Ragnarök-RP Thread

"I just thought it'd be an interesting way to die. That, and I want to be astonished if it does work." Her finger rested now against her own cheek, making thorough examinations of the city and it's various features. Particular strengths, weaknesses, anything that would be helpful in their favor. Once finished, she offered a bit of a playful smile towards Rory -- whether to tease or ease her mind away from the conflict -- that remained to be seen.
"Stalker." She said, staring at Pandora with a disgusted look.

Order's Bastion theme (Don't judge me lol)

The gates slowly opened outward revealing a city that was truly prospering, in fact one could even call it a utopia, each milimeter of the city had a purpose, whether it be housing, a road, a park, a shop, a school, and many other purposes, Golden soldiers lined the streets to protect the citizens that performed a variety of tasks, it was clear that this was an utter stronghold of a city, with a military might that rivaled even Archaon and Urial's. An inpenetrable defense without extreme military power

A woman whom was dressed in a red cloth lined with a golden trim was speaking to a guard before turning to Rory, her entire outfit from boots to shoulder pieces to her witch's hat itself clearly being an enchanted armor of some kind, a ponytail waved in the wind behind the woman as she met up with Rory and Pandora and spoke

"So you two are here to have an audience with Yharim. whatever the case is it should be quite a show with a Monarchist next to you. My name is Eonara by the way." Eonara said in a interested tone, but didn't invite any explanations before leading them through the city and into the temple, which was even more heavily defended then the rest of the city, there wasn't a square inch of the interior or extierior that could not be seen by a guard, enchantments lined the golden walls which were surprisingly easy on the eyes, with a red carpet leading them to massive double doors

"If you are feeling like turning back now is the last chance. Nobody would blame you here." Eonara said, her tone the same as before

She takes notice of all that's around her. It's quite the grandiose location. Once there was going in, it seemed, there was no going back. She didn't particularly want to die here, but her curiosity eventually won out in the end. In truth, there wasn't anyone she'd rather die with than an equal. Brows furrowing, she followed the woman inside of the temple, looking towards the looming doorway. It was strangely intimidating, yet she didn't turn back. In a hushed tone, she spoke to the other through the side of her lips.

"I know you're stubborn as an ox .... But this may be the last time we may ever get to consider such an option."

"Nah," Rory said, shrugging. She wasn't afraid. Well, she was, but she knew Yharim was a reasonable man somewhat. She also did admire the armored structure, it was a nice change of pace compared to the usual battlefields she walked on. "As a sign of good faith, I'll drop my weapons." She summoned Durandal and Bakuzan, dropping them at the entrance. She also dropped a few hundred spare daggers she had.

"And do I get a guarantee you guys won't try and nuke me the second I say something unfavorable?" While she knew he was reasonable, she didn't know much about his true nature, so for all she actually knew, the possibilities of getting nuked due to his somewhat pathological nature increased...

("How does she even walk with those -- ?")

"He will hear you out, I make no promises for what his response will be afterwards. I don't even know how he will respond myself." Eonara said and then glanced at Pandora

"I recommend you leave any tech outside unless you want it to get hacked, Draedon is always interested in his foes technology."

"Fortunately, they're in my other clothes."

She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her sweatjacket only to find a few dust bunnies and the like. She came defenseless as well. Though only her strategic mind was necessary for such encounters. That was what she believed, at the very least.

The twin doors opened to reveal a grand throne room lined by Royal Guards, and at the end of a hall that covered at least 50 meters there was a large throne full of enchantments, in fact it seemed like Yharim was completely invincible here as he sat on his throne

"Make sure the people get enough sleep, we need to continue construction of the undercity, but the people need rest as much as they need a shelter. Now leave me, it appears I have a couple of guests." someone unseen teleported out as Yharim raised one hand to beckon Eonara, Pandora, and Rory

"Come and speak your piece."

