Ragnarök-RP Thread

The group was teleported to one of the main streets of the city where multiple guards were patrolling for different reasons. Some were patrolling for any signs of criminal activity, and some were there just to help the common citizens out with problems they could not physically handle themselves. "Alright, let's do this..." Belial thought to himself.

He stood in a more... secluded part of the street and attempted to make himself cry as if he was an abandoned child. "Waaaahhhh!!!" Belial on the outside was crying intensely, but on the inside, he was... quite embarrassed. One of the soldiers walked up to him.

"What's wrong, boy?" The soldier asked, this was his chance. "M-my mommy... I don't know where she is... S-she left me here..." The soldier kneeled down, reaching for Belial. "Come here, kid. I'll get you some help." This was his chance.

As the soldier reached down to Belial, he attempted to read the soldier's mind, extracting whatever information that they would need for the infiltration. "Hey, this kid is trying to read my mind...!" But these soldiers were far more well equipped than he thought.

Belial was kicked away, "Who the hell are you!? What are you looking for!?" A number of soldiers ran up, pointing guns at Belial, King Tiger, and Horus. "All 3 of you are under arrest..."

"...That went well." Belial thought.

The trio, (And Masayoshi and Towa for whenever Zoro responds), were handcuffed and moved into a large armored van as they were transported. They sat in the back with an armed soldier to watch them.

Belial established a telepathic link with Horus and David, (And Masayoshi and Towa for whenever Zoro responds), "...This could have definitely gone batter." He thought.

“Well…I certainly didn’t expect to get arrested…that’s for sure” David thought, sighing.

“so…what do we do now? We could just…smash our way out of this…but then we’ll be wanted criminals…”
"I've got a plan. Let's just go to whatever prison they're taking us to." Belial thought, smirking.

Rory woke up slowly, yawning and stretching out, rubbing her eyes to get a clearer view of the environment. "Ah, Belial? It's morning, sweetheart!" She expected to wake up and lovingly embrace her cute son, but...

"...Huh?" Belial was not there. She pulled away the covers, hoping that he was just sleeping completely under them, but he was not there. "W-wait a second..." She jumped out of the bed, dashing across the house, looking for Belial.

"Where the hell is my son!?"

But he was not there. Most mothers would usually just assume that Belial had left the house, but not Rory. She had already lost him many times before... And it theoretically happening again made her heartbeat over 10 times faster.

"Where the hell is my son!?" She jumped out of the window, kneeling towards the ground to sniff it. "...There." Mama Bear Rory was active and ready. She dashed around the city, following Belial's scent, stopping at where the group was arrested.

She sniffed the ground once more, "...THERE."

"Yep. We'll be fine." Belial said.

“If you say so” David thought

“But whatever happens…let’s avoid…bloodshed alright? The soldiers may have arrested us, but theirs no reason to kill them or somethin” David thought.

“though if they try torturing us…torturing Masayoshi…” David thought, briefly forgetting his thoughts were being transmitted to the group. He pushed them out of his mind immediately, hoping nobody noticed.

"David, be logical. They couldn't possibly harm us based on what we've seen... We can just tell them what we want without resistance. Besides, we've already got a rescue." Belial thought.

“Yeah, yeah your right. I shouldn’t be worried.” David thought

“…rescue? Does somebody already know where we are?”
"Mommy." Belial thought. "The most probable situation is that my mom realized I wasn't there, panicked, and is now searching for me. We didn't leave many tracks for her to follow, but she'll find us soon."

“Yes I want to know the truth”

“but I also don’t want to watch Rory massacre a group of innocent soldiers..” David thought.
"And then you will be left in the dark, twiddling you're thumbs in confusion without any idea how to help anybody, and we will be wanted criminals and will have to either kill the soldiers anyway or leave the city leaving these people to die." Belial thought.

"Sit down."

Masayoshi and Towa were cuffed, not putting up much resistance. When they were with the others, Towa's magic easily undid the bindings on her and Masayoshi. Towa smiled, a look of satisfaction on her face.

"Oh, this will be wonderful..." Towa thought, "Why raid the place when you can watch Rory burn it all to the ground?"

"I had a feeling you'd get a kick out of that..." Masayoshi answered telepathically, "Still, it really didn't have to come to this..."

"If I do that, it'll only alert more of them. My soldiers emit a nasty aura." Belial thought as he fixed David's restraints. "David, I'm going to dispel this illusion. Do not make a scene."
David was deep in thought.
“I…I don’t want to stand buy and watch as innocent people get hurt…” he thought.

“But…if this information will help us aid those suffering form the plague…” he thought. He remembered the man from earlier, how the sickness had driven him to kill himself . He remembered how much Kiara had suffered during their long trip to Emerald City. All the suffering from the plague he had seen was flashing into his memory, and he knew what he wanted to do.

