Star Wars Discussion Thread Canon/Legends- Episode V Attack of the Fanons

Just got done with the final episode and even though I think the show could've been far better the ending was great all the way through.

Also I think Obi-Wan can get a new key for when he was disconnected from the force from episode 1-3

Well he seemed to be a mildly competent fighter before he started to reconnect with the Force for the first time in Episode 2, but not good enough to overpower a large group of thugs. After he started to briefly reconnect he was able to barely hold his own against Vader.

Is this good evidence that Vader didn't really get weakened by Mustafar, or is it evidence that he was much more weakened than we suspected?

Since he's disconnected from the force he can be Street level physically, Small Building level with blasters and Multi-City Block level with his lightsaber, but with none of his force abilities

He said that Obi-Wan had regained his strength in the last episode and Vader still lost so I'm not sure (at the same time Obi-Wan only started winning after being inspired by Luke and Leia)

I think that's good evidence of Vader losing very little strength after Mustafar, then. But it puts the Lords of the Sith quote into question.

Looking at all the Star Wars profiles many could use reworks or even profile splits like Luke's. I've been working on a Canon Luke Skywalker profile rework but maybe other profiles should get this treatment, thoughts?
(Also most of my work has been spent on his renders so far but I'm planning on doing an ability split as well, I think there'd be people here more familiar with Lukes abilities that are shown outside of the movies than I am though so some help would be appreciated if anyones interested)

We're planning a huge CRT with stuff like that.

I could add you to our convo, especially if you're interested in Legends.
Yeah I'd be interested to join the convo but I'm only knowledgeable in the new canon, I got into Star Wars after the Disney buyout so I know basically nothing when it comes to Legends, I'd be down to help with profile reworks and renders though

If we take that literally and Obi-Wan was only restored to Mustafar levels though doesn't that mean Vader at this point is still weaker than his Mustafar self?

My personal Kenobi episodes tier list
S: EP 6, EP 5

A: EP 2, EP 3

B: EP 1, EP 4

Overall series Tier: A

I actually pretty enjoyed Episode 1 because that was the vibe I personally wanted: A slow-paced character-focused story of a broken Obi-Wan in the dessert. For the later ones, even the episodes with cool stuff like Vader vs Obi-Wan, had plot issues and felt cheap to me.

Overall I can't lie it was kind of a disappointment. It didn't justify its existence, spent a lot of time on subplots and Inquisitors, and didn't give me the character exploration of Obi-Wan and Anakin I wanted. Even the coolest moments were kinda ripped off from Rebels.

Started watching Kenobi.

The Grand Inquisitor has the voice, but the appearance is just oof. He's just white and skinny Homer Sithson.

this is a little old but what do you guys think of the lego version of cloud city?

you guys have any lego star wars sets?

I watched all of Kenobi.

It's decent, but filled with cheap costuming (particularly Fifth Brother, who went from Latino Megatron to Asian Shrek) and plot convenience.

Vader's voice here is better than Rogue One, imo.

Overall, I'd say it's good if you (like me) didn't keep your expectations too high. Doesn't really have the energy of something like The Mandalorian and (to a lesser extent) The Book of Boba Fett.

Also, I'm glad this series has conclusively done away with this myth of 9-B Force users in live action.

At least it's not a CW show.

I'd argue a show about legacy characters like Obi-Wan and Anakin should have high expectations though. Which is why it was quite disappointing for me. Wouldn't say it's as bad as Boba Fett though, as Boba Fett barely had a plot.

Didn't say no high expectations, just not too high.

Some people hate on shows for simply not corresponding to their fan theories.
