Information about upcoming advertisements in this forum

I am unfortunately still waiting for a response for my email messages. My friend who owns this forum is constantly extremely busy with work IRL, so it seems like he did not have the time to properly investigate all of the settings for our advertisements.
 
Anyway, he takes the complaints very seriously. He is just overwhelmed with real life work, and hasn't had the time to properly understand and adjust the advertisements settings yet.
 
Here is what he just told me:

"I am looking into it, but it seems like I may have to start using Google Ad Manager because I can't find these categories in AdSense.

For the time being, please tell people to copy the url of the ad and paste it in the thread. Then I can block those specifically.

Eg, it looks like I should block https://toptoonplus.com/ ? "

Meaning: Please post the URLs of any inappropriate advertisements in this thread, so they can be blocked.

If that was done through Gofundme, I remember trying to contribute $100 to it to get things started, but Gofundme seems to not like me or my computer. Despite multiple attempts I've been unable to make a payment go through, both on that and Gofundme campaigns run by others.

I would be willing to contribute through Patreon and cryptocurrency. PayPal's a no-go due to name disclosure and, for me personally, being a pain in the ass to work with comparable to Gofundme.

Well, we blocked the 3 sites that you had a problem with so far. Please mention here if any others show up.
 
I suppose that my friend and our system manager will likely have to test it between themselves, but we have not got that far yet.
 
Okay. We only blocked 3 bad advertisement sources, so maybe they were the source of most of the problems so far?

Anyway, please spread around that anybody who encounters inappropriate advertisements in this forum should link to them here, so I can censor them.

How exactly are we supposed to spread that around? Should we simply tell those who mention getting inappropriate advertisements or should we mention that in a more active and autonomous manner?
 
Well, if any of the people reading this see somebody mention that they have problems in this regard, please tell them to mention it here.

You can also mention it in the main Discord chat if you wish, so other members become aware of it.

In worst case, I suppose that I will have to highlight a report thread for this in our wiki management forum after some time has passed, as we just highlighted another thread, and there are some important revisions that I wish to do that need to be highlighted as well after I create threads for them.

The advertisement became much better than before, but the ad about military sexual assault therapy is still popping up on occasion. Here's the link for it

While it is technically nothing close to pornographic shit, I find advertising about therapy on sexual assault to be a bit inappropriate for this site. Or not, perhaps it isn't that big of a deal.
