Legend of Zelda General Discussion Thread

Honestly, compared to most RPG verses out there, even 5-A is insultingly low. Composite Link could usually make up for it cause multipliers and hax, but there's no composites anymore.
Most RPG verses don't even go beyond tier 5, it just seems like they do because the most popular franchises like DQ and FF just go into cosmic territory on a consistent basis. Plus why would a single genre be the basis for jupiter busting somehow not being OP, destroying a city block would be enough to dunk on 99% of fiction.

"It's like Nintendo made TotK with zero regard for VS matchups!"
Well, yeah

Literally, for casual audiences the moment 8-B shit happens in a series its like some of the craziest things they've seen like ever.

Most fiction doesn't even begin to get there. I can think of loads of series where regular lightning strikes (which if you're on the ground are 9-A) are considered some of the most OP things in said series. Heck most fiction doesn't even break Supersonic speeds yet we got Tears giving 5-A and FTL

Really? Other than Fire Emblem which does occasionally fly beyond that and is also full of 2-As cuz Heroes, I don’t know of one.
Well, yeah
Hence it’s a joke.

The day I let one more Zelda character die a violent death to a Final Fantasy rep is the day every Zora in the Domain is flamed upon the hellfires of my grill

Bro almost every final fantasy every clears Zelda stat and hax wise, its honestly nothing new. Even FF16 has 4-A possibly low 2-C stuff.

I don't even want to touch LS and speed cause it would make it worse💀💀

Ok so it turns out the reason she was throwing up was because she ate a moth but didn't kill it so it was flying around in her throat making her gag and throw up, the moth has flew out of her mouth and she is now fine and dressed like a spider for Halloween so all's well that ends well, so I will shall be looking at the CRT (y)

Lol. It’s always better to have High 6-As against their 4-As instead of 6-Cs against their 4-As. Comparatively speaking.

Also should we have the Guardian of Time at Cia and Lana's power combined, or should we just have her at Universal cause she protects the Triforce, time and dimensions?

Damn it really is hitting me that outside of Rauru the sages have no actual showing of intelligence, which makes sense given how little screen time they have but boy it sure is awkward having to put average for people like Impa. Can't even put something for her that applies for all Sheikah because all we really get about them as a whole is they're basically secret agent protectors for the royal family and we get no real specifics about how they do things.

Even tried finding something that could maybe justify her being as smart as other Impas but uh, nope.

cant we just say that she likely trained zelda and that's why she can do all that crazy sheikah ninja stuff as Sheik

They're just built different
True

I was considering that but Zelda doesn't really do anything as Sheik, she just uses deku nuts as cover for when she escapes and at one point climbs a tree really fast. Dunno if she even can do everything normal Sheikah can do since the extent of what she was taught is never explained.

The narrative regarding Sheikah: "Trust me bro, they're smart."

In the manga, Impa DID train Sheik.

Do the following for Impa:

  • Upscale her from Hylian guards since she's basically the best guard under Zelda's employ
  • Mention the fact that she got away from Ganondorf with Zelda after he attacked Hyrule
  • Mention her musical talent, such as teaching Link a song using her two fingers. Giggity.
