Ragnarök-RP Thread

"You're not going with him?" Towa thought to Masayoshi.

"No, I could always get the information from him later, or use a lot of trial and error to determine what was most likely said..." Masayoshi answered telepathically, "Though, you could always use your telepathy to get an idea of what's being said...."

"Ho Ho, if I wanted you gone you'd be gone, boyo." They walked through a metal corridor, made of the same material that the cell was made out of. Only David was taken with The Old Man.

"But somebody else barring me needs to know."
“Someone else…? Do the soldiers not know about this?” David asked, looking at the old man.

“…what…what the hell are you going to show me?” David asked, feeling increasingly uneasy

(Speaking of roleplays, I have one to do right now.)

"Take a look." The Old Man led King Tiger further into the heavily armed facility, the air getting thinner as they entered the deepest and darkest layers of the facility, The Old Man's face contorting in disgust.

They soon stood before a large screen, over 20 meters long and 15 meters wide. "You may want to cover your mouth if what you see shakes you up..." The Old Man said, picking up a TV remote that turned on the screen.

"This is the result of the disease."

"That is one of the patients the medical department failed to treat along with a few of their friends..."

“W-what….?” David said, looking at the creature. Disgust and horror filled his body.

“this was a…person?”
"That's correct, boyo." The Old Man said, "The people are spreading rumors that we kill the sick, and they're right. We do kill the sick. We kill these things." On the screen, dozens of soldiers ran into the room, holding large guns.

In an instant, they began to shoot down the beasts, mowing them down into a paste from the sheer amount of bullets that the soldiers had used. "My name isn't important, call me The Director or Old Man if you want." The Director said.

"Those we can't save, we kill, but for them, it's probably a mercy..."

"A lot of research has been done." The Director said, stroking his beard. "It's a lot of factors that determine how fast the mutation happens. Our current treatment only slows it down, after all. It usually depends on willpower and mental state. Is this friend of yours happy?" He asked.

"Once again, sentence comprehension. It still happens, it just can be slowed down significantly depending on various factors such as one's mental state." The Director said. "But the most important question is... Has anyone else you know been in contact with an infected or close to one...?"

“Oh…”

“Uh one of the people I’m with, Belial, and myself, spent a uh, long period of time with her while she was sick…while we were traveling here…”

“I also touched someone who was infected after they broke into my house…”

“One of my friends…uh…had sex with her, after she got treated….I think.” David said.

“…are they in danger?!” David said, panic in his voice.

"If you had contact with her for such a long time, then the possibility that you two are infected is quite high, ho ho ho..." The Director said, his voice a bit deeper. "You shouldn't worry too much about when your friend was treated, it's harder to contaminate someone else when you're treated. But you said you touched a sick man when he broke into your house as well...?"

“Yeah…before he killed himself…I tried to pick him up so I could carry him to a hospital or something.”

“If me and Belial could be infected…. Then Belial needs to get treated, quickly!” David said, processing the information.

“The kids been in a bad mental state for…a long time! If the mutation occurs faster with negative emotions, then he could be in a lot of danger…” David said.

“I mean…” David said, scratching his head

“He did seem in a better mood…after talking to Kiara, the girl with the belt. And he did get to spend some time with his mom…” David said, thinking.

“But still…I’m just kinda..worried about him ya know?”

thinking of Rory suddenly made David realize something.

“Director…Belial mom…is really powerful. And…might come to this facility to…rescue her son. I’m going to warn you now. If she comes. Please don’t try to fight her.” David said, looking the man in the eye.

“Let her see her son if she comes.”

"Well, if she decides to keep going straight I'm sure she'll end up in the cells. That depends on how fast she moves though since the floors are quite slippery, she can burst through the door leading to this room if she goes too fast-" The Director was interrupted by an extremely loud smashing noise.

"I'm sure I'll be fine either way."

“Director, you have her son and girlfriend locked up in a cell. She has no idea what’s going on. All she knows is that two of the closest people in her life are missing. I’m not going to defend what she’s doing. And I don’t like that it’s happening. But I know why she’s angry. I’d feel the same way if my wife went missing” David said.

“if you aren’t gonna call your soldiers off, I’m going to her myself. If I can tell her their ok, maybe she won’t do anything else” David said.

he looked towards where the sounds of smashing where come from, and charged towards them. Intent on intercepting her.

"Ho Ho Ho, that won't be necessary. Watch." The sound got even closer until it was like it was right next to your ear, "It'll be fine." The door burst open as Rory twisted her body, easily dodging King Tiger and dashing towards The Director.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY BABY!??!"

The Director stroked his beard as she dashed towards him, holding her Goddess Cleaver, ready to stab him. "See? She has not even a lick or the smell of blood on her." The Director easily dodged, raising his hand into the air.

"The girl killed nobody in her assault." He swiftly struck her on the neck, "Agk!-" Rory fell to the ground, slamming into the wall. "The workings of the child reflect the teachings of the parent, after all. The boy is no indiscriminate killer, I didn't think she would be either." The Director chuckled.

