So I'm going through Season 1 of Death Battle again, and I just rewatched TMNT Battle Royale. I remember enjoying it a lot more the first time, but it really didn't click with me. Michaelangelo's whole analysis was annoying, and Wiz's need to diss on the TMNT film felt out of place.

What're you guy's thoughts on that one?
like most of S1 it didn't age well and doesn't have much Value
only like 5 or 6 episodes from that season have any replay value

Going by memory, but honestly the harsher humor of BS seems like it was funnier, or at least way snappier. Some jokes nowadays take a bit too much on ep.

With that said, Mikey got absolutely eviscerated in analysis, holy shit. Still think it was kinda funny, but man if we'd care about representation back then it'd be a whole different story lol

To be fair they did a notably terrible job with Ben 10 compared to Saitama.

I know a lot of people don't like the episode and it's a very flawed fight, but I really like Kenshiro vs Jotaro largely because I really like Kenshiro and FOTNS. Really fun fight with good music and some cool moments, even as someone who actively doesn't really like Jojo, it was enjoyable in spite of flaws imo.

The mention of "Final Spark" without even a nod was soul rending.

Ahhhhh that'd kinda be boring cause typically fights of a character than directly inspired another usually aren't the most interesting (there are exceptions though!) but I'd gladly take Marisa shitstomping someone on DB ngl.

Oh god please don't do ******* Mario vs Kirby I really dislike that MU.

At least it's an incredibly solid Kirby win though, I see absolutely no method for Mario to win, especially after Star Allies and Forgotten Land.
I can get Star Allies but Forgotten Land hasn't added much if you've kept up with the discussion thread

You mean Nero Angelo (Devil May Cry) vs Hellboy (Dark Horse Comics) right?
Can be another Halloween episode, or... Just an episode already.

Meanwhile, we may need 1 or even 2 out of the followings for a Halloween episode this season:
  • Buffy Summers vs Blade
  • Alucard (Castlevania) vs D (Vampire Hunter D)
  • Nemesis (Resident Evil) vs Pyramid Head (Silent Hill) or Magician (House of the Dead)
  • Cervantes (Soul Calibur) vs Spinal (Killer Instinct)
  • King Boo vs Gengar
  • Walpurgisnacht vs Night of Wallachia
  • Aya Brea vs Jill Valentine

Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna is publicly known as the next MU so yeah.

How close can that be wink
Or are they finally tapping into the realms of dimension scaling and passive hax wink

Yes Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna is possibly the biggest fish if you count in the attack potency alone.
i'd kill for Michael vs Jason as a liveaction gorefest

I can see that. Honestly, going through Season 1, there aren't a lot of AWEFUL episodes, just really bland and meh ones.

I don't know how to feel about Link vs Cloud though. They nerfed Cloud to hell, but since they weren't scaling back then I doubt Cloud was going to win anyways. The models for the fight are hard to look at, but the choreography isn't actually that bad.

You thought you were playing Bio Hazard Resident Evil as Kirby but it was I, Shadow the Hedgehog as Kirby.

Anyone loves the new story? And what about the bosses? How does that Archie Sonic appeal to you?
Talking about Kirby and the Forgotten Land?

******* loved it so far, my favorite game of the year.

In terms of versus I don't think it'll have any major tier changes? Possibly cosmology changes which could LEAD to tier changes but there's definitely a lot of hax and resistances that could be added now. Kirby has time manip now, and one of the main villains has planet-wide mind control (which Meta Knight and possibly Kirby are capable of resisting), soul manipulation & soul bfr, and possible low-mid godly regen that characters like Morpho Knight could completely negate so there's definitely some interesting shit for the verse now.

If nobody else puts together a CRT for new additions, I might!

I haven't checked the discussion thread actually, I was just going off of my own experience while playing it. Kirby basically only gets some new haxxes/resistences from that game I think, but if anything they're just more helpful to securing a win.

