Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

I am worthless cowards idgaf
You will never know the true joy of accelerating just right in just the right position to perfectly trickshot the ball into the goal, setting off dopamine receptors your brain had left dormant your entire life.

I'll stick to 2K and Dragon Ball FighterZ magic man.

No idea why there'd be a problem, I'm just saying still playing a series that's basically the same game every entry with better graphics is crazy.

You do you tho dawg, that's just my opinion. 🔥
I mean if you see it as the same game that's fine. The system mechanics change a lot every year in my opinion though. To the point that the dribbling, finishing, and even shooting feel distinct in every year.

2K isn't even abhorrently bad or even that bad at all, it's just weird for it to be one of your main game choices. Which is kinda true for most sports games, in my opinion.

It isn't. Right now it's probably Brawlhalla, MHUR (don't laugh), or Xenoverse 2. 2K is just the game I have the most collective hours on. And DBFZ is likely the game I'm the best at.

Mfs gave up on the 2k franchise once 2k18 dropped. That shit was awful.
That's the narrative YouTubers sell you. Look at 2k19 and 2k20 sales in comparison to 2k15 & 16. 2k20 you can maybe make the quarantine argument but 19 had no such help.
Also WWE 2K20 dropped and was 10x worse so hush.

I'm not gonna lie. The us boss music for sonic CD still scares the shit outta me. And I usually don't fear anything.

I disagree

After scouring the internet I've learned a thing that was so simple that I never actually figured it out myself.
So critics suck because they either get paid off to overrate a series or spout opinions that are so dumb you'll actually laugh when you read them. But the audience ratings suck as well because they are easily botted and manipulated, review-bombed or are rated in a way that makes you wonder if a 5 year old made the review.

Then I head of a simple solution - chose a critic, one or maybe a few, that most commonly have a similar opinion to your own and follow their reviews to see whether a movie or game is good or bad. It's such a basic solution that I somehow missed.

Says a lot about Rotten tomatoes these days

Is it weird that I'm a lot more critical of shows that are often praised, but I tend to refrain from criticism when it comes to shows that aren't praised by the public?

I'm like that myself, as I do praise a lot of media that the majority seems to objectively dislike collectively