"I'll keep it short and sweet. I need you to help me carpet bomb a couple of cities." The ensuing of death and despair triggered the calamity to begin its awakening, and besides Archaon, Yharim was the one with the most firepower.

"While I usually don't want calamities to awaken, it's the only way for our strength to increase. If waves don't pass, a Dreamer can't get any stronger. But it's not just that, technical growth, cultural growth, everything is stagnated." So in order for the world to move forward, a wave needed to pass.

A slow turn towards Eonara as she said her piece. A thought came to mind as she simply stared at her -- listening to her rival's speech all the while. She remained patient, emerald hues looking fondly at their escort. She'd hope that Rory would be ... charismatic enough to carry the conversation. Otherwise, they might need a little extra help...

Eonara facepalmed as she heard the proposition were they trying to get themselves killed? They clearly know at least a bit about Yharim, so why did they propose something so chaotic to him?

"FUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Yharim laughed for a solid 30 seconds before stopping "Oh, that was a good one."

"You of all people, would ask me to bomb innocents, children even, to cause enough chaos to summon a Calamity? I would expect this kind of request from Archaon or even Urial! But you? The leader of the Harmonists? I never would have guessed."

Yharim then said calmly "When that eye opens I was planning to me and my people to not be on this planet. We have already found a suitable planet to inhabit. But you want to fight the best you can give... I will consult with my council on this, I will have an answer for you in a few hours, do not leave this city until then."

"Why certainly," Masayoshi said with a reassured smile, "And I am in fact one of the Harmonists. You're a tad early, but I suppose we can work with this..."
"Well I can make your job significantly easier." Urial said. With a snap of his fingers, about a thousand of his soldiers appeared before him and began to open fire on the creatures. A select few were warping reality, destroying the very surface upon which the creatures walked, reducing them to char, and overall shattering their numbers quickly. Urial himself flicked his hand and caused many of the creatures to be erased from existence. "You've been doing this for quite some time. Please, rest. I can handle this for the time being."

"Whatever man." She shrugged once more. She honestly thought it'd go way worse than this... So even if he didn't accept her proposition, he at least didn't nuke her. "I'm not a hero Yharim." She began to walk towards the exit of the temple.

"I'm a soldier. A warrior. I fight, and I kill. That's all." She'd embraced an entirely new mentality towards herself. Before, she was called the Hero of Dreams, a messiah that would save the world from the calamities and the Monarchists.

"The more I fight, the closer I get to my conviction." She then completely left, planning to enjoy the luxuries this city may have offered as the king made his decision.

Yharim smiled beneath his helmet as Panodra and Rory left

"You've already made your decision, haven't you?" Eonara said calmly

"Of course, she makes a compelling case for it. She has changed from the woman I got from a few sentences. Her conviction almost as strong as mine, her old self never would have even thought of this, but now? I think she has gone through hell and saw some of her folly. Sometimes Chaos must be caused to bring Order. And Rory wishes to save the dreams, but has gone through some trauma. But it would be rude to pry after all." Yharim said, deep in thought, he could destroy them for bringing this here, but he saw wisdom in it.

"I will move the city as planned, we will let Stroheim handle the bombing, You, Stroheim, Relarak(DoG), and Yharon will fight alongside everyone to fight the Calamity, Draedon and myself will prepare for the advancements made." Yharim ordered

"Now we only need to summon, tell and wait..."

(As long as it follows the whole "Golden Utopia Military Stronghold" theme do whatever while ye wait 4 in-canon hours)

"Ugh ... "

Pandora leaves along with her, hands folded within her pockets. A rather huffy look about her as she flutters her eyes shut, though still able to traverse the city just fine. Then she finally let a large sigh escape her as they were doused in the sun's light, an exhausted voice letting itself out that had been kept inside for quite some time.

"You keep saying conviction this
, conviction that --- It's going to get you killed someday."