“I’ll…I’ll keep calm…for now” David thought.

"Good." Belial thought.

Soon, the group was transferred to a large prison facility and swiftly put in a maximum-security cell with no airways or escape routes. "Hm..." Belial knocked against the wall of the cell.

"It's pretty durable. We won't be able to break out of this one with sheer force... Teleportation probably won't work either." Belial sighed, "If they had this kind of material why not just use it when we were in the van...?" He said.

Belial groaned, sitting down against the wall. "This was a miscalculation... It seems escape isn't in the cards anymore." Belial thought to himself, continuing to groan. "...I wonder how Shalor is doing."

Kiara looked at Belial, sitting down and sliding over to him. "Hey... How's it going...?" She said awkwardly. "Just because you ****** my mom doesn't mean you get to act like my mom." He said bluntly, causing Kiara to chuckle.

"I'm not trying to act like your mom. I'm trying to act like your friend, Belial. I don't plan on stepping in like that unless you're comfortable, so don't worry." Belial sighed, "Then what do you want...?" Kiara smiled. "You look distressed. What's up?" Belial didn't answer. "You know I'm just going to pester you until you tell me, right?" Belial sighed.

"Fine."

Belial looked at the ceiling, "I just want to know whether or not I'm being a nuisance." Kiara was confused, "To who? You've helped us a lot!" Belial groaned, "Not to you guys... To Shalor. My constant efforts to protect him... I told Bedivere I didn't care, but that was a lie. I do care. I can't not care! What if he dies and I can't save him?" Kiara responded immediately.

"Belial, how do you feel about Shalor?" Belial responded with some embarrassment, "Well, I- I like him...!" Kiara smiled, "And what do you want to do?" Belial responded, blushing. "I... Want to protect him." Kiara then had a stern look on her face. "But is that really what's best for him?" Belial tilted his head.

"Belial, I believe that you should live life to the fullest. You're gonna die anyway, right? So you need to live as best as you can. But things change when it comes to the people you care about... You have to think about whether you want is best for Shalor." Belial's eyes widened.

"From what I can tell... Shalor doesn't need your protection, Belial. He needs you to support him. To back him up, not to protect him from the consequences. Those are his to face. That's what you do for the people you love, you support them. I think Shalor would feel a lot better if you tried to support him in his life, and not just shield him from all the danger. What's life without a little danger, anyway?" Kiara said, chuckling.

"I-is that what I've been doing...?" Belial thought to himself. "I do want to support him...! I want to support my mom...! I... I don't want to be a nuisance because of my emotions..." Kiara pulled Belial in for a hug. "You're no nuisance... Not to me, not to Rory, and not to Shalor. He obviously cares about you a lot if you're this attached!" Belial smiled a bit.

"We're gonna get out of here, and we're gonna go see Rory. And hopefully soon, you'll be able to see Shalor too, alright?" Belial nodded. "I doubt it'll be that easy though..." Belial said, sighing.

The cell door slowly opened, allowing a man into the room. Belial kept his guard up for any potential threats, "...Huh?" He said in confusion after he saw who entered the cell.

"Ho Ho... What a nice surprise, more felons." The Old Man said.

David was listening to Kiara as she talked to Belial.

“you support them..” he thought. Repeating Kiara words in his mind.

“Do I…do enough to support Masayoshi?” David thought to himself. He would give her life for her, but most of his focus was spent on protecting her. He hadn’t given any thought to how he could support her in other ways.

“Maybe I should talk to her about that one day…how I can support her in what she wants to accomplish…” David thought to himself.

he was shaken out of his thoughts when the cell door opened.

“you want something from us old man?” David asked, his eyes narrowed.

"Ho Ho Ho, if I let you go knowing what you wanted to do here well then I'd have to kill you! Haha!" The Old Man said jokingly.
David sighed.

“look, man. All were interested in is a bit of information. We just want to learn more about this plague and how it’s treated, so we can help out the people who are suffering from it.” David said.

“we aren’t hostile, and we don’t mean anyone any harm, we just want answers”

"Well, you tried to steal some pretty confidential intel sonny..." The Old Man sat down, crossing his legs, completely nonchalant. "To give away info to citizens would be rather outrageous if that info could potentially harm them, would it not be?" The Old Man said, chuckling a bit. He was completely nonchalant, still.

David cocked an eyebrow.

“old man…people are suffering…people are dying. Their killing themselves all because of this goddamn plague.”

David stood up, and walked towards the man, staring down at him.

“how the hell would giving them information make things worse then they already are!?”
"Ho Ho Ho... If you want to find that out, you'll have to follow me boyo." The Old Man said, the door slowly opening. "You most likely won't enjoy what you see though."
