on the series isn’t the most expansive. Though it is surprising the votes even landed in 40-60 and it wasn’t as onesided towards Kiana.

Yeeeh... the loser side was bound to get salty. Had Hulk won because of any other factor there would be complaints about that instead. Same if Godzilla had won. I say not worth getting your mood spoiled by it.

I saw people complain about Hulk using the Green Door because since this is a Death Battle the moment you die you lose, you cannot resurrect yourself

It was neat to see them revisit the verse and admit "Nah we were way out of our depth when we did Sol vs Ragna, and now we're way out of depth for just a DBC"
I suppose it does make sense that it was that close of a decision as well since a lot of the discussion was "Does my child in a sandbox power negate your child in a sandbox power" without getting way too far into the nitty-gritty of each verse. Personally I still believe Kiana takes it if it ever did become an official battle, but I have a Honkai bias so...

@Entity Even though numerous immortal characters have been on the show and do just that on top of winning but no one bats an eye, on top of Goji literally dying twice before he had a shot at killing hulk in the episode but ok. Whatever floats their boat for Goji to win.
@SpecterSkater it’s still funny to me that Ben underestimated the complexity Honkai and BlazBlue has and assumed it’s like Invincible or Dragon Ball level simplicity. I’ll just say that with what I’ve been looking through for BlazBlue, Kiana is probably gonna need that old 1-A+ scaling for her to match what’s coming for the series.

So barely anything changed if they used Ultima or Marvel scaling. Only that Bruce would have an easier time to kill Goji since he doesn’t have a higher existence respawning him over and over again.

Marvel Godzilla, especially in the recent Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe comic (which the writer stated multiple times that it's explicitly canon to 616 and is a sequel to the 60's comic) where he does crazy shit like (from reading the comic itself): killing a newborn Celestial, one shotting Thor, being too strong for multiple teams of heroes like the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men to defeat, and being stated by Doctor Strange to be more powerful than he was in the 60's and just effectively terrifying him with how strong he is.
The big problem, as Maverick stated, is that Godzilla matches Hulk in AP but lacks the range to affect the Below Place. Though I should note that the third issue of Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe is going to involve Godzilla duking it out with Hulk, so it's going to be interesting to see how that turns out.

True. Also gotta lowkey agree with the crew exasperation of these 1-A matchups as of late. I know Maka and Ruby will buck the trend next (Love my girl Maka, but even I don't buy her getting Multiverse-tier feats from Fire Force scaling. I buy some amount of FF scaling because it's literally a prequel to Soul Eater and has to be considered) and I know Aang vs Traveler won't get that high. Ash vs Yugi will be up there, but probably not Complex Multiversal?

But does Godzilla in hell amount to anything? Even if he fought God, Azathoth, Yaldabaoth, the Gigachad or whatever, those are still that story's versions of those characters with their own scaling, not Tier 1 to 0 due to scaling to their original stuff.
