Not entirely surprised, but happy to hear. I know people nag on them for how they scaled BB back during Ragna/Sol but I think they're at least a bit more familiar with how it works now.
Not that it's enough to fight Hoyo's favorite girl, but still. Honestly I hope this opens the gates to more Hoyoverse (or even more gacha games in general) representation in the series.

Also, as Ben said, the intention whether Hulk sealed Ultima away or legitimately erased him was left up to viewer interpretation. He did say that Hulk had enough throughout his history to say he could kill Ultima, but since Ultima was always portrayed as an unknown they wanted to keep it that way

Legit I'd be the happiest damn person if that happened. There's so many fun and interesting characters that could lend themselves to cool fights, and tons of different kinds of fights you could do.
Mecha/Sentai battle? You got Firefly (potentially SEED)
Cowboy/Duelist battle? Hell, go with Boothill or Miyabi.
Could even do fun team battles with any of the ZZZ factions.
At least the scaling is relatively simple within their own universes, since HSR and ZZZ don't go too far into the greater Hoyoverse (Star Rail a bit more of course, but still)

Spider-Man tends to pull his punches even against his major villains, doc ock punching scorpions jaw off made him think "oh shit peter was holding back all these years". Granted it's not entirely consistent (Surprising I know
) and it should also be noted that scorpions jaw is one of the few parts of his body that isn't armored so he's more vulnerable to hits there than the rest of his body, something ock brings up to himself after punching it off.