"Ow... What the hell, man!? Why'd you kidnap my son and wife? WHY DO PEOPLE THINK I MURDERED A BUNCH OF GUYS?!"

“Oh…” David said, somewhat awkwardly.

“I figured…that since Belial and Kiara were captured, you would…uh…be really, really mad. And…since you’ve killed people in the past…I figured….” David trailed off.

“…..sorry for doubting you…” he said finally.
"And so you didn't trust me not to commit ******* manslaughter?" Rory said, clearly offended.
(Alright, I think it's about time for another Zonolo post.)
(OK.)

“Not…not really” David said honestly, shame and embarrassment evident in his voice.

“I’m sorry…I should have, uh trusted you to restrain yourself.” David said quietly.
"**** you, David. I'm... I'm not a monster." Rory said before turning to The Director, "And you! Where. Are. My Son. And wife!" The Director chuckled, "In a safe jail cell. They tried to steal information from the government." Rory tilted her head.

"So... You didn't kidnap them...?" He shook his head, "Nope! They just tried to commit a crime and were apprehended based on the relevant legal procedures! You're son and wife are felons." Rory tilted her head in confusion.

"...And I was not informed of this because...?" She turned to David.

David glanced at her, before quickly looking at the ground

“you said you didn’t want Belial to get involved. With the whole infiltration of the government thing.”

“but uh…he decided to help anyway”

“so…i figured that Belial and Masayoshi plan would work out, and we wouldn’t need to tell you about it…” David said nervously.

“Belial is fine though!” He said quickly.

“he’s with Kiara In the cell the old man was talking about. She was talking to him, and he seemed alright!”

Rory sighed, leaning against the wall of the room. "My son is okay... My wife is okay..." She repeated that to herself for a few seconds, as if she was still having a small panic attack.

"I'm going to get my son. If you ever pull something like this with my kid again without consulting me, I'm feeding you your balls." She said coldly. She then turned to The Director, "I want you to tell us everything, not just to King Tiger." The Director stroked his beard.

"Of course." He said nonchalantly.

(Well, I'm gonna make a Zonolo post rq)

"Well then, if you're certain..." Surtr said, some uneasiness still in his voice as he raised Elderstahl. He didn't know whether to be confident in the group he had faced for almost two entire years, or nervous that they had brought on a death wish for themselves.

The group of them rushed Hel, who was not in the mood for such a battle. She proceeded to parry their strikes with nothing more than a vague expression as she walked past them and toward Surtr's forge.

"Wait a second, what's she doing?" Surtr asked, "Why's she headed toward my forge?"

"I dunno, but that doesn't even sound good..." Zonolo said, exerting himself even more as his blades clashed with her hand, making an effort to push her back. At most, he was slightly slowing her down. Surtr then launched a slash of his own, attempting to help Zonolo to push her back. Boros appeared on her right, launching a punch, only for his strike to be caught by her hand. Mira came from behind, attempting a slash with his blade, only for Hel to kick up her battleaxe to block the swing. Then, Yamato, bursting at full speed, launched a powerful kanabo swing that connected with the face of the Goddess of Death. From there, she swung the kanabo relentlessly as the others exerted themselves with all their might to try and push her back.

However, the swings, and all the pushback weren't pushing back nearly as well as they attempted to, and the swings themselves didn't even faze Hel or make her flinch or slow up.

"Off," Hel said, her mere speech blowing them all back. She continued to walk toward the forge making her way inside.

The group of them all sprung toward her, only to be forced away by the gust of air from her waving her hand in dismissal.

"I thought you wanted us to perish..." Zonolo said.

"You shall, but there is a reckoning that awaits others as well...." Hel said, "And I desire a weapon that shall suffice in allowing me to enact retribution for the headaches and misery they have given me..."

They all rush toward the entrance of the forge, preparing to guard it from Hel. Granted, they would need a lot more power if they expected to truly hold her off, but they needed to do the best they could.

"If you get out of my way now and do me the pleasure of not killing another soul, I'll have no need of ensuring your deaths..." Hel said, "But, clearly you've already chosen foolishly to stand in my way, and you'll receive the due recompense..."

Hel went from casually walking to pushing her foot off the ground and rushing toward them. The battle between the Goddess of Death and her opposition was now just beginning.
Zonolo and his allies stood defiantly, forcing themselves to grow stronger to combat Hel in tandem with their natural ability to do so. They fought with everything they had to keep Hel away from that forge.

Zonolo and Surtr engaged in an aggressive rush of clashes with her, slightly pushing her back with each blow. However, it wasn't damaging her in the slightest, nor was it the amount of pushback they wanted. Surtr used his full power in a slash from Elderstahl, which Hel parried with her axe. As this happened, Zonolo ducked down, sweeping her legs. Contrary to what they thought would be the outcome, it actually succeeded due to her being unprepared for such a strike. Zonolo lept up, preparing to attack Hel from above, only to be backhanded away. As this happened, a Mira infused with the power of countless duplicates held Hel in place, as Boros and Yamato came down at full strength to launch a powerful attack. The blow left a massive crater from its impact, kicking up massive amounts of dust, sulfur and ash.

