DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

They're not pulling their punches this time around, huh? Kyle's already got a decent amount of hax under his belt, Speed Force scaling, and 11th/above dimensional scaling....as just a Green Lantern.

I tremble with anticipation at what sort of nutty shit they have in store for Kyle when they get to White Lantern and Life Equation shenanigans.

Huh, wonder why they're putting all their cards on the table
It couldn't possibly be because of a super infamous episode they referenced in the first 30 seconds, that they don't wanna repeat

Infamous or not, Ben vs Hal is still accurate to this day and if there was a rematch done today then the results would still be the same but even more in Hal's favor

Even if BenHal is still accurate, that ep still kinda did bad mistake in research. Theyll never live that down.

If they redid it today, ig theyd be speed equal. But then Alien X would be weaker, doesnt have hax that affects Hal and doesnt resist Hal's hax.

His base already Infinity+1'd Simon's most direct and conservative scaling. Granted he can get a lot higher, but so can Kyle.

Weird question, but if another character's story canonicaly exists in his opponents setting and said opponent already read it, would it give them prior knowledge in a death battle?
I think so? They talked about this in the Rick VS The Doctor episode and mentioned that, although Rick referenced Doctor Who before, there's no proof he actually watched it or knows any specifics about The Doctor, implying they would somehow consider if the any of the combatants had actually watched their opponent's show

Although, i doubt they would take this "prior knowledge" as a significant factor

Didn't they also mention this In bill vs Discord

Legit how legit is the 12.3 big bang shit @Emirp sumitpo
the cosmology is legit. In fact I am surprised I overlooked it. We knew DC was vaguely "above 11-D" but I never noticed the scan that said it was also the one that confirmed 12 1/3 dimensional. It's also the same storyline as Kyle absorbing Imperiex's leaking energies

Here's the catch:
  1. Kyle wasn't a base Green Lantern there. This was Post-Circle of Fire Kyle Rayner, he was in the process of becoming Ion. This wasn't a base Green Lantern. Kyle later relinquished all of Ion's power to recharge the central battery.
  2. Kyle never absorbed the Big Bang. The fact Death Battle still pulls this minformation so many years now is baffling. He held back a portion of the leaking energy of Imperiex, which at that point was still just the collected energy of several destroyed galaxies. It was only by a later chain reaction that made Imperiex Big Bang level.
They're going to put in the black boxes that although there are arguments for 20D Simon, DC has been stated many times to be infinite dimensional.
They will have to be very dishonest. There has only ever been statements that there are "infinite dimensions" as in pocket dimensions/parallel dimensions as far as I'm aware.

When infinite dimensions is stated, can it mean infinite dimensionality or infinite universes?
Dimensional brainrot is tiring, but I personally feel that if dimensions are mentioned, it has to be clear that it means dimensions as in space-time axes to count. n dimensional, "n dimensions of space-time," etc work.

"Infinite dimensions" on its own more likely than not means parallel dimensions as that's what people usually think it means if they have not taken vs debating brainrot.

Being fair, if you take the novelizations as well, Simon gets a statement from the narrator as having power "beyond dimensions and time."

At max wank, you can take that all the way to High 1-B+ to maybe even 1-A territory.
