Alright, here we go. The first RWBY thread, featuring Trish from the Devil May Cry series.

This is Post-Timeskip Nora, who's charged by her Semblance.

Speed is equalized.

Nora get slapped by Lightning

Gets up around Trish's level of AP

Trish realizes Lightning is a bad idea and then proceeds to use her Sword of Sparda, arguably superior skill and weaponry etc. to wear Nora's aura down.

Lighning is useless and will only charge Nora up, but aside from Aura it is her only advantage.
 
Okay, so Nora's semblance actually makes her steonger than the thing ahe absorbed the elecreicitt from (She sent a pissed off, charging Hazel flying with one attack after absorbingbhos electricity and before that she was able to ohysically overpower him pinning her down and threw him across the room) so if she hits Trish after Trish hits her with lightning Trish will be hurt pretty badly

Also, Trish doesnt have the Sword of Sparda anymore, Dante took it from her
 
^ Dante never took it from her, Nero simply handed it over to Dante instead of her she's still the main wielder

Nora can also amp her own ap further by charging her hammer with electricity to increase the damage it does
 
Trish, like pretty much every character in DMC is capable of mastering and understanding multiple different fighting styles for their respective weapons pretty much on the fly,

Also. she was able to hurt DMC1 Dante with her causal strikes, so she is likely a ever so slightly higher then the feat as well but it's nothing that can't be handled.


On top of this, assuming that Trish decides t use lightning over tossing her sword is a part of the reason I think she can ultimately take the win then and there if she goes CQC first.


If she doesn't, while Nora still out ranges her, she can still use her lightning in order to blast them down as she's capable of creating literal walls.

Also, not to downplay her, but she is typically headstrong and goes straight for CQC pretty often.

Also Aura ties to semblance, destroying it absolutely will take it down.

That said she has just as much skill in using Sparda as Dante does, using multiple of the same techniques he and Vergil do when using it.

Along with Trish being able to stat amp herself with DT as well.
 
I dont quite understand how Trish would win this without being hit one time, nor do u inderstand why people think that losing aura makes RWBY characters instantly lose
 
Because Nora is High 8C and High 7C with her boosted semblance

Thus she goes to High 8C when her aura goes down.

"Without being hit once"

That's cute but that won't kill Trish, Nora wdoesnt have the AP to one shot even if she is boosted.
 
Semblances dont go away when aura goes down, Yang was able to use her semblance even after her aura was depleted, as is Qrow

Amped Nora sent Hazel flying after being amped by his electricity, only shrugging off the damage due to a combination of his extremely fast aura regen and his pain inhibiting semblance
 
When? The trailer? There's no evidence of it breaking, only getting damaged by Aura.

Trish also has regen and unlike Hazel isn't going to run directly at her and let Nora smash her in the chest.

I'm also assuming you're voting Nora, grace it is.
 
Qrow's aura was explicitly broken and his passive luck manip was still active

Hazel also has better regen than Trish
 
Nora sending Hazel flying doesn't mean she'd be able to one shot Trish. I seriously doubt she's gonna be able to one shot Trish here even with her Amp without proper evidence. I also doubt Trish is stupid enough to attack her with lightning after she notices Nora getting stronger from it.

@Knight Not too mention Hazel was weakened by Oscar before Nora smacked him
 
Hazel wasnt weakened though? Oscar explained right before Nora sent him flying that his semblance blocks out pain which is why their attacks arent doing any visible damage to him.
 
Pain=/=Damage, two vastly different things.

A person with dulled nerves disease doesn't feel pain when holding a hot brick, but their hand needs serious medical attention afterwards.

Hazel was still weakened after being pushed back and taking damage by Oscar.
 
Taking damage =/= being weakened, especially when you have the Regenerationn and pain inhibition to shrug off blunt force attacks
 
Pain inhibition allows allows you to keep fighting

It doesn't at all make attacks deal less damage, it allows you to keep fighting without feeling the attack, but it's a double edged sword in the way that you can keep going head first into danger without being careful. Pain inhibitation does not at all help you shrug off attacks.

That being said unless Nora instantly goes into Low 7B from a Lightning attack she isn't one shotting Trisha, and again, she has Zero Counter for Round Trip and if Trish hits her with a bolt and Nora is on her level, she Devil Triggers and then the advantage goes right back to her.