When the smoke cleared, Hel was unfazed. Wielding her axe, she made a simple, nonchalant swing, blowing all of them back once more.

"I will kill you if you don't get out of my way..." Hel said once more, "Do not take my mercy lightly. Your lives depend on it."

"As... As upset as you are... We can't let you do that...." Surtr said.

"And why not?"

"Because you'll be in possession of a weapon you don't know how to use," Surtr said, "My weapons link to one's very being... They're sentient in a sense, and you have no idea what you're doing using my forge. You could end up creating a bigger problem for yourself...."

"Then you will forge my weapon..." Hel said.

"I, uh, I don't know about that..." Surtr answered nervously.

"You'd better have a good reason for your response or another individual who can rule Muspelheim in your place..." Hel said, irritated.

"You get a little.... over the top when you're stressed..." He said.

"Even if my emotions aren't quite perfect, my calculations are. The Goddess of Power, and any other offenders responsible for the overpopulation in Helheim, must die to ensure less death in the long run..." She said, "Now, this is my final warning. Step. Aside. Now."

Zonolo got up, looking toward where Hel had emerged, noticing a large number of souls beginning to spawn in the realm beneath: Helheim. He then made his way back to his allies that stood alongside him, who were slightly battered by the casual exertion of power from the Goddess of Death.

"Delay her a bit longer..." Zonolo said, "I need time for her to hear me out..."

"Bring it on..." Yamato said.

"Very well! The time for mercy has ended!" Hel said, rushing toward the forge. Boros rushed toward her, evading her and wrapping his arms around her neck as he flew backwards at full speed in an attempt to slow her down. Meanwhile, Yamato and Mira launched a synchronized swing, clashing with her axe, but not for long.

"Wait!" Zonolo yelled.

"Off," Hel muttered, blowing them all back, continuing to make her way toward the forge. Zonolo then had the idea of utilizing his flaming tattoos in tandem with his current form, granting him more strength to do a better job than his previous attempts at holding her back.

"Listen to me... This won't solve your problem...." Zonolo said, making even more of an effort to push her back as he spoke, "Look at Helheim...."

"What could you possibly be going on about?" She said, pushing more out of anger.

"Look. At. It..." Zonolo said, forcing himself to get stronger to stop her from getting closer to the forge. Fortunately for him, Hel obliged this time, noticing the mass insurgence of souls and deceased appearing in Helheim.

"All the more reason I must do this..."

"No, you're missing the point...." Zonolo answered, "People are still going to die, and you'll continued to get stressed over it. You need people to take some of the workload off you..."

The pushing on Hel's end began to weaken. Was she taking in what Zonolo was saying?

"This is true..." She said, coming to a complete stop in their clash.

"You see? You don't need to-"

Zonolo was hit with the axe and sent flying an absurd distance away.

"But it would be more advantageous to minimize the incoming number of souls to further make things more manageable as well...." Hel said, lifting Surtr by the shirt and walking into the forge with him while swatting away any attempt any of the others had at trying to stop her, "And to do that... I need a new weapon..."

The others were knocked out, and Zonolo was promptly MIA due to the strike from Hel. With no one left to stop her, she commanded Surtr to forge her new weapon. With it in hand she smiled.

"Allow me to welcome you to Helheim, Valdagyðja..." Hel said before promptly disappearing from Muspelheim.

Meanwhile, in Valhalla, Valdagyðja was continuing to train with the clones of her own creation. However, she felt a power coming her way, and dissipated all the clones. Hopefully, this would be even better.

The energy felt somewhat familiar, but also like an energy she hadn't felt in a while. Could it be Rory, arriving to continue their fated battle? Was it Kill-Gaia? Was it someone else entirely? At this point, the Goddess of Power didn't even care. She just smiled in anticipation, ready for a new challenger to face her.

As all of these events unfolded, Lady Autrice read them in her book, once again alone in her own spacious room. She turned the page, reading it.

"This chapter looks quite interesting..." She said with a smile as the pages transcribed themselves.

"There's no need to inform us, we already know everything there is to know." Belial and Kiara walked into the room, darkness covering parts of Belial's body as fire surrounded Kiara' fists, along with her armor taking up part of her arms as well.

"Ho Ho Ho, now how did you break out of my maximum-security prison?" The Director asked.

"It took the combined force of Belial and me at full power, but we were able to break out!" Kiara said enthusiastically as her fire and armor disappeared nigh-instantly after she completed her sentence.

"Ho Ho, you two are quite fine warriors..." The Director eyed both of them for a few seconds before stopping. Rory dashed over to Belial and Kiara, pulling both of them in for a hug. "Thank god..." She said, breathing heavily.

"It's alright, mom. We're all good." Belial said, "Yep! See? No scratches or nothing!" Kiara said, smiling. Rory let go of them, her breathing slowing down. "Feeling better, babe?" Kiara asked to which Rory nodded in response.

"I'm good. Just glad you two are alright..." Rory said. "But- How do you already know everything? Cause I don't." Belial swiftly explained, "I have instilled many tracking sigils into David's soul while he sleeps. They allow me to hear whatever he hears on certain occasions." Belial said nonchalantly
