How likely is immeasurable Touhou?
I have ben participating in some arguments lately (outside of vsb, ofc)
and I'm not afraid to bring up Sakuya's knives or Marisa's laser.
But in the end if it DOES get rejected I gotta move to a different solar system out of shame.

Immeasurable attack speed and reaction speed for some characters holds some weight imho. Deflation World’s knives and Marisa’s laser statements are pretty solid. I wouldn’t argue Immeasurable travel speed for anyone besides Sakuya when using the spell card that lets her move through time though.

At the very least if they can avoid getting tapped by immeasurable characters that's good enough.
Shouldn't Aya scale to Sakuya though?

Nah, Sakuya’s immeasurable travel speed is only achieved through a specific spellcard that causes her to move through time. It’s not her regular speed and not something Aya should innately scale to.

Aya WOULD upscale to the immeasurable reactions though
 
People are saying that ZUN changed Marisa's eye color to red in the new game just because he felt like it, much like how he changed her to be a blonde when she was previously red-haired. I like to headcanon that the reason her eyes are suddenly red is because she became the strongest magician (Since her new title in 19 is apparently Strongest Primate Magician) , so it's like how Sakuya's eyes become red when manipulating time since she kinda has a mastery over it.

I hope there is a canon explanation or something in thouhou 19 because Last game she had red eyes and a different shade of hair for absolutely no reason and it was never explained. It happened without any reason and no character even addressed it.

That was a very big disappointment.

Ok but what other changes makes the characters change eye colors and hair colors drastically for no reason? Only in Touhou.
I mean, Jojo does something similar but it's just for the dramatic JoJo color change effects, nothing permanent.

I also saw a theory when 18.5 was announced that Marisa was possessed by a fox youkai and I liked it a lot. I hate that my headcanon isn't canon smh. If it had a reason, any reason, it would have been cooler.

Tbh color changes in this series are common as hell. Sanae’s eye colors have changed several times, Reimu’s hair bounced between brown and black for a while, several characters have frequent minor inconsistencies and such

Marisa suddenly having red eyes for a couple games isn’t too weird, wouldn’t be surprised if they go back to the regular gold/amber soon.

We’re honestly hella over assuming stuff about one guy who probably was just playing around with colors or didn’t even think about how he used the wrong color or something.

I honestly don’t even want some weird explanation for it lol.

if all the fanons I have seen for the eye color change, I do like this one the most. Her eyes turning red from utilizing her full power is a cool idea.

would look raw when combined with my hc of her Seihou wings form being essentially a super state for her
 
ZUN should slowly reveal the characters. Reveal one character every certain period of time (every week, biweekly or every month)

Cuz that would be hype as ****.

Also election date is nearing in my country (arguably the most important one in a long time help)
I wanted to ask who is the most politics 2hu (preferably a god)?
Keep the religious leaders out of this when choosing and compare the leaders with your choice.

What do you mean by "most politics"? Because Touhou is a very political series, though my two picks would be Hecatia (her whole speech to Aya in AFiEU is literally just several paragraphs of anti-nationalist, pro-immigration writing that also states that fascist empires are slowly rotting from the inside and their insular nature will only condemn them to stagnation and death) or Toutetsu (with her being the leader of the eagle spirits, dressed in red white and blue, who seeks total control over all petroleum).

now that i write that out, it's pretty clear hecatia wins :v

By that I meant to ask who is the best candidate to represent politics, or who would be the closest character we have to a politician. Anything would work really, I'm leaving it vague.
Hecatia is a satisfying answer (it also goes well with Okina 👉👈) but if we include the religious leaders, would your stance change?

Mm, not really. The religious leaders do have some interesting political implications attached, but their role is moreso that of exploring the different religious idealogies in Gensokyo than anything. Stuff like Kanako's ongoing nuclear energy plan or Miko volunteering to lead the human village (only to get shot down by the fact that, by design, Gensokyo does not and should not have organized leaders who make all the rules) are interesting, but nothing beats Hecatia in terms of political messages.

I just noticed that parody attempt. I will definitely bump Yuuma a few steps up in my mental tierlist of Touhou characters. Nyehehe.
That and parodies stop working if the people that are parodied like the parody more than they dislike it. Or if the meaning of the parody gets lost or ignored.
 
Fujiwara, I feel like you're discounting Miko herself a bit there, as she is arguably built around politics in her entirety; she's in Gensokyo due to her political ambitions, their discovery, and the fallout connected to them, and she's also the other side of the AFiEU coin. And she's not exactly subtle in the latter role.


Also, new CDS chapter out and we have what might be a new power for someone. It could also not be, we're going to need to learn more, but suffice to say that Marisa and Aya got caught in an illusion or barrier of some sort, so the question becomes whether Reimu did it to keep them safe (no new power), Mika did it using the power of the person she was currently possessing (Byakuren gets barrier feats), Mika did it using the power of a person she had previously possessed (she possessed Yukari, and this'd give her the ability to do border manips (along with 45 other different powers)), or this is a power Mika has herself (giving more evidence to the theory that she was a former Hakurei Shrine Maiden? ...is she the 4th sage of Gensokyo?)
 
Oh, I don't deny Miko is a political figure. The thing is, her political ambitions in Gensokyo itself start and end in like, the same section of SoPM. She tries to prop herself up as a potential leader for the human village, which is promptly shut down and never brought up again. Her being in AFiEU isn't much to go off of, since that's not really Miko's fault and is just Aya straight up lying about her.

Haven't read the new CDS chapter yet but based on what I've heard, there's no way Mizuchi isn't a former Hakurei Shrine Maiden.
 
Mizuchi being the 4th Sage will be mindblowing, tho i prefer if Mizumaru is confirmed to be the 4th Sage instead lel

You started with Double Spoiler? That's not exactly one I'd recommend. The Photography games, at least the two that star Aya, are not exactly what I'd call beginner friendly. They're designed around the fact that retrying is quick and easy, and the ability to take pictures to make safe zones, so the patterns there are oftentimes much harder than the standard games, especially later levels.