1. If Scarlet Witch is given her full abilities (although I doubt DB will do it properly), she's gonna flatten Zatanna.

2. Anyone see the Kirby vs Mario livestream? The fact that they ignored Kirby's possession immunity (even though one guy in the chat thread even pointed it out) was outrageous enough for me to just stop watching.
I know Kirby has possession resistances out the ass, but what's his possession immunity, that's a lot harder to qualify for? It's not listed on his profile either, though he really should have possession resistance for sure.

I'd say bout 350
US$350 only?
I mean, we know that a Werewolf Therewolf song costs ~US$300 and so are the Brandon Yates song.
We need to pay some time (and potentially cost) of research, sone cost and time to actually write the script, to hire the animators, to hire the after effects team, and then some other admin costs.

DB Cast debates are really bad and I fear they use the worst shit from those in real eps.
Death Battle Cast Unscripted Community Death Battle debates are meant to be bad.

And worse still, one debate can be just flooded into the ocean even if the arguing points can be interesting inspiring or even verdict changing/setting.

Well you may ask if the upgrades are valid here.

I think it comes from that game where you throw hearts at people?
IG maybe from the situation where almost everyone got corrupted by the corruption of the Jamba Heart and only Kirby was unaffected (only got physically hurt by such but not get possessed or mind controlled)?

latest

Where does Kirby's possession resistance comes from again?
-In Forgotten Land, the final boss is constantly emitting a Planet-Wide mind-control/possession effect that's mind-controlling/possessing everyone on the planet, it's how Dedede became possessed alongside every enemy in the game. Meta Knight is specifically stated to have overpowered the effect through sheer willpower and Kirby never at any point succumbs to it.
-At no point in the Dark Matter trilogy was Dark Matter ever able to possess Kirby, a species who's entire shtick and main ability is assimilation by wide-scale possession
-He's unaffected by Dark Hearts in Star Allies, which passively corrupts/possesses anyone who it is near/makes contact with
-He has option equipment that specifically negates/prevents possession such as the Love Love Stick or Crystal Shard/Crystal Gun

Possible stretch:
-In Forgotten Land, when hit by Morpho Knight's wave attack, which normally possesses teammates in Star Allies, he simply just has his perspective warped, and he's only damaged by it in Star Allies (edited)

my only photoshop job.. for my most wanted MU at the moment.
this... oh judge vs sans I can take either lol
well it's time to give the connections between the two....

please note that this may contain spoilers for both games.

both are protagonists of a blond-haired gacha game that are respective knights of a kingdom, both have a counterpart of opposite gender that is canonical in their story, both carry with them a small companion that accompanies them in their adventure and are there to help them (paimon and the little princess).... both having to find a respective group to help him in his adventure (in the case of the traveler it would be the seven to help him find his brother, while the guardian requires a group of 13 champions to defeat the invaders).. also having to constantly deal with an antagonistic group (the invaders/the order of the abyss and the fatui).

-both curiously begin their story with the appearance of an antagonist that defeats him and forces him to have to start his quest to find what they are looking for.. both have an encounter with their opposite gender counterpart that is related to each other.. and that curiously has a completely different vision from the one we had before... besides that they are biologically related to the protagonist (this may be a bit of a spoiler and more for the guardian story) both have the ability to occupy multiple abilities (in the case of the guardian, to occupy from rifles, bows, two handed sword, one handed sword, being their respective free weapon able to change to some of these elements, while the traveler can control various elements from geo, anemo and electro)....

curiously both games had some drama that made their rankings go down in the playstore lol

The respective stories of both are not yet finished so perhaps the mu will be more thematic.

RE: Tanjiro vs Jonathan

Are there arguments for Jonathan NOT having such a speed advantage? It really sucks because without the huge speed advantage, the fight is super close and debatable, but nah it's "LOL SPEEDBLITZ GG"

but considering how crazy they put DIO's speed at last year I don't see them not honoring similar speed stats.

I want my boy Tanjiro to somehow keep up with Jonathan, give him a big scare, the boy just doesn't quit.
