One Piece Chapter 1072: The Weight of Memory (Official Translation)

She was described as the first successful clone, which means there have been clones before her that were deemed failures. Now whether this means Vegapunk version of failure (in which even having the wrong color can mean a failure since he's a perfectionist), or actual failures is a bit hard to say.

Going off of Vegapunk's notes in the beginning, he considers her a success, so it's possibly based on what he considers a failure or a success, so there could be other previous "failures" that could be roaming the world older than Stussy. But the way he says she's unmistakably human implies that the previous clones ended up as non human or monstrosities, so maybe he's less strict in his definition of success when it comes to living beings then compared to objects.

If this is the case, than there can't be a clone unit 00 and be a successful clone, since clone unit 01 is the first successful clone.

The thing that kinda makes me doubt it is that Stussy is considered the first successful clone, and unless she's younger than Zoro (which I doubt since she was made in the MADS days which predate Zoro), I very much doubt that Vegapunk could screw up cloning people after making a successful clone.

Damn, everyone is on this ground.

I'll stand my ground and say nah, if I'm wrong, then I'm a clown and a doubter. But if I'm right, then y'all need to put down your tin foil hats and get some sun.

well the number 0 could be Secret clone of mads or something honestly its Oda so dont be surprised =P
also yeah please no zoro/kuina ....etc
But since dragon was near zoro island/country its very possible that kuma erased kuina's mind but idk what that will do to the story

I was watching Tekkings review and a comment asked a really good question: what would happen if Big Mom tried to put years (or a soul basically) into Kuma's memory bubble?

I think that Stussy doesn't have a vampire fruit (although it's very likely), she might honestly have the succubus fruit since she's the queen of the pleasure district.

Also Bonnie's fruit isn't a completely superior fruit to Shinobu's since it's aging effects are only temporary on living things while Shinobu permanently age's anything she wants.
Isn't that a superior quality though? Like, it makes Bonney's ability more versatile as she can freely alter the ages of her allies without worrying while losing none of the effectiveness against any potential enemy

This chapter made me feel bad for Kuma all the more.

But also Bonney's ability is no longer Age manipulation?? It's more or less tapping into different timelines of aging altogether at her choice. And can manifest human lifespan into physical gems? Nutty

Very real chance Stussy has Patrick Redfield's fruit. It could explain why she stayed young because it's confirmed clones/genetically created humans still age.

You probably lose all that lifespan
That's broken as hell man.
I love the fact that vegapunk references MacDougall's experiment- never would've expected that, despite the inspiration of it behind the weight of memories

( The artist, named Rottkins, thinks it's imperative that I credit them, so.. here's a note )

That's broken as hell man.
What's more broken is the possibility that Vegapunk can prove Kuma's fruit can repel imagination and souls- imagine him slapping the soul out of you

literally
Both him and his daughter's fruits turned out way more OP than initially given

I just noticed Kuma's ears being there during the flashback and they're real-
So he's a literal bear human sortakinda-- but what's so special about that??
I mean, 2 of the Scabbards are literally just Garfield and a dog but they're still able to box with Commanders like Jack.
I just wonder why Bonney doesn't have the same ears and size as him.

Also does Kuma export all his pain ( including the gun shots he's taking right now ) to that huge bubble in Punk's lab?

Kuma's bear ear thingy is real strange. It appears to be part of him (and not just part of the hat he wears) in this chapter's flashback but in Bonney's flashback in chapter 1063, he did not have those bear ears and had seemingly normal ear/hair/head-shape

Maybe Oda forgot to draw them? I assume it was just that

There’s basically only a 1% chance she still joins, and I will ride that ship till it drowns… We know Wano’s borders have to open one day, so eventually Wano will return in a fashion, so it’s possible that when that happens, Yamato could join

But I am very aware this is all hopium