"Says the child who tries to put on the cold calculating dominatrix persona to deal with... Perhaps daddy issues? You did mention some he a while back. Nil also has this abnormal commitment to keeping you alive." She says as she whistled, stretching out her arms.

"You wanna put humanity back in the hell that is the current, actual Earth, and I wanna make a paradise. I'd say I'm allowed to bring up my conviction whenever I damn well please."

"Don't you DARE."

Her calm demeanor suddenly exploded into something much more furious; the dragon reappearing again upon the mention of him with such ... nonchalance.

"You think you're so self-righteous .... But you're just as clueless as the rest of them! Your government never told you the truth, did they? That they had the resources, and science to at least attempt redirecting that meteor! But you know what they DID!? They took the easy way out... and escaped into this -- this FANTASY while everyone who believed in humanity was left to DIE! All because they were too afraid to stand up and actually face reality for what it was -- ! And you're still running away -- everyone here is! It's because of people like you that my father was left alone to fight for a cause he knew was right! If it wasn't for your negligence, his research might have actually been funded!

I admire you -- I really do. But you're so ... misplaced in what you believe in! Do you even know what you're fighting for!? This paradise... all it is -- is just the root of a problem that humanity's always had! Reliance on the easy way out.
That if you wish upon a star, your dreams come true, right!? But the Calamities aren't going to stop just because we wish for it -- or because we just happen to be like gods in here. As long as we're trapped in this infinite hell, they're never going to end! My father will have died for nothing! We all will die for nothing, believing in something that isn't real! Wake up, Rory, if that even is your real name. A perfect Paradise can't exist. And even so, what of the next threat? Our Earth is there suffering. And you ... you just think it's beyond saving because you don't want to try. You just want to Dream.

All of you ... just want to Dream.
I may be a fool ... but at least I'm half-awake."

"This world is a fantasy, everyone knows that, but could you at least argue in one of the guest chambers? They are to your left, and please don't tear up the place."

A man with bright orange hair, bright emerald eyes and wearing golden armor, somewhat similar to Yharim's but without any helmet approached them and overheard the outburst

"Earth is dying, and until we get unto higher planes of dimensional structures there is **** all we can do about it." The man said calmly

Clearing her throat, her face softens and she turns towards the chambers in question.

"Right -- thank you."

Her hand is delved deep inside of her pockets where it clenches hard into a fist. She was devout to her own beliefs, the very same that her father believed in, however absent he was in her life. Constantly swallowing her own pride until joining the Monarchists was, in fact, hell. But it was something. She had hope that eventually things might change. Not by dreaming about it -- but by actually doing something.

Rory followed her to said chambers, staring at Pandora as if she was staring into her soul.

Rory simply sighed, looking up into the air. "I was 14 when the meteorite hit." She then leaned against a wall. "I lived on a little farm in Oregon, I had around 6 siblings, and my mom took care of us all on our own. It wasn't the best life, but we made an honest living doing what we did." She then looked down, her eyes dimming down.

"Then the meteor hit... It hit my state the worst. Almost everyone but me and a few survivors were killed. I didn't have much but a little wooden blade I made for myself. I didn't need anything else. I didn't understand why it had to happen to me. I didn't wanna understand. All I knew was that nobody was helping us. The government wasn't sending anyone, the police were all dead, and all anyone had was themselves."

"I don't care about your family." She began walking towards Pandora. "I don't care about your goal." She grabbed her by the shirt and pinned her against the wall forcefully.

"I spent 80 ******* years in this world trying to fix the Earth for you ungrateful pieces of shit working against me. I should have you on the ground licking my feat for all the shit I went through to fix that garbage you call a planet by turning it into a paradise." She then let go of Pandora, throwing her to the ground.

"Get the hell out of my sight."

(Woah. Heavy. lol.)

