“Someone else…? Do the soldiers not know about this?” David asked, looking at the old man."Ho Ho, if I wanted you gone you'd be gone, boyo." They walked through a metal corridor, made of the same material that the cell was made out of. Only David was taken with The Old Man.
"But somebody else barring me needs to know."
(Speaking of roleplays, I have one to do right now.)“Someone else…? Do the soldiers not know about this?” David asked, looking at the old man.
“…what…what the hell are you going to show me?” David asked, feeling increasingly uneasy
"That's correct, boyo." The Old Man said, "The people are spreading rumors that we kill the sick, and they're right. We do kill the sick. We kill these things." On the screen, dozens of soldiers ran into the room, holding large guns.“W-what….?” David said, looking at the creature. Disgust and horror filled his body.
“this was a…person?”
"And so you didn't trust me not to commit ******* manslaughter?" Rory said, clearly offended.“Oh…” David said, somewhat awkwardly.
“I figured…that since Belial and Kiara were captured, you would…uh…be really, really mad. And…since you’ve killed people in the past…I figured….” David trailed off.
“…..sorry for doubting you…” he said finally.
(OK.)(Alright, I think it's about time for another Zonolo post.)
“Not…not really” David said honestly, shame and embarrassment evident in his voice."And so you didn't trust me not to commit ******* manslaughter?" Rory said, clearly offended.
"**** you, David. I'm... I'm not a monster." Rory said before turning to The Director, "And you! Where. Are. My Son. And wife!" The Director chuckled, "In a safe jail cell. They tried to steal information from the government." Rory tilted her head.“Not…not really” David said honestly, shame and embarrassment evident in his voice.
“I’m sorry…I should have, uh trusted you to restrain yourself.” David said quietly.
Zonolo and his allies stood defiantly, forcing themselves to grow stronger to combat Hel in tandem with their natural ability to do so. They fought with everything they had to keep Hel away from that forge.(Well, I'm gonna make a Zonolo post rq)
"Well then, if you're certain..." Surtr said, some uneasiness still in his voice as he raised Elderstahl. He didn't know whether to be confident in the group he had faced for almost two entire years, or nervous that they had brought on a death wish for themselves.
The group of them rushed Hel, who was not in the mood for such a battle. She proceeded to parry their strikes with nothing more than a vague expression as she walked past them and toward Surtr's forge.
"Wait a second, what's she doing?" Surtr asked, "Why's she headed toward my forge?"
"I dunno, but that doesn't even sound good..." Zonolo said, exerting himself even more as his blades clashed with her hand, making an effort to push her back. At most, he was slightly slowing her down. Surtr then launched a slash of his own, attempting to help Zonolo to push her back. Boros appeared on her right, launching a punch, only for his strike to be caught by her hand. Mira came from behind, attempting a slash with his blade, only for Hel to kick up her battleaxe to block the swing. Then, Yamato, bursting at full speed, launched a powerful kanabo swing that connected with the face of the Goddess of Death. From there, she swung the kanabo relentlessly as the others exerted themselves with all their might to try and push her back.
However, the swings, and all the pushback weren't pushing back nearly as well as they attempted to, and the swings themselves didn't even faze Hel or make her flinch or slow up.
"Off," Hel said, her mere speech blowing them all back. She continued to walk toward the forge making her way inside.
The group of them all sprung toward her, only to be forced away by the gust of air from her waving her hand in dismissal.
"I thought you wanted us to perish..." Zonolo said.
"You shall, but there is a reckoning that awaits others as well...." Hel said, "And I desire a weapon that shall suffice in allowing me to enact retribution for the headaches and misery they have given me..."
They all rush toward the entrance of the forge, preparing to guard it from Hel. Granted, they would need a lot more power if they expected to truly hold her off, but they needed to do the best they could.
"If you get out of my way now and do me the pleasure of not killing another soul, I'll have no need of ensuring your deaths..." Hel said, "But, clearly you've already chosen foolishly to stand in my way, and you'll receive the due recompense..."
Hel went from casually walking to pushing her foot off the ground and rushing toward them. The battle between the Goddess of Death and her opposition was now just beginning.
