One Piece Discussion Thread Ten Thriller Bark

Alright so what did i miss from OP? Also One Piece: Pirates Warrior 4 just announced!! But there is a rumor it will be like DW9 but we will see next. And Zoro trailer for World Seeker already announced too, and speaking of World Seeker how good the game is?

I hope the animation stays consistent with what we saw in the PV and the pacing isn't utter trash like it's right now. I genuinely like the aesthetics that the Trailers showed.

Today is the day. We'll know if everything looks better outside of some trailers.

To me it's really possible of having a good anime adaptation. Toei can do good things when they want to, and with the new director I have faith on this arc.

I could give it a try.

Edit: I was expecting to see Tashigi jumping to the cannonball with it being frozen but apparently she jumped and somehow the cannonball got close to her instead of the contrary.

Let's see: Tashigi's 1.7m tall.

Her arm is 0.595m long.

Her sword's blade is nearly the double, being 1.198m long.

Total extension is 1.794m.

The arm movement is roughly 180 degrees judging by the images so it's 5.636m.

Cannonball's width is apparently 17.5cm (tho I might be wrong so correct me if so) and the distance it moved through Tashigi's sword is 27.25cm.

Going at 250m/s the timeframe is 0.1s.

Making the speed 56.36m/s. Really disappointing.

Even if you assume the cannonball moved 0.001m for being frozen (which isn't) the result is Mach 16.

So yes, it doesn't worth taking a look at. Sadly, I already done so.

This is part of another revision I'm planning to do, but what do you think if we use this image for Tashigi's profile and move the OPTC pic to the gallery?

Tashigi Post TS
@Kobster a very popular spanish youtuber said the same three years ago and then he disappeared...

Crap, I hope I haven't jinxed myself.

And I honestly fine with using conceptual arts and putting the OPTC pictures in the gallery section

Don't worry, he's safe and sound. He just left his audience and never came back.

He trolled us last year saying he was getting back, but it never happened.

Indeed, an amazing episode to start an amazing arc.

The animation looked consistently awesome, and even the people far away from the camera looks more well-formed yet at the same time lacking details with a balance good enough to make them look good enough to not give me reasons to kill someone.

The pacing was very good as well. They took some time to show things the manga didn't that are nice additions, like the slayer's identity as the Magister instead of some random dude that was there. Now we have the true identity of the slayer, not just a face but a role but we have no name.

Komurasaki playing the OST is also a great addition. They swapped scenes between she playing that instrument and where the action is to get the increase of tension in the scene, to not just go from 0 to 100 in a second, but having an actual scene to get to the action. Might be kinda anti-climatic in the future, but right now it fitted just great.

Can't forget the character's music at the ad intervention but with japanese traditional instruments. That's an awesome detail.

It is. If the animation is this good during all the arc, Wano will be amazing.

Right. Well, Js will create another one once we reach the 500 replies. We still have some room left.

@Calaca I tried to ask you this on your Message Wall, but it's not working. If it's no trouble, could you create a profile for Kin'emon when you get the chance?

No problem. I have a good pic for him.

Once we get more feats I'll work on every Red Scabbard.

Thanks. And here's Kin'emon feats from the Dressrosa Saga and Wano Arc (so far):

Attack Potency

His torso alone matched Brook in a sword fight.

After both Nami and Robin damage Vegapunk's Green Dragon, Kin'emon and Brook deliver the finishing blow on it.

https://*****************/read-online/One-Piece-Digital-Colored-Comics-chapter-682-page-16.html

For reference, Brownbeard states that the Green Dragon model was an evolved version of the Red Dragon that's quicker and has a harder body than the Red Dragon, which G2 Luffy's Jet Pistol and Zoro's Ul-Tora Gari couldn't put a dent in. Zoro, who defeated the Red Dragon, also says the Green Dragon is superior.

Speed

As a torso he could keep up with Brook in a clash, including evading Brook's Aubade: Coupe Droit.

Lifting Strength

His lower body alone was repeatedly suplexing Luffy on his head.

Striking Strength

He can easily cut through massive steel shutters.

https://*****************/read-online/One-Piece-Digital-Colored-Comics-chapter-677-page-16.html

Could cut through the Green Dragon, whose scales are stronger than steel

Durability

Could withstand Sanji's kicks as a head alone, the severe cold temperatures on Punk Hazard's frozen side, being viciously bitten by a shark, and survived a kick from Doflamingo |Took a beating from an angry Shutenmaru and received no significant injuries

Been checking twitter and the forums today. Jacks Vivre card has come out and at this moment he is not confirmed to have armament or observation haki...

They don't show Haki sometimes if the user hasn't shown any Haki at all in the series. Although sometimes they do like hos the CP9 are stated to have Haki now.

Interesting info.

EDIT: I'll update my calc which uses Oars' height.