Yharon still overheard it due to his hearing being that enhanced and then sighed, unknowingly using Telepathy for his thought directly to Rory and Pandora

"Sometimes I wonder why we fight. Earth is in ruins, and there are forces trying to destroy the only sanctuary anyone has left for what? I will never understand why Yharim fights to protect Order, he knows as well as I do that our enemies will just keep coming until the dream is dead. His conviction and determination is something I admire, but I hope he knows that his goal is unreachable at the end of the day." The voice sounded almost sorrowful, clear echoes memories of something better echoing in Yharon's mind

(Yharon was such a good boss fight oh my god-)

Rory ignored the voice, sneering. "Has your master made a decision as to whether he will help me or not?" She leans against the wall once more, tired of bickering with others for now.

(It really is a good boss fight)

"Knowing him, he probably made his choice as soon as he heard the proposition. I think he's just preparing to move the city to a planet outside of this galaxy immediately, as to make sure no collateral damage happens once the Calamity is summoned. He is still a king and has to protect his people after all." The voice brightened up a bit

Urial approached one of the soldiers that were repelling the creatures of the wave. The soldier turned and knelt before Urial, bowing his head in respect. "Arise, soldier. For now, I must leave this battle and rest. My power is draining me and for now, you shall be my replacement on this battlefield."

The soldier nodded, not showing any real emotions in the slightest. "Perhaps I should've asked for some emotions with my soldiers. No matter." Urial stated as he placed his hand on the soldier's head. Glowing red energy flowed from his arm into his palm and then around the soldier. As it did, the soldier began to rise into the air, energy spiraling around him. His armor grew far more ornate compared to what it once was. Robes, cloth, and parchment began to cover his armor. His helmet, which was once uniform with the other soldiers, changed into a golden helm with large horns protruding from the sides.

The soldier fell to the ground with a thud. He was somewhat dazed and looked around. "What... where am I?" The soldier asked, perplexed. Urial extended his arm and the soldier took it, lifting him to his feet. "You were once a nobody, a mere soldier, an emotionless suit of armor. I have given you life and power, and with it, a name." Urial said. "And that is?" The soldier asked. "You are Ahriman of the Thousand Suns. spelled with a 'u' to avoid trademark issues. Now take my stead." Urial proclaimed. "Yes, my Liege." Ahriman responded as Urial teleported away back into his pyramids.

Ahriman stepped forward ahead of the rest of the soldiers and extended his arm. Blue energy began to glow from his palm and bursts of it began to fire out, incinerating the creatures before him and reducing them to nothing more than ash as the other soldiers began to open fire on the creatures still left behind.

Stroheim, DoG, Draedon, and Yharon was teleported into Yharim's throne room and given thier orders

"Yharon, Relerak, Eonara. Accompany Rory and the others. Stroheim, I trust you know what to do?" Yharim gave swift orders

"Yes! I will do this in the name of Superior German Science and Order!" Stroheim said loudly, not loud enough to be heard however from the guest areas.

(Relorak is a particularly bulky guy in full armor glittering like stars with only his glowing purple eyes visible)

Yharon, Relerak, and Eonara opened the guest room door as Stroheim was teleported in between the two selected cities

"Lets go prepare for the Calamity fight shall we?" Yharon said calmly

As the troops of Urial burned, cut, and exterminated over a million of the coming wave monsters along with Mark and Masayoshi during their part to destroy the beasts, they began to finally stop pouring out like a faucet. The number of creatures had begun to thin, and the waves soon completely stopped their onslaught. For... a little while at least.

The eye that lay in the sky, its rapture and dark light radiating ever further began to... cry? It made no sound, but the feeling of dread permeating the battlefield was more than enough to alert the Dreamers of the incoming attack. It wept in despair, its beasts slaughtered, its awakening stunted, these events caused it to weep with everlasting despair.

Except it didn't cry tears. It cried meteorites. Over 950,000 meteorites fell from the enormous eye, covered in light that would burn away every atom in something. After the first batch came another, and then another, and another. Millions of terrific meteorites fell from the dark divinity that had yet to truly hatch in full.
