If they did use Pre Crisis, then it would means that Hal would be Universal+, putting him on the same level of Alien X, if that the case then Ben losing would be more than justified.
After all, Alien X was the only true trump card that Ben had again Hal, as any other aliens lack of the same AP/Dura and Speed necessary for survive even for a few minutes and their haxes aren't OP enough to trully fill the gap in raw power and physical stats.
But with the addition of Pre Crisis feats and scaling, both Hal and Alien X would end up be on the same level of power, meaning his Ben's trump card would no longer consent a certain victory.
Even with you want to argue that Alien X's stats are still higher than Hal, it wouldn't be a very big gap, while Hal would still hold more advantages due of his superior versatility, hax, combat skills and combat experience.

Ah. But anyway, unless they come up with some BS that Personas can be seen by ordinary people, Weiss is screwed. They'll probably come up with some argument like "Personas = your soul, and Auras = your soul, and since Weiss can see Auras (you can't unless they activate or break), Weiss can see her Persona"

DBX and OMM are meant not to be "fictionally accurate" but Death Battle is. So things cannot be compared this way. Well even Cell vs Meruem and Goku vs Saitama are not fictionally accurate.

But I can smell small building level Mitsuru already.

^ what I mean: Many obscure or lesser known characters are ridiculously strong. Many ACGN fans are just not having time to truly understand how strong they really are. (For instance it is normal for some people to not know the power of Touhou Project verse without going deep into it.)
