I think they are indeed going the route of Garou being controlled by God and he just hasn't realized it yet. The story by itself is interesting but I do wish we could get more of a focus on Garou as the antagonist

meh, highly debatable. There are hundreds of characters in fiction that just know exactly when there's an amount of energy that will 100% destroy the planet, even if they have no reason to know such a thing. It will even sometimes happen with characters that don't really have that good of sensing. It's just kinda a thing that happens

Yeah it's basically confirmed that God is influencing Garou's actions, but not outright controlling them like possession. But it's implied that if Garou fully accepted the deal, it would've been complete control.

Of course, this means God has mind manipulation.

Garou sure does, Blast however I feel he isn't quite thaaaat haxed, although high for OPM standards, that doesn't mean he is for other far better haxed verses

Anyway, Blast was indeed holding back, he main concern was collateral damage. Awesome that Blast's hype still is up then

Most likely under God's Influence. I meant having a story where Garou is the true antagonist, and not an avatar of God

Not that amazing, but decent for sure. The best hax in the series so far is Garou's new power mimicry, but even that would only be a mid-tier or high-tier hax in some of those verses.

His radiation hax is better than soul crush because we have an actual solid number for the hax level.

Garou doesn't work as an antagonist in the manga. He's not ruthless enough on his own to really be one.

Hard to say if this refers to actual reality manipulation, as we define it, or not, let alone if it could be classified as such.

You don't have to be ruthless or even evil to be an antagonist, you just need to offer something narratively while opposing the main character

Garou was always built like a protagonist in this arc to me with how much more screentime he got compared to WC; always felt like it was leading to him falling harder than he ever did in the WC

so the people bitching about how garou suddenly became super evil can quiet down now since it has been confirmed that this is a majin vegeta type situation where God giving Garou power also ****** his personality up, not to the point where he's entirely a mindless avatar of God, but just became a very evil version of the Garou we've known. also, it seems that Garou only received a portion of the power that God was offering, so Garou could have been even more powerful. interesting. Lastly, wanted to point out that Saitama's rage face (blacked out with glowing eyes) looks ******* badass
